Anyone else getting no freight substitution on DRA? No Vectron, no DB or Railpool 185, no 143? All I'm getting is the MRCE 185 on every freight consist...
Yes same for me. Especially no others than the core route locos spawn. 185.5 99.9%, 185 2 / 143 very rare. Other than that no other loco (187/155/ vectron....). Im on Pc and this LOVE which got introduced since tsw4 ruined my experience and was the last drop which took my willingness to support tsw activley. Got maintalbah on sale, Havent bought lirr 2.0, haven bought fife circle. Wont buy the next dlc. Thats how it will be from now on.. But at last no annoyance from my side, because i dont care what dtg is botching next on a route i paid 6 bucks. *here to add, i have not a single mod installed since they also botched all modders work with introduction of the Addon manager, which probably causes the enitre mess and is not a problem, the pc users ever had.
This has been an issue on and off since the launch of TSW4. Whereas before the substitution seemed to be an even split, it now leans heavily in favour of either the route's own loco or if the service is a layer, then the loco of the route which engages said layer. Substitution does work to a minor degree in my experience on PS5, I was surprised the other day to see a double headed freight train with a 185+187, but it is way less common than it used to be.
This is the first time it’s affected me. Can’t wait till it’s fixed. Used to see them all the time… the fact that it’s rare now is so frustrating.
Update: After doing a few runs on Dresden it appears (?) that its all sorted now? I’ve seen a Vectron and a 143 on freight services… (still loads of 185s, no 182, 187, etc. but still better than before)
I have noticed that 182s and 187s very rarely sub in, and in the few times I do see a 182 it most often seems to be the Dispolok version. I think the game may perhaps lean preference towards subbing in newer editions of the same locomotive, as for the very same reason I rarely ever see the RP 185 about. Exact opposite for the 155 though, despite the new version released with Bremen - Oldenburg I only ever see the older red version subbing in.
I only have the 155 from BRO and I don’t think I’ve ever seen it. You’re right about the Dispolok 182s, but I can’t even remember the last time I saw one lol. I feel like I might’ve seen a MRCE variant at one point too.
There are a few mods you can download to improve substitution, when i got the red 155 its basically all i saw and had to get the mod to reduce it. opposite with te 182 where i got the mod to increase it. Still basically see no Red DB 182's or 187's
The problem with that solution is that this thread is tagged with Playstation, and I myself am in that category also. For us on consoles who have already spent an ungodly amount of money on this game over the years which rules out moving platforms, the only solution to any problem we have in cases like this is for DTG to patch it themselves.
