Did you reset the pzb on the correct way? By pressing pzb release.. and not by turn it off when its in Zwangsbremsung mode.
Strange but i have never a Zwangsbremsung.... Only if the route it self is caused due to a failing pzb magnet

Pulling a train or light engine? If you're running the Taurus solo, it's stability is lower than when pulling a train. Iirc, light engine runs are generally restricted to 140 km/h (that's for Germany, there's exceptions though). Also, without knowing anything like superelevation and curve radius at the place of derailment, your post doesn't really say anything. Hitting a sharp curve at that speed could derail any loco except a TransRapid ;)

Yes, but that is exactly my problem. Sorry if I had not made it clear, I am not an English native speaker.

Sifa and PZB acknowdledge are the same key on PlayStation. When I turn on both Sifa and PZB and then acknowledge Sifa every x seconds, the loco makes the PZB acknowledge sound ("Zugbeeinflussung") every time.

This is not the case, for example, on the Vectron, where it only says "Zugbeeinflussung" if there was in fact a reason to acknowledge PZB. Better solution. But the 1116 as the newest loco still has the issue.

oh god, I guess it is one of those guys that spawned Taurus in Free Roam, and went balls to the wall without safety systems (otherwise PZB would keep watching over 160 kmh speed), and derailed at some curve that wasnt designed for nearly as much speed

    as Matt put it:
Free Roam doesnt mean Anarchy On Wheels... physics and such things will still apply and for some reason some ppl are going nuts right now because Taurus doesnt possess ungodly magnets to keep it on track at 357 kmh lol

anyway, maybe I remember wrong from playing a lot with BR182, but I remember it having a bit faster acceleration and struggle less with uphill gradients of 1.0 and more... just did a 1116 run on Rosenheim Salzburg and I kinda expected faster acceleration (my perception of that might have been altered by playing a lot of runs with BR101 in sandwich formation lol)... but since it is Taurus, I will play and test the hell out of it :)

P.S.: I was checking "Funktionen" tab and it has "RailJet betrieb", can be clicked, but doesnt change :)

The OBB 4024 provided in this route is missing the ability to modify cruise control speed via the controller X + RT/LT buttons (while the VBRG one has this function)

May have been mentioned, but I think the audio in the cab of the 1116 needs adjusting.. unless it's that quiet in reality, in that case fine.
But I feel like I should be hearing more of the engine room and more running sounds from the locomotive while seated in the cab (windows closed).

Otherwise, solid route! That mountain descent really gets your attention.

Here a few things to add to the 1116 bug list, which were posted in an other thread:

    - No LZB indication when driving on LZB
    - Above 120kmh the traction and e brake sounds seem to become quiet and disappear.
    - Accelerating and braking at 230kmh is complete silent down to around 120kmh beside the running sounds

DTG should fix those things. I mean this was the one full price purchais i made beside salzburg rosenheim, but i kind of regret it already.

I tested 1116 on German highspeed routes and I got the LZB entry beep and it also showed limit on AFB depending on LZB target speed (upon entering LZB territory, I set AFB to max 230)... will check it when I get back from Vienna :)

edit: what do you think of its acceleration and braking patterns/behavior compared to previous EuroSprinter versions (BR182 MRCE, Rapid Transit version... I dont have Dispolok, so cant compare to that one)?

So, as I actually rode on a OBB IC train yesterday out of Frankfurt (1116 Sandwich and no first class coaches either :P) I decided to actually get the route when I get home, despite actually wanting to wait until a sale. What can I say. The 1116 is very well done I feel, it actually gives me an "alive" feeling, same as lets say the 101, Vectron or the 111 do. Something than cannot be said about the old TRAXX locos ingame (146, 185). I really enjoy it. The only thing I noticed is that the electric brake doesn't have the detents it should have? For me that means that when releasing it I actually put it little more behind the 0 detent, only to then push the train brake also into that detent (Füllstoß) so that they synchronize themselves again. But other than that, nothing to add really.
The route... Well, only did a single run now. I don't think its too bad, I honestly don't notice the part about the same buildings repeating themselves over, although its valid criticism. Out of Wiener Neustadt I really enjoyed the straight through the forest. But the mountains.. Come on. In Salzburg Rosenheim they were well done and now this. They really don't look good at all. It's just some kind of green mush.
Other than that I think its good. The route itself isn't totally bad, I'd just say its mediocre...
Will probably refund it and get it in a sale though.

