More freight routes are needed. I prefer freight operations over passenger operations. I would love to see some more fallen flag railroads (Santa Fe, Western Pacific, Burlington Northern, Great Northern, and Southern Pacific, especially), some shortline freight routes, and of course, some new freight locomotives, such as the EMD SD7/SD9, EMD GP40-2, EMD GP60/M/B, GE AC6000CW, GE C44-9W, GE B40-8/B40-8W, GE ET44C4/AC, EMD SD70M, SD70ACe-T4, and SD70MAC, Freightliner Class 70, BR Class 60, BR Class 56, 58, 59, and 69, DB-BR Class 232 Ludmilla, etc.
Yes I more a freight operations person and since im console only ..TSW is all we got and I def want more US freight routes DLC in future for TSW ..ive seen that TSC which is PC only has lots of US freight routes modern and retro wish some of these routes could made for TSW TSC stuff cant work for consoles needs redone to fit meaning shorter routes would be great if Saluda Grade that on TSC could be brought to TSW just give us the best segment of the route .. Would love NS and Southern RY hi hood SD40 2 to have to run ..they have canadian rockies routes CP would love to see canadian pacific in TSW they have retro HSC too id pay for that stuff if it come to TSW i buy any US route they do but too many passenger trains in TSW i dont hate passenger it just they spend more time and effort on passenger not enough on freight ..they need more freight cars and locomotives except some people set too high expectations with the sounds im good with the US loco sounds since its hard for DTG to get access etc i
It would be nice if Skyhook would be return with american freight stuff. Sure Cane Creek and Horseshoe Curve have some mistakes. But they are even with that mistakes some of my favourite routes im TSW. And High Iron thinks about TSW. They told me on their Facebook page.
m Most routes have issue s or bugs with something .no route is ever perfect in any content nor will be..
On the US freight and passenger routes i been trying to complete all the scenarios most routes have at least 1 scenario that cant be completed due to a bug or glitch so far the only 2 routes iv e been able to complete all scenarios is sherman hill and peninsula corridor even other content non US ther at least 1 scenario that cant be completed ..same with some of the time tables i just play what i can complete and otherwise i love to do free roam and scenario planner and formation creator spawning cars manually , hopefully DTG will get the formaton creator to fully work with making US freights in the formation editor with no crash space memory issues.
i think DTG needs to sign up some more 3rd party developers that will focus on creating great US freight content routes etc DTG needs to find a cactus juice type person with great knowledge of US freight operation s etc . Thought this after watching the LIRR 2 stream and they had cactus juice and he knowledgeable with the passenger and signaling side and help make that route reaaly shine
Dtg can't force them. It's the 3rd party responsibility to make the decision to join and learn the tools. Dtg are only there to support their decision and help them if they do join. Dtg also can't assign people to a team
I I dont mean for DTG to force anyone but put out a request , example we looking for 3rd party developor s that would like to develop US freight content and or routes , ask if anyone would be interested in helping DTG itself create and improve US freight
Let's not forget that PC players do have access to mods which I understand doesn't address the console players but quite honestly, I think using existing locomotives as a base is not such a bad idea. I don't really mind the default sounds either as they could be used as a base in my honest opinion. Also what I like about freight routes is being able to load and unload tanks and hoppers as well as running unit trains
Peninsula Corridor isn't a freight route, its a primary passenger route. And even if DTG extends it, it would mainly focus on the passenger operations, and not UP's freight ops. Even though I would love for them to add the Port of Redwood to the map.
