issue with the M3 doesn't show thr track speed also I think it should say 60 instead of 80 leaving Penn Station

 

M3 doesn't have ACSES installed that's why track speed is not shown on the train. You do get it on the hud so that's a good thing, So everything you there is normal

 

Did anyone else notice that trains on the preview stream were empty of passengers? I wonder if this is a feature of the release version. I'll take a look when Steam downloads later today.

Whatever happened to the Rush Hour Passenger concept?

It's always been like that

 

Passenger behavior is a core issue which deff needs work. They made some improvements with Rush Hour, but subsequent patches have added weirdnesses.

DTG has a dev who has done really good work with passenger modeling lately (clothes, umbrallas, phones, suitcases etc etc); but their behavior is a nother sort of programming- which really needs attention. From the very simple (EVERYBODY gets off at the end of the line, and doesn't ride it to the depot), to the rather sophisticated (passengers move to and wait on platforms based on the departure schedule).

As expected quite a lot of frame drops especially around Jamaica station I'm on PS5?

 

so what was the M3 update even for??

 

No changes to the train; the updare was the new scenarios and layer, and to make it independent of the old LIRR route.

 

The Scenarios Are the Same

 

i can not see any Collectables on the old Stations like Station Maps.

 

Here's some information about LIRR2
1. The route has 39 stations(including Hillside MX complex and Bolands Landing) (most in game) 40 if you include the abandoned Woodhaven
2. Total night services: 113 total playable from 12am-5:59am(most playable passenger service at those times)
3. 49 spawn points through out the route map (most of any route)
4. We have a total of 625 LIRR services, M3(32), M7(287), M9(306) with total of 1104 services that includes all AI (4th most playable passenger route in the game)
5. includes the following 25 complete services: (Most in the game)

Hmm...that adds up to 487 movements through Jamaica in 24 hours. That's...less than half the number of services in the timetable? That doesn't seem right. The Port Washington Branch isn't THAT busy!

That's a LOT of service variety. I think all other routes pale in comparison.

And that’s not counting the actual service variety. That’s counting only realistic end to end complete service on the route. I didn’t count the actual service variety. Will try to get that number which will bring it much higher

 

Not really. On a route like, say, GWE, the freight services are all exactly the same, Reading to Acton Yard or Acton Yard to Reading. MSB, straight shot between Aschaffenburg and Gemünden and vice-versa. ECW adds a bit of shunting, but that's it. The only routes with significant freight variety are RSN and Clinchfield.

 

I love how dense it all is. Jamaica looked like a proper station with all those services that were going in and out while I did a quick stream of it for some friends.

I like it. Just dont like that it costs as much as it does for previous owners. Kind of a rip

 

I think thats what the general consensus with some people feel like, especially console players that don't get to benefit with any discount for previous ownership.

New players obviously get a new route, but existing owners should of gotten a bigger discount.

 

I wish that I can disable the safety systems because I'm hearing-impaired and I can't hear the alarm go off.

 

Something worth noting, if it hasn't been mentioned, but for anyone on steam that doesn't own any LIRR content, there is a bundle with the new LIRR route and the M3.

I'm pretty sure if I have to listen to them long enough without ear protection I'll end up hearing impaired.

What the...? I wouldn't have bought it if I knew this was the case, and now it's too late for a refund.

How hard can it be to set up 3 achievements? Why would you even omit achievements, like, what could possibly be the reason other than "we couldn't be bothered"? They better be a part of Patch 1 is what I'm saying.

The weird thing about a lack of achievements/trophies is that this route intially leaked courtesy of the PlayStation trophies going live on Sony's systems, maybe the MTA don't like trophies.

Signalling is stupid. You have no tracksigns or something else for speed restrictions. Your driving at 60 mph and all of a sudden boom 15 mph and your being braked down. No signs in advance so that you are able to brake befor you reach the actual point. Totally stupid...

This is why being a train engineer is considered a skilled profession. You require training and practice in order to use these systems.

 

If you're wondering whether you should watch Matt's tutorial, stop wondering and watch it! It's short but really good and useful.

As far as I have been able to try it, i like it. Missing Achievements don't bother me, I just want to drive trains.

 

Many people seem to forget this. Trains are driven by professionals.

Always a balancing act for a developer - make it realistic and people will complain, make it easy and people will complain...

 

This game is addicting to me, I just can’t stop playing it lol, but only question is will there be arcing sparks added to all three of the trains? Or it’ll just stay the way it is.

I’m a local of the Long Island Railroad and from the livestream the timetable looked very good, and I bought the route and it is very good the M9 is fire, the M7 gotten much needed updates, and the scenarios look super fun to play and I can’t wait to try them when I have a chance. Like I said in a previous post,” the game was barely over the line of playable” with terrible frequency of services and very little variety including no Port Jefferson Branch trains and just a generally bad route. This route, on the other hand, is very good with an amazing timetable that’s actually real (despite being the old timetable before ESA-2023) and a very good variety of services, including the new south shore expansion. I really like the new route but I have a problem, I play on Xbox Cloud Gaming on my computer and for some unknown reason it gives me the Xbox Series X Timetable Downgrade meaning I don’t really get to play all the services and services I get to play aren’t very unique and since I’m playing Xbox Cloud on a MacBook (which can handle the full timetable), I’d like to know why I can’t play the full timetable and id like you guys to please issue a fix to this problem, maybe make it a setting like on NY-Trenton to display an option to do the full or the reduced timetable.