At the Semmering Bahnhof station, Denkmal des Triebwagen 5144 001-4, although it was even a classic simulator, lacks? And for some reason, the brake buttons did not work in 1116, but the mouse could be moved levers.

I think it appears when Mastery is completed. The Tier 1 Mastery does not show any progress, however, and does not even inform what is to be done to achieve it.

Don't know if this is what some are commenting on about the same building appearing over and over. On the pass there are guard houses every kilometer or so and they do actually look mostly the same, square stone, 2 story structures. Now in actuallity, based on a recent cab ride video over the pass, they are in varying degrees of repair from being used to derlict.

And at this station you can go around the building to go for a walk along the map outside the paths.

    Yes, Im doing it correctly.

I only get caught rarely, usually by not braking fast enough from 160

And to say how to be normal is completely nonsense...this locomotive has a vmax of 230 km/h and can also drive this
It seems to be a weight problem or a stabilization problem, because the train tilts into the curve side but when you are inside the curve, it tilts out to the opposite side again/Or it could be a physical problem.

    /
So I have now completed the test on several routes on the high-speed route Cologne Aachen, the train has maintained the mark of 233 KMH from Kölner Betriebswerk to over Düren even in a sharp curve. Again, the train in front of Fulda derailed in the sharp curve at 233 km/h as on the training center route. I don't know exactly now, but it should be due to physics that the train does not fall into the curve on the left, but on the right. Nevertheless, I ask the employees of DTG to keep an eye on that themselves. I will test this a little more closely next week with different vehicles.

In the tests, I also took into account several factors as well as the settings of the game/it was also tested with the DB variant, it even drove into the curve with 242 KMH without problems
(Please DTG look for better beta tester….)
Brake pressure air noise defective/Every time the locomotive stands a little longer, it hisses then you have to press the brake so that it stops is annoying in the long run.

    Feedback
    -positive
    -the sound is so amazing
-Finally there is every variant of the 182 (Taurus)
    -the sound is great
    -The entire route looks wonderful
    -a lot of vegetation
-The new ic waggons look good
-Despite strong k.i traffic, the textures do not break together (it has been tested 2 times to date and will be kept in mind)
    Negativ
-DB announce at some stations (which is somewhat unrealistic as well as clocks at stations.
    -missing Siemens Logo
-missing Manoeing position in the driver's cab
-missing BMZ Cars on the formation designer
-train Derails from its vmax at 230 km/h, which is unrealistic (still at test)
-missing station name on Wiener Neustadt
-The brakes could be 2-3% stronger (After a short test on the Munich Augsburg route, due to the completely flat route The tests were made with 150 KMH from Augsburg via Augsburg, Haunstetter Straße to the next signal 2.9 km the DB version has stopped 64 m from the signal. The ÖBB variant, on the other hand, 28 m before signal/This was just a small example test. Both trains have completely reached the vmax of 150. You have to stop the ÖBB variant with an emergency braking.

Ah okay! You have to braking to 140 from the upcoming speedreduction. So if you run 160 and you get a 80km upcoming you never reach this by braking after 80 Signal sign with 160...

The route itself and the 1116 are excellent. DTG deserve credit for the excellent sounds in the 1116. Audio in general has improved massively over the last couple of years and its not something that is acknowledged enough.

My big issue with this route at the moment is that (when using the 1116 - haven't tested other locos) I am experiencing Zwangsbremsung (failing to acknowledge) when passing a green signal with no indication anywhere that there is an active 1000hz magnet. Ultimately without a crystal ball or having to acknowledge every signal I am going to be brought to a stop. All of my gameplay is recorded so I have reviewed the videos to make sure that I have not missed a sign or something and I am confident that this is a bug.

Edit: After a bit more play and turning on the safety system helper it seems that some of my problems were caused by overspeeding at 500hz magnets where much harder braking is required than I have experienced in any other route. Maybe they are closer to 1000hz magnets in Austria?

Also, there seem to be some missing and incorrectly placed magnets. There is a green signal in the 'Milkshake' scenario that must be acknowledged or you come to a grinding halt. There is also a short buffer stop platform used for services at Payerbach-Reichenau that gives you the yellow signal on approach but is not protected by pzb.

I know, I know. My problem is sometimes not using enough brake force (I do try to be nice to my passengers!)

