Hello, Finn the Train Dude here, so apparently a Class 104 is coming soon, which is Great! I've personally wanted another first generation British DMU For years now, and the 104 is a simple but still great choice, but now I feel a duty to bring up a DMU(s) I've personally always wanted since the early TSW2 Days, and that's the British Rail class 123 and 124, hard to talk about one without the Other,

    --What are they?--
The Class 123/4s were Swindon Built DMUs built primary for Inter-city and Express service respectively, mechanically both are Very Similar in a Few key ways, both had Leyland 230hp engines, both had Restaurant cars, both are extinct, and later on both units could be found in Mixed Hybrid Sets with each other on the Hope Valley Line, as I said, all members of these classes were scrapped, they don't exist anymore, But, My source of info here RAILCAR.co.uk does have Photos of all the important bits, Cab/General Interiors, and Plenty of Information and Photos of the Units themselves that I feel it's reasonable enough to make a Virtual Recreation for our Enjoyment, as for engine sounds, the Class 115s do have a few preserved DMBS and they use Similar engines (could be a good opportunity to make them in TSW too), Now, Let's talk about the units individually.

    --Class 123--
The 123s were 10 4-Car DMU sets, with half of the sets featuring Buffet Cars, this leads them to have a Unique Appearance as they Feature Gangway doors on the Cab ends, a feature Uncommon on DMUs around this Time, to allow people from the non-Buffet sets to access the Buffet Car, should they operate together, the Cab ends overall are similar to Class 309 EMUs, even though both classes are built by different Builders.
When it comes to where they can operate based on Existing routes. Diesel Legends is the Main one that comes to Mind, could substitute the Class 101 or have brand new services, can also be combines with th

    --Class 124--
Ah yes, the 124s, these were the Ones I particularly Wanted for a long time.
The 124s or "Trans-Pennine" sets were 6-Car Express DMUs originally made for the Hull-Liverpool services, Traversing the Huddersfield Line, or as we know it, Northern Trans-Pennine, These units were unique DMUs for their Time, Similar to the 123s they Featured buffet Cars, but also had Powered Middle carriages without Driving Cabs, essentially a B-Unit, which as far as I Understand was not a thing on British DMUs around that time, with the 4 Powered units and the 230hp engines that gave each set a total of 1840HP, which is a lot for DMUs, but also made them Faster than the Steam Hauled Express Trains that predated them.
For where they can Operate on Existing routes, well NTP is an Obvious choice they were made for it basically, and whilst it is a little out of when these unit would've been operating there, they can have a couple layered services on Blackpool - Preston, as the real-life units where on some Services to Blackpool
honestly, I'm surprised we didn't get this sooner, of course all of them being scrapped doesn't help, but refer to what I said earlier.

    --The End--
And that's really it, I mainly wanted to suggest the 124 but I figured since both are Very similar, I just lump em together into a Sorta pack, Since we are getting a Class 104 sometime Soon I figured i suggest them, could add a Bit to existing routes. anyways Peace and Chicken Grease People, I'm just an American who like British trains.

I have long suggested both classes for DLOGW (123) and NTP (both) as they were appropriate to both routes at the times reflected in game, that being 1971 and 1984 respectively. Although neither class still exists today, they use practically identical mechanical components to most of the first generation dmu fleet and hence, the physics and sounds should not be a problem. There are many sources to get accurate scaling and interiors etc, primarily Railcar.com as well as many printed materials. Please please please DTG or any of the third parties that make UK content. I vote for anything that would give us more of the first generation DMUs.
