    Game has been out for 8 months now and we still dont have suspension or editor improvements. The supposed editor updates were removed from the roadmap a long time ago and havent returned since. Suspension has been taking ages and there are still so many bugs in this game. Can it finally be time to step away from dlcs and fix the core and old dlc's without releasing another game in this "franchise". The way this game has been handled is very very dissapointing. Alot of indie developers do way better than this

    Though they did one year say they were doing that then out came an iteration and no major changes.

    I think its enough when saying that we still waiting for Rush Hour Passengers on BML. A release from TSW2 Times.

    Never buy any tsw product in hope of later fix. Never expect fixes for TSW. Thats sadly the reality.

    No Formation Designer either. (Betas don't count).

    The best argument against there being a TSW5 this year is that we still haven't had TSW4 yet.

    Perhaps, in the next Roadmap stream, no one should ask any questions other than "When are you going to give us fully formed versions of these 3 features?".

    3 is an understatement, there’s still been no form of a fix on Xbox sound or graphical issues in years, not even a fix what didn’t work.

    The assembly line cannot be halted in order to fix bugs or introduce long promised features. So the next iteration of TSW along with its route package will arrive regardless.

    They have developers working on suspension updates although most of the time it's just 1 dev working on it. That's not related to fixing bugs and the entire release schedule doesn't have to be stopped. Editor also requires much more time on it.

    Suspension will likely be one of the main features, if meanwhile, it doesn’t go the way of steam traction and is abandoned as too much effort for too little short term revenue.

    We've been giving updates on suspension and working hard to get it out in an update asap - finalising details on what it means, but I do not expect anyone will be left disappointed.

    Formation designer - again, looking to come out of beta soon, along with creators club integration and another round of fixes.

    Editor - planning in the first set of work, looks like potentially an engineer is available to take it on so possible movement there in the next weeks also.

    Any chance we can get some explanation of why steam locos were abandoned in an unfinished state despite promises, and if DTG will do anything to finish them?

    Appreciate the openness, really want this to continue as its best for the community to know what exactly is holding back these features. I understand that it is taking a while due to technical or staff reasons but i wonder why advertise suspension if it isn't even gonna be out for the next 8 months. same with formation designer and editor. Really hope the cooking problem can be resolved quickly so we can see some nice mods pop up.

    Would love an explanation for this one aswell, where is manual fireman and why hasnt anyone tried to fix the locos yet? if you arent producing any more steam thats fine but atleast fix whats there and make it easy for 3rd parties to create some themselves without broken physics

    Mix of things really. Some things that ended up having to take priority (better to deliver 3 features well, than half bake 6) and it all happened far too late - we are usually recording all the videos and preparing platform store pages with content and features on them *months* before you hear about it because of all the things that need to happen to them after so you need to some extent to take a punt on what is looking likely and then when other things start getting increased bug counts you only have a finite amount of working hours to resolve things so you need to prioritise - and its long after you've announced what's coming. It's a long way from an ideal situation and we'll be taking a much more restrained approach going forwards as we produce content.

    We need a core fix for the overspeed scoring that was recently changed and is causing headaches all over LIRR (and elsewhere). Cab signal drops should not penalize scoring.

    I do hope we can get a good patch on Trenton soon:
    • AI alerters going off
    • Cab signals (I realize this is probably a bigger project...but if we can get correct working signals on Boston and LIRR, can we hire Brandon to do Trenton too?)
    • Train PIS displays (If they can work on LIRR, they should work on NYT)
    • Route maps still say "Ruhway" instead of "Rahway"
    • Multilevel Cab Car alerter acknowledge readout has "Pedal" misspelled as "Pedel"
    • Multilevel door closing chime should be 8 dings, not 6 (this is already correct is TSC, why not here?)
    • Multilevel Cab Car road numbers should be only 7000-7061 (not 7000-7199)
    • ALP46 road numbers are 4600-4664 (yes, this includes the outwardly identical ALP46A, but I think we'd rather have the variety)
    Are some of these trivial? Absolutely, but they are exactly the kind of fixes that show up in UK routes after a few days of release. Why are we still waiting over a year later?

    does anyone still have any doubts that dtg will release tsw5 with suspension improvements as its main new feature? and will definitely add something else useless as justification for another iteration of tsw

    I don't see suspension coming really, and if, only for a few selected vehicles. If I put ts2.CameraMotionSway.AlphaMultiplier to 5 I practically get roughly the same effect. And seeing the suspension feedback threads, there doesn't seem to be huge interest in that feature - there's other urgent things that need addressing imho.

    unless your cab starts to hobble and wobble when your train runs over a switch at anything above medium speed, suspension is merely an cosmetic effect for the external view.
    We don't even have proper track unevenness that is visible to the eye, and a random circuitous 'see sick' effect doesn't count
    in TSW1 we had suspension on Sand Patch Grade, didn't we? At least journal boxes moving up and down, IIRC, besides those brake hoses being reeled in on every camera change.

    Run8 has suspension, loaded freight cars ride on compressed springs, and wobble from side to side.

    oh, and brake hoses are very stiff, they don't dangle like they're made of jelly from the buffer beam like in TSW. In fact, they even aren't supposed to dangle, their gladhands should be hooking into the hangers.

    The problem is there's no "DTG Protagonist"/"Colonel Failure" Sam (his channel and his moderation style in here is/was hilarious) anymore to stop DTG from making promises they can't keep. Still miss that guy. But don't really miss suspension.

    There were off on the February and March Roadmaps indeed. But they surprisingly came back to the roadmap in the last April roadmap within the "To Be Confirmed" category. But I'm just stating letters here. I really hope that this it isn't just a going to be broken promise.