Derails- where? Just because a train has a Vmax of X, does NOT mean it can scream through tight-radius turns at X! It's a locomotive, not a Ferrari. Schnellfahrstrecke are designed with very wide, sweeping curves; you can't take a Eurosprinter (or an ICE) out on the Ruhr-Sieg at 200+ and expect to stay on the rails.

At KM post 73.6 there is a part that should have a level crossing... LC at 736.jpg

and just off the route at 73.8 there is a landscape glitch. However it doesn't really impact game play.

Please change these bushes that are planted all along the route and are constantly changing their appearance as soon as the camera gets a little closer. This is very very annoying and cannot yet be circumvented using .ini entries.

Well, I compared this comparatively with the standard trains/182 MRCE/dispo Lok, Duetsche Bahn/All these vehicles remained in the track despite excessive speed/The 1116 follow from 230 KMH out of the track, with their sisters locks with 242 KMH remained in the track/That's why I see this as a mistake/It may be that I made some mistakes in the test that may have happened, but everything has been tested exactly as always/she is also the only one who has derailed during testing

Can it be that you accidently pressed the pzb override? it switches on and keeps replaying that 'zugbeeinflussung' message until you press it again.

Yes, because the physics on the old182 are wrong- that thing will never derail no matter what you do to it.

Well, I wouldn't say that. I have already managed to derail a 182 but that was because it was above its maximum speed. The test with the ÖBB version was with its maximum speed of 230 KMH and it jumped out of the track there. Maybe this was due to the curve position. But I'll test it again right away... Because I'm really assessing the brakes right now (And I honestly even have to admit that the brakes could be 2-5% stronger/possibly that's even realistic. I'll work on finding out.

So what exactly do you mean, the speed test was tested in the training center. I have now specified the video again above and written everything about it

I'm pretty sure the curves at the TC are NOT rated for 230 in a light loco! If a Taurus Buchfahrplan existed for it I'm sure it would specify a lower speed number. (An ICE or TGV can hold curves better, because the physics of an EMU are different).

    I work on it
But in reality it is so when the train goes to the left then it tilts to the left and not to the right but I continue tets.

I will be happy to give you this short information in advance/the tests are halfway completed by Köln Betriebswerk. Up to Düren, the locomotive has stood 233 KMH, even in a sharp curve. In Düren, again on KWG, the locomotive near Fulda derailed again to the right opposite the curve in a sharp curve. I will continue to keep an eye on the problem and test this with other vehicles in the coming weeks.

The lights on the 1116 don’t show in game. Even when you turn them to bright the lights just aren’t there visually. They light up in dark but there’s no visual representation from the sockets on the loco.

actually, I did exactly that - tested it on tracks actually designed for high speeds... and I tested it as it SHOULD be tested aka with safety systems on... and it didnt derail nor shake... AND LZB+AFB controlled the speed in slower sections as, again, it SHOULD

right now I am testing BR101 and all variants of EuroSprinter I have (dont have Dispolok)... and actually 1116 shows best results - doesnt behave weirdly at around 220, it holds 230 nicely most of the time, except steeper gradients, but still around 210-220... no shaking or any instability... old 182 behaves ok, most of the time, but sometimes around 220 it locks 220 into AFB/LZB indicator, sometimes you have to apply and release brakes, or throttle off and back on for the traction indicators to work properly...

I tested the new Taurus on Training center and some other tracks that werent designed for high speeds... the only way you actually can go that fast is to ride without any safety systems AND without AFB (it actually wont let you go over 160 unless the LZB is on and engaged)... and yes I did derail, usually at 220-230, on Tharandter Rampe even at 180 but that one has very sharp curves+steep elevation... but then, again, as Matt said, it SHOULD derail when the physics detects that you exceed the speed like a lot... which it also would IRL, but the game is still being a bit benevolent in this, gives you wider berth than a real loco and track would

if you attempted to drive 220 over a curve designed for like 160, you would absolutely fly into another country :D and I tested both light engine and a whole consist (since added lots of weight should theoretically make the train more stable and stick to the track more, I guess?)

