Properly, when crossing an international border, you should change an electric loco to the correct current for the new country. But I can't figure out how to do this (in the Taurus) without causing an immediate penalty brake. What's the correct procedure?
Also, why on Semmeringbahn is there a rogue 500 Hz magnet in the middle of nowhere just west of Pottschach?
as you approach neutral section on border (lets say Salzburg to Freilassing), you click on softkey E on the right digital screen, then select lets say DB with the arrows, again click E, it shows a screen with list of things that are in DB territory, confirm with E... this changes the system to DB and opens MCB... so after passing the border, you just close the MCB and you are good to go
that must be a bug, never happened to me... did Salzburg - Freilassing crossing and it went ok... didnt try the other way yet in timetable mode I always make sure I go a safe speed and hit Q every now and then (so Sifa doesnt bother me during the change)... I guess it must be bug then... if I have time today evening, I might do an EC run with Taurus on Rosenheim and let y know if it went well
just tried Freilassing - Salzburg crossborder in Free Roam, spawned Taurus + 3 IC coaches... as I went through the border, I changed from DB to OBB, and the only thing it did was open MCB, which I did after the neutral section
I do the same but lower the pantograph too as I'm used to the vectron only changing country mode with panto down. mcb open isn't enough
yeah with vectron you have to also put panto down, with Taurus you can do it on the screen, and it just opens MCB with most locos opening MCB is enough