    Matt, how do you plan to go forward with the route projects, which don't suit for the partner programme? One user stated that he couldn't get his paked/cooked route to work in TSW and the Addon Manager maybe forbids to bring user generated routes into TSW.

    Also I remember you saying that you once planned to create something like a Creator Club for route projects. I know this would be very much, but what is your plan to make the route projects work in TSW that are not third party creations?

    Because many creators are concerned at the moment (including myself) if the work we do, really pays off at the end.

    I'm currently working on a test route and find answers whether it really doesn't work and how this circumstance influences my projects.

    (This is something I wanted to ask for May roadmap but since the topic came up I just thought why not asking).

    If you select 'reset simulation physics' in the pause menu it will resolve this.

    Not that we should need to do that, but it does as a temporary workaround.

    To me DTG fixing creators club so you can use down loaded and your own freight car liveries in free roam scenario and formation creator.these have never worked for me and im on console .Also need to get US freight trains to work in the formation creator currently it s unusable i make 6 car freight and it crashes or you get not enough memory or not enogh space this is on a series X it should be able to handle it ...suspension is really not important to me . Also would hope that somtime in the future level creator levels will be able to be downloaded and playable on consoles with no memory or crash issues,, Also livery designer for TSW4 needs to be made more user friendly i dont even use livery designer in TSW4 the older TSW2 and 3 one was easier for less skilled creators to use.

    it occurs on any safety system what has speed reductions before line speed decreases, TVM is another example, anything that’s a safety system enforced decrease.

    Don't purchase anything from DTG based on promised future content or fixes. Purchase only based on what is currently in the game and what is in the DLC you want. Only buy stuff heavily discounted.
    I bought the game early July 2022 got Sprit of steam and couple other dlc that were on the preservation crew updates list.
    TSW2 turned into abandon ware within a month of my purchase
    DTG strung every one along for a good 8 months before saying those preservations crew updates are never coming to TSW2.
    Spirt of steam got one update for TSW2.
    Now steam is abandoned, non of the promised fixes or features came or even were developed.

    Under 1000Hz supervision, 85/70 always light up in an alternating pattern as if in restrictive monitoring, even when you aren’t. Normal 1000Hz monitoring is not displayed properly.

    has the complete lack of an LZB screen in the ÖBB 1116 been passed to the team yet? I saw a lot of posts about it but I haven't seen a response yet. I'd love to drive the 1116 on some LZB routes tbh, it's a great loco I hope to see put on many austrian routes (without 6 duplications)

    I mean the PZB indicators which are always flashing alternately even if your not in an restricted PZB state. This is very annoying because you don’t know if you’re allowed to go with 85 km/h or need to do 45 km/h

    Edit: And yes, I use the mini HUD, so I need to trust the in-cab PZB indicators.

    This might be an "easy" one: Make sure that liveries for the Semmering "Bmz"-Coaches as well as Salzburg-Rosenheims BR 111 spawn randomly in timetable? :)

    Edit: And also all the freight waggons that come with the route?

    I guess this is an rather easy "activate this click box" fix. The 1116 has it activated and i just LOVE how all the liveries from the CC spawn.

    This has been fixed internally by DTG_Liam as well as many of issues with the 377/378, unfortunately it's just a waiting with DTG as to when it gets released.

    There was talk of a package of uk route fixes coming in the summer - with particular emphasis on the ECML, but hopefully also things like this bug (though I don't own the route).

    After driving both, Left Rhein and Rosenheim-Salzburg, made me think of this thread again sadly.

    Its just a frustrating experience when Speed sign are missing, advanced singnals are missing (lfr) or the level crossings are broken on BSR. Especially given those two routes are solid in other regards. I cannot understand how Hudless driving is advertised as it was just to find yourself in a emergency Stop with Spad because of missing signals....

    A shame that those small but FUNDAMENTAL details for a train simulator are simply swept under the carpet. After Salzburg i really have to think twice not to get frustrated again.

    We're aware of *one* speed sign missing on LFR and no missing signals. Get me some details and i'll see what can be done.

    So about the missing Signal :

    Its further down on that Page, posted by Member "OpenMinded" and is perfectly explained there. I'll bet that most of players on LFR had an unexplainable Spad there as you got only the repeater signal, which at this point is 250m away from the home signal.

    Sounds like the missing sign is already known...

    I have to check again but could swear there was a second one missing or incorrect sign at a place.

    Level crossings at St. Goar still seems to be 'broken' (stays open)

    Signals approaching Mainz Hbf should be checked again. Don't know if this is all prototypical but seems weird sometimes if a clear signal leads to a signal at danger. (Im by no means an expert in that regard but it clearly differs from all other german routes)

    And would also like to take this opportunity to point at livery substitution, which only works for the DB Br 110 there.

    LFR is one of the best german routes in my opinion, but in dire need of those fixes. Hope this helps :)

    Would love to see the BR103 finally get the PZB indicators fixed, as it was kinda already working in TSW3. But I think back then the 500Hz restriction wasn't working or something along the lines of that.

    My guess for loaded wagons is, that the core handles a loaded and empty wagon of the same type as 2 separate types.

    This means for example the eanos wagon is available empty and loaded as vtg eanos in consist creator club. (One of the few which has those configurstions)
    This will get a high amount of vehicles, so unless dtg is unable to sort out the situation of the the 4x roos t, 6x zacn on 6 dlc maps, they need to set up the filter and wagon names properly.

    Now its kind of well done, for example a shimmns 708 is named "lfr shimmns708", so its already possible to distinguish.
    Now we just need the loaded or empty configuration, and all formations are possible.

    Immagine 1 year ago just simple formations took 3 hours or more. Tsw 4 did some very big nessecary improvements and steps forward.
