What kind of journeys will we be doing based on that location? Will it be the line from Leicester to Derby? Or Leicester to Nottingham..? Or both??
Thats what I was trying to figure out as well! Thought I could make the signal number out but couldn't figure out where it was lmao
Honestly, the last time I had anything to do with the MML there were still 47s on passenger services, so won't put any money on my predictions! However, I would suspect that a certain amount would head south, another amount heading to Mountsorrel sidings then onwards and others heading straight on further up to Trent Junction(s) where they would head off to other places. I suspect that a certain amount may well head to Nottingham and Derby but unsure of numbers to be honest with you mate.
Hmmm number on that last wagon is 70, class 70 confirmed? Haha. I jest of course but seeing how DTG like to tease stock I wouldn't be surprised if that's how it's teased lol
Living in Leicester I often see freight trains stabled there waiting a path north, sometimes the odd EMU transfer as well.
I hope they do a bundle with Vol 1. I've put off getting it, in the hope of something like that. Pics look great. I hope that SHG go for a new loco next.
Hey, what route is the picture off in your profile picture ? That looks lovely ! Exactly why I am happy PC got it removed
I wish! I would give anything to have a Class 70 in the game.. as you may be able to tell, the 70 is my favourite train!
That's the Conwy Valley Line, Betws Y Coed to be exact - it used to be my local station until I moved!
I don't know.. it's a shame as I love that livery but it can barely be used and also has awful sounds... (in my opinion)
Looking forward to the pack but aaaargh! surely not *another* EWS shed! Yes I know, licensing blah blah blah, but DTG could have made an effort here on SHG behalf, after all, there’s more than one freight operator in the UK.
If the freight operators don't want to play ball, what can they do? The people voted for no fictional liveries and if you try and offbrand mimic one, you might upset them even more.
Well Freightliner have said 100% no as that has been stated by Matt himself. I'm sure it's the same for GBRF, so that leaves you with basically no one as those are the main three.
Colas are quite common in my part of the country at the least (more than any I see nowadays regularly), I wonder if they could be available.
If Colas also refuses to grant the license to DTG, goodbye Class 70 and possible future freight expansions in TSW.
hopefully some of the other licences may change they’re thoughts on giving it one day, never know what other companies will show up aswell.
I'm also hoping for Colas entry into TSW. It would bring the 70 into the game and other freight locomotives, such as 37 and 56. It would be nice to see 43s leading a technical train. There shouldn't be any problems with Network Rail, right?
Yeah, I feel as though Colas would be a better company to have compared to FL and GBRf honestly.. they have more variety in locos and do a good variety of jobs, log workings, aggregate workings, petroleum workings and engineering stuff, and I'm sure there's some other stuff they do that I don't know of yet! Colas are my favourite freight operator if I'm being honest so having them in the game along with the Class 70 and 56 (my favourite trains) would be a dream come true!! I can't imagine Network Rail would have too many issues... I'd hope not anyhow!
A lot of people seem to have forgotten about that.. it's actually a pretty decent pack in my opinion!
It would definitely be doing the community a service if they allowed substitution of those liveried 66s in CLv2.
GBRF has a significantly more varied fleet than Colas, the latest addition being Class 57s (currently not on the Wikipedia article for GBRF, it hasn't been updated yet), the 69s, the different variants of 73s, the 50s, etcetera.
Forget about GBRF, it's part of the First companies orbit, which already has many problems with GWR, in the game. The only thing I don't particularly love about Colas is their livery. It always seems like you see a railway engeneering train!
Yeah, what I mean is that GBRf 50s and 56s don't get actively used, not on freight workings anyway.. Colas's 97s/37s/56s do get used on freight, along with their more current fleet (70s/66s) GBRf only have 66s ans 69s on active, frequent freight workings.. however in general GBRf do have more of those individual locos... (Apologies if I'm wrong)
Yes, Colas and DRS also provide services other than the classic freight ones, such as network maintenance (Colas) and "special" transport, such as nuclear flask etc... (DRS).
Looking forward to this one. Not a freight enthousiast but I found the first one to bring added value to some routes and this one seems to bring this to even more routes. And finally we get some graffiti on trains. Instant buy!
agreed. after the arosa agreggates pack I was against another "gameplay pack" even though I really like how the loco addon bundles added something special to the game like the ROG class 37, Dispolok 182 rescue services (and updated sounds) and the RHTT are nice to see doing something special in timetables. not sure how much the american ones bring but the railbow although a nice special train and I'd love to see the german and blue ICE too one day, is just a paid reskin with nothing special. something to be done in CC very easy. but anyways the first cargo line pack added some freight into british routes that isn't just A to B and this one adds even more stuff like more loading services and is on even more routes. I haven't touched british routes in a bit since I find the ECML boring and I have been on german routes a lot. but this pack is definetely going to get me to play more british. it enhances the entire collection almost and with the continued updates to MML I am loving the way skyhook approaches the community and would love to see more of them. one thing I will buy immediately is an update to the 187 sounds and a german or austrian cargo line. I'd love a 147 with IC2 coaches too tbh.
Take my money! Aggregates loading is a very nice touch and adds to immersion. I also appreciate them adding services to more recent releases like Suffragette Line.
If Skyhook are reading this I want to thank them for producing these packs…makes the sim more realistic. Also, I wonder whether they would consider Network Rail/Wascosa JNA’s & other wagon leasing companies? Licence dependent obviously!
They do have a license for DRS (I would like to see that livery sub freely for the overused EWS, which is out of date anyway). DTG could add DRS liveries for the 37 and 47, and even (maybe, just maybe?) do an 88.
Could always go back to BR days, if variety is off the cards for the current day scene then surely its time to look at how BPO filled their timetable.
Was thinking this earlier. I mean a BR or even sector liveried Class 56 or Class 60 would not look out of place even on a modern route, hauling a rake of freight stock. I wouldn't be averse to seeing a Class 70 in BR two tone livery. There comes a point at which we will have to accept if unbranded or older items are the only way to get away from the tedious Sheds, then so be it. Much as these Cargo Packs appeal, without new motive power to try out simply not interested in spending money on them.
What the flaming henry are you saying buddy. I told you to go see the quack about your medication LOL
Just watched the 2nd part of Skyhook’s showcase for Vol 2….looks absolutely fantastic! Well done Skyhook!
If nothing else, we know that DTG have a licence from DB, and have used it on the 66; the next UK route they might instead of yet another EWS give usthe contemorary DB Cargo livery (DB bought out EWS even before TSW was a thing)
