A lot is happening in the next couple weeks/ month about electrifying the Eifelstrecke, you can really see the pre-work on some parts of the Route, especially between Euskirchen and Bad Münstereifel. The S-Bahn Köln network works on renewering thr Br424 from the Hannover S Bahn to probably use them on the route. I wonder what RE trains will be in use and if there ever be intercity network too. But I am very exited to text my own services ob the Eifelstrecke when it's done, for example an IC service would be fun to drive between Euskirchen and Hürth
That looks really nice! Can't wait to do some cargo service between the "Mülldeponie" and Euskirchen with the Br363
After 3 hours of work Euskirchen is finished But in future testings i still need to watch for too steep gradients
"Digging tunnels" is a matter of using a transparency material in the Landscape: paint mode. Have a look at this thread: https://forums.dovetailgames.com/th...hn-route-in-progress.76620/page-2#post-788892 Edit: sorry, couldn't see the later posts for some reason.
Unfortunately I didn't have time to work on the project this weekend, but as promised there is a little update video.
How does your "Routemap" for this route look like? For example: What has the mist priority right now, what are you doing later like for example: Euskirchen-Kall: - Track layout -Scenery -Stations
Unfortunately I have been ill for a relatively long time now and have no time to continue working, I hope that I will be able to continue working soon.
No worries, I wish you the best for the project and I hope, that more people will join us and help to get this project going, there has never been a route like a multi Dieselnetz, especially not connecting our hometowns ^^
Right now I'm thinking about how I'm going to proceed with the project, so whether I'm going to lay all the tracks and then stations etc. or just finish the track section with everything on it. I do not want to stress myself because as I find there is the best result when I work on the project when I really feel like it and creative energy
I would’ve done it part wise, like modelling the part between Kall and Euskirchen, etc. But of course the modelling of the houses, streets, stations, etc. are much harder than just laying all the track. But if you prefer to model stations and everything right now, why not starting in the area of Scheven, since there are mostly fields and less houses, and all the tracklayer is already done there
Here's something new. I'm currently working a little on the design of the Kall - Mechernich section. I'm slowly working my way into the vegetation tool. Unfortunately I don't know how to build roads or the best way to texture the ground, so if anyone can help me, please let me know here.
Yeah totaly Right, when I was Young I often used The Br218 to Cologne. I hated this trin because the breaks were so loud
I guess the Eifelbahn has become very popular among more players. Also, Felix der Weise talked about it in his latest video at minute 9:00.
Hello! I'm wondering how will you export it and share with others when your route is finished. As I known , the editor can't export the self-made route into pak files to share
To put it bluntly, I don't have time at the moment. I'm writing my ZB in January and I'm currently driving my 40 shifts, so there's a lot of time lost to work. So the training at the DB is slowly coming to an end and unfortunately my time is getting shorter and therefore I'm spending a lot more time on real trains and real tracks and less time in the simulation. That's why I can't make any progress at the moment
And also because dovetail games do not release tutorials at the moment, it is hard to learn new things in editor
Matin_TSP makes great YouTube tutorials for the editor. If you have time to work on the route again, you should watch his tutorial videos; they are very nicely done!
The big problem at the moment is that my PC was broken and now the unreal editor can't find the route's plugins and my RRO schedule. So I can't work on it. I tried all workarounds but nothing worked. If DTG doesn't patch this, I won't be able to work on the route. Maybe I need to take the project off
Did you tried to reinstall the Editor? Are you using the TSW5 PC Editor or the TSW4 one still? Do you have any backups of the plugins?
yes I reinstalled the Editor, I‘m using the TSW 5 Editor, I also tried to use the Backup Version, but nothing worked sadly.
That's really unfortunate. But still, I really hope that someday you will somehow pick up this project, even though it means starting all over again. I know you will have to start all over, but it's never too late to begin working on that project again, since you've collected a lot of knowledge about the editor, and who knows if the editor will become much more user-friendly in the future? But all in all, I still want to support you on this project, as this route is extremely important to me . What I also have to say is that TSW could potentially become a core game like TSC, becoming a game that the community designs and develops into a much greater game in the future, since DTG gave us the core mechanics, allowing us to begin creating our own imaginations within Train Sim World.
