At Mountsorrel railhead there is a new portacabin you can enter and inside is a bunch of Easter Eggs to discover. If you wish to find these for yourself feel free to look away now. The first thing you'll probably notice is an evidence board talking about a UFO in Glasgow, this is a reference to the Cathcart Circle Mastery reward, the Discord has already gone over the coordinates and it just takes you to Neilston in Glasgow where the UFO lands in game The second secret can be found on the laptop and opening it reveals a train blueprint. I'm not 100% what it is because the resolution is quite low but it appears to be a 373? That's the conclusion the Discord server came up with anyway but if anyone knows what else this could be let me know. The third and final secret can be found by opening the top-secret drawer which reveals all of Skyhook's future DLC plans! Or at least it would if you could actually read them, so close yet so far That's all I could find so far, I will update this post if anything else turns up but this is a cool thing Skyhook added.
I have a strong feeling this might be a teaser for something very big coming up(The 373 finally coming to TSW). It's kinda odd how Skyhook has multiple albums full of References for the 373..
that's cool. this is way more fun to speculate about than complete radio silence and the 20th enough is enough thread. who knows we'll see something on the roadmap in two days.
Woahhh hang on, 373 eurostar? That would be a day one purchase for me - though it'd have to come with a new route (and layer as AI on SEHS, you could also have some scenarios?)
Another extension to SEHS may well be on the cards- a 373 to Folkestone where the service would automatically end into a portal wouldn’t be the worst idea in the world
I wouldn't like that tbh, I think not starting and ending at a station wouldn't be a good trajectory for TSW.
If you watch the GOBLIN preview stream at around 1hr 13 mins, Matt references a class 37/3 after mentioning HS1, and it could be a reference to a 373 in disguise
Oh god the 373 on third rail, that was a substation killer . We can keep dreaming for that train but let’s hope it’ll come one day on TSW. Why not during the old days of GNER with the NoL version, yeah I’m too much optimistic.
I think the 373 is nothing more than a neat Easter egg since it’s often talked about in relation to possible SEHS expansions which I should add is unlikely as Matt has already said the route is not gonna receive anything more DLC. A GNER 373 I also think is unlikely, especially from Skyhook.
Yep. They had the Class 43 with the Intercity125 and the Class 91 with the Intercity225. I think there was only one Class 90 with GNER colors but not the logo. And the Class 89 of course as said above.
Well Matt said they (DTG) were done with SEHS, that doesn’t automatically mean third parties are being told no DLC to be made for SEHS. SHG clearly have an interest in it, as they’re adding scenarios.
True, I’m just thinking if we were getting Eurostar maybe there’d be a more engaging routes out there instead of nonstop back and forth runs between London and Ashford? Maybe not.
Technically could be a French or French/Belgium route. Lille to Brussels or paris perhaps? Doesn't have to be UK!
we have all eurostar station in UK so there are only 4 stations could be make Calais frethun,Lille europe,TGV haute Picardie and Paris nord the TGV 200 could be sub in the route with a lot of services (TGV) timetable but i think that we need a expansion of this route to C2G and lille flandres and maybe the TGV réseau Tricourant for replace the Eurostar ex Thalys service or something for me if DTG will make a really busy route we need TGV Tmst (class 373) E 320 (class 374) TGV duplex 200 TGV réseau (Tricourant) TGV dayse (ouigo) the LGV north is the most busy LGV section in France
but The Eurostar Service pass 4 stations in real life and it's maybe the most potential section the section to Brussels is really not a great idea and eurostar service stop at lille europe
License can change all the time... And with the recent partenership with "Thalys" the brand is changing
but there are a problem if DTG has plan of 373 dtg has for sure maybe get the eruostar license why because the 373 (tmst) is in license with eurostar too it's impossible to get plan without the Eurostar license and it's why for example there isn't 373 in TSC or a 373 with official plan
The new update for Midland mainline is great nice to have some flying Scotsman services also great job Skyhook keep up the good work
Now I do like the sound of 373s, very nice machines and bloody powerful too. Obviously the chances of these coming are low, but would happily see them come with a Valenta HST back on KGX to PBO back in the GNER days.
The Class 373 for the ECML would be a bit weird given these only ran for a short time, surely making the Class 91/Mk4 sets would be much more useful for presumably an equivalent amount of work. The Class 373 could run on SEHS if Skyhook somehow acquire the Eurostar license, unless it were to be an unbranded release with just the connex-style yellow band and dark blue roof on a white bodyside.
the big problem is you can't make plan and official plan with 373 without eurostar licence eurostar holds all plans under a specific license for the 373
IMO some sort of cursed mixed era GNER action on LNER would be more likely, considering the work id imagine would be needed to get a Eurostar licence. Who knows, might be unbranded, but still a 373 is one thing I’d of never expected to see in TSW.
Wait a minute.... There is only a picture noting more... So there is absolutely 0% evidence that this is a serious thing......
With the blueprints those are definitely multiple trains, from what I can see it looks like a Class 373, and a TGV from a birds eye view, and at the top of the screen it looks like some type of slam door EMU, while the train on the top right bears a lot of similarity to the front end of a 1973 Stock? Though I could be wrong due to the low resolution quality.
Would love to see a drivable 373 on SEHS on services calling at Ashford, with AI for the non-stoppers. It's a shame DTG are not going to continue extending this route like they did in TSC, be nice to do a run from London to Ramsgate or Dover for example.
Imo the train on the laptop is either American or it could them trolling us with a intercity 250 as the image looks a lot like illustration of one of these scrapped trains for the wcml if so it would be a nice troll.
tmst was run btw London-brussels, paris nord (north),london-marne la vallée, london - Marseille st Charles and london- Bourg st Maurice
If I'm not mistaken, trips to the south, on LGV Rhône-Alpes and Méditerranée are only in the summer months. With direct connections to London and Bruxelles.
Agree that the two lengthwise trains looks like a 373. On the top line Left to right. A Swindon-built cross-country slamdoor DMU, a Class 380, then it looks like C69/77 and D78 Underground stock.