so while doing all these tests is a fun thought experiment, it's absolutely bonkers and nonsensical and doesnt prove anything when set against the state of realism in the game... because once you apply all the rules for proper driving, aka safety systems, speed limiters etc., the conditions those guys tested NEVER take place (unless, again, you turned off safety systems and attempted 140 on Semmering lol), because safety systems/magnets WILL absolutely stop you, realistically, granted

and yes, if you guys detected anger in this, there is a hint of it, yes... because exactly these statements about those ridiculous claims sent me into a multiday anxiety spiral (if your mind has these tendencies, it can absolutely do this), "thanks" to which I wasted unnecessary amounts of hours by testing absolute you-know-what... stuff that I am sure real testers covered and made sure stuff does work at least close to proper... and it made me doubt 1116 in ridiculous ways, which again I spent testing

while I also learned stuff doing those tests, I would much rather have spent all those hours playing shiny new Semmeringbahn, which I liked during my first runs... but only did a D and a "RailJet" service... didnt get to regional ones or for-now-substitute CJX services, BECAUSE my mind was occupied thanks to those... claims

sorry for the rant, but this and stuff around it really sucked a TON of energy out of me, when I should be all jolly happy with a shiny new track and one of my fav locos of all time... like when Vorarlberg was to come out... at the time when TSW4 was about to be released, I was in the middle of a serious episode that in the end lasted over 6months (during which I hadnt turned my computer on, and I LOVE TSW to bits, granted)... and you know what made me overcome that period? TSW and Vorarlberg especially, cos I was so thrilled at first Austrian route and train

so... there is that... I am finally close to being able to enjoy Semmeringbahn and Taurus, because even in my clouded state of mind, I can see they have been done well, not perfect, but still pretty well :) it is a good starting point for an eventual introduction of proper RailJet into the game... which I guess might happen under the Expert Line (keeping fingers crossed for a successful release of Expert BR101) :)

Sorry, 7/10 for this route from me. And the first I almost refunded.

The Semmering scenery is awesome but I can't get rid of the feeling that more dedication to art and detail would've made a difference. "We ran out of time" again?

The route, in some parts, feels steril and bloodless. Somewhat plasticky. No litter, no garbage around the tracks in the yards and stations. No dirt or dust. Same same ballast textures everywhere.

Plus performance issues on some route sections (PS5). And really bad: You get any number of Tauruses and Talents thrown at you, without any other loco to be seen. Replacements and substitution work so great on Salzburg-Rosenheim. Why not here?

And this! Straight to my face when you leave Gloggnitz. I mean ... REALLY, DTG???

The road is magnificent, I am lucky to be on PC and I play in ultra quality.
For my part I am satisfied with my purchase, I do not know Austria and therefore I cannot say if it is real or not.

I noticed some drop in fps in certain places and an increase to 100% of the GPU in these same places.
It's not necessarily where there are the most things on the screen.

I cannot use ÖBB Bmz passenger wagons in Formation Designer
The distance to travel (top left of the screen) is not displayed with certain trains in free mode.
Other than that everything works fine.
I should point out that I am on a PC and that I have no modes and no settings in the “ini” file.
Thank you very much for this very beautiful route (finally on PC)

Weren't all platforms going to get all layers this time? I'm on PS4 and I only have a few layers on Semmeringbahn (Dresden-Riesa, Kassel-Wurzburg, Maintalbahn and the Vectron, but I own all add-ons required for the other layers), and the OBB 1116 only subs in for IC/EC services on Salzburg-Rosenheim (but not on Vorarlberg). Is this a bug or they were never supposed to come out on gen8 and DTG never said so in an article? I can't find anything on this.

    Edit: clarification

The 1116 is coming on vorarlberg at a later time so that's not a bug

I have two graphic errors here. Poorly connected tracks and covered track. Found at Wiener Neustand freight station.

So even more PZB woes on this route. When playing the milkshake scenario, I had an issue at this signal at the western end of Gloggnitz:
    20240421185603_1.jpg
It cleared and when I passed it, I got an emergency brake application because I didn't acknowledge a 1000 Hz PZB magnet. This signal doesn't even have a vorsignal, so it should never have an active 1000 Hz magnet. As an added bonus, the Taurus kept shouting Zugbeeinflüssung at me for the rest of the trip.

Then a bit later on in the same scenario, the vorsignal preceding the hauptsignal protecting entrance to Payerbach-Reichenau showed expect 60 and therefore should have a 1000 Hz activation, but there wasn't.

What happened to PZB on this route? Recently, the PZB implementation on routes has been mostly quite good. How come PZB is so poorly implemented on this route all of a sudden?
