PC Tsw4 With Official Announcements?? | Dtg This Is The Real Deal!

Whats giong here?! Yes if you look long enough you have noticed something There are really professional announcements in this video! No i didn't speak German good enough, so no self made but this is a product from Versystem... Maybe some people knows about this website that have made some beautiful products for TSC and have made it now for TSW4! It is a paid subscription but you can test it for free for 2 weeks. At the moment there is 1 timetable run available so a full price subscription is a little to much but i hope they will grow and make more of this nice things for us! Doing that with Kassel-Wurzburg isn't very smart with just 3 stations....

Yeah, VerSystem are working together with the original DB announcement speaker, Ingo Ruff.

 

Yeah i hope thay will produce more for TSW!

 

But that's "just" an external software playing these annoucements. Sure, they sound great. But they're not built into the game as far as i can tell. There are mods doing similar stuff with other softwares as well. For free. While I love the idea to have on board announcements, this is not a way DTG could implement.

Also a legal question: Is that not against the TSW EULA?

 

Yes this is a separate program.... But the purpose about my post is the quality of the sound recordings and this is ins't available as a mod! The mod versions are computer voices and far from the real deal!

And what is here against the EULA do you think? This doesn't changed anything in the game it self..... Or do i understand you wrong?

 

No, but isn't that still considered user generated content? If that's the case, it might actually violate it. But i'm not a lawyer. I just asked the question, i don't have the answer

But don't get me wrong. I appreciate their work! Having annoucements might inspire DTG or the community to do equal stuff

 

Mwa if it was than they are way to late.... For TSC its there for ages now.... Versystem has begun with TSC and thats years ago.

I really like that it is using the correct voices and also the right phrases.

However, I just don’t like the idea that I have to manually shift through the sentences (BTW: This also includes the fact that I don’t like to manually close the doors on a high speed train, as it is currently modelled on TSW, as irl this is not done by the driver).

But, as I understand from a comment on another threat from Matt that DTG is developing an interface (API) for external programs to interact with TSW. From then on I would be interested in this kind of external app.

 

So true! Its not realistic to close the doors by a traindriver on a ICE but thats the difficult point here.... You have trains (mostly Local) that needs by the driver and you have long distance one thats done by the train manager.... so not so easy to do i guess.
