Can you use the M9 on all your collection or just on the lirr. And can you use all your trains on different route of your collection. I can understand the electric trains are for electric power lines. But fuel train should be able to go on all lines right.

If you're using free roam, you need to be on a route with the same voltage as the LIRR to drive the M9, it can't move under its own power otherwise.

Only on scenario planner with off the rails mode on can you use it anywhere. Same goes for any train.

Naja, but as the security systems are always 'on', well, it is actually limited in 'off-the rails-mode' to 15 mph on routes not fitted with ATC / ACSES, and gets an emergency braking as soon you exceed 15 mph/24 km/h, as it doesn't get informations about the real speed limit on routes not fitted with ATC/ACSES. Tried it on SKW, it's a nice slow 7 hours 40 minutes trip, what means it's the slowest train in TSW by far (the second is the 363, but it runs SKW in 5 hours 30 (somewhat around 36 km/h/22 mp/h))...so, it's a bit questionable or discussable at least, if it's really usable with 'off-the rails'.
