lorenz, what I have found is the first train in the line is the one causing the problems. Delete that one and see if the others start moving.
Not if in Journey mode. Sorry DTG but until this issue is resolved the route is unplayable not knowing if every run is going to end up in a massive stand off. I'll rebuy it in a sale if or when the issue is resolved or we can delete stuck trains in Journey mode.
Remember If you can name service numbers would help out to see if the service numbers you had issues have already been reported, Did any of the service you played start between 7:25am and 8:20am.
As far as what has been reported all Journey modes are completable. service2010 has the AI train 815 stuck behind the signal after Jamaica but it doesn't block the player train from finishing and getting credit for the service. As reported by pixelade. Hope this information helps
Everything's a drama! It's not worthy of my interest. I won't consider buying it until it's at least 50% off in a sale. I've bought it a few days in. I've not glanced at the manual or read stuff in this very thread about the safety systems, so they must be broken. I've found an (admittedly) annoying problem that I'm going to jump up and down about until DTG provide an immediate response written in blood. It's completely unplayable and life as we know it is over. I'm never going to buy another route again until it's been out for at least 3 months and all the bugs are fixed. Repeat.
No one is jumping up and down, but for £26.99 I would, 1. Have expected these issues to have been tested for before release and, 2. Some sort of acknowledgement form DTG particularly over the deleting trains issue.
It won't be very simple because I noticed that each train (M3, M7, M9) has different services assigned. And the fact of not being able to disable the security systems doesn't speed up any further. (The M3 can, but as already mentioned it has different services) M7 7:31 Train 2021 Ronko->Penn: Broken. M9 7:30 Train 2015 Ronko->Penn: Broken.
Ok so service 2021 has been previously reported and already on the Jira. Here’s the cause “service 2813 (far rockaway-Penn) goes off path as he enterers Penn station on north tube. He suppose to go to track 19. Any service that starts from 725am to 820am is affected and can come across off path AI trains. Hope this information helps
Another thing it makes me even more sad about scenery on this route - that is Jamaica is the only station which is become visible from a distance during night time. All other stations is completely dark from distance.
So that service is not really but you do see the stuck trains at Jamaica heading west. So player just wants to be able to delete the stuck trains for immersion purpose which I understand. The issue is since is a journey mode service you can't do it. If you do it you wont get credit for the service
Is there any chance that DTG will assign a person with the task of placing transponders(even reused from NEC) on the route for a future patch? Otherwise, we might think that there will be no AWS magnets models on the next British route. After all, even without such an "unimportant" detail you can sell it.
I'm not 100% on this one, but I read that these points were hidden on this route as per licensor agreements for the route.
That's sounds so weird. Transponders really need to be on the route, cause its a marker for the points where is speed restriction or signal speed can change. Without them all route is looks wrong.
That applied to code change points appearing on the 2d map. I don't think anything ever came up about ACSES transponders or impedance bonds in the track gauge. I doubt anything will be done about it now because it may require approval by the licensor to implement.
It seemed to me that you could just use a model without a config part. The system is already placed and it works, the only thing missing is the visual component. It will be sad if the route remains in its current visual form. We now have a wonderfully working North American route with in-cab signaling (I believe that the AI will be fixed). Which I really want to ride again and again. But its visual part is such bad in allmost every aspect.
SO. MUCH. TRAFFIC. Literally in awe of this route. Besides the few hiccups with AI trains, this is easily the best route in the entire game for me. Amazing job, dovetail! Can we have this quality for all US routes (especially passenger) going forward, PLEASE?
I'm glad you are enjoying it. Try free roam using F125 in LIRR livery and drive either a port Jefferson or Oyster Bay simulated service and you will see how great the signaling is and how well it does along the electric stock
from searching with the keyword 'F125', this is the only MTA livery I could find. It's branded as "NTA" due to licensing copyright. Is there a better one out there? Can't seem to find it.
It would depend on the route itself. Some are naturally quiet. Some are very busy. It would also require a "Joe" to create the timetable and a "Brandon" for the signaling and plenty of time to actually create and test it.
How do you find this stuff? I guess creator club is kinda bugged when it comes to keywords cause it seems impossible sometime to search for stuff. Searched MTA, F125, etc. and only got that one that I shared haha
Here on XSX the only way to finish the 2021 7:31 service with destination NY Penn (on M7 train) is what you suggested. Having arrived at the left tunnel, about 4000 ft from the stop at track/platform number 15, where I find the path blocked by numerous trains, I cancel the first one in the queue. I specified the left tunnel because on the right the line of blocked trains was almost as long as the entire tunnel. So for me (at least on XSX/S) the service is broken, but bypassable by canceling trains. Tried again 10 minutes ago to make sure I wasn't wrong.
I agree really great route. Mostly I've noticed no issues with the AI trains most of the services I've tried work great! Just one interesting occurance I had on service 811 at about 0635am on the M7 departing Long Beach to Penn as I departed , an AI train was also departing from one of the sidings on a track joining up to mine . Then because the siding is not guarded by a signal this train did actually touch my train although luckily stopped by itself and didnt derail my train. Is it the case in real life that there are no signals to stop this happening? Other than this , this was a good service. In the attached pic shows the train on the left side just before it hit/touched my train. There is no signal to stop it, maybe this is the case in real life? Does the driver just have to know to stop by him/herself? I noticed the siding has a manual switch joining my track.
I don't know this livery nor do I know if there is an F125 with that livery in reality, or if it is an existing livery adapted to a locomotive that does not actually use that livery. But by looking at it I believe that the yellow bundle has something that has little to do with the train line, the defect is found on the sides, below and outside the headlights. The yellow follows a line unrelated to that of the locomotive. Not harmonious or unsightly. Then maybe I'm wrong. But in my eyes it seems that way. Now I'm looking for it... if it exists. Look for example at the (original) Californian counterpart. Notice how the color lines are more in tune with the lines of the locomotive. In general, although I am referring to the yellow band that goes around the external side of the headlights. You can't see it from the front, but from the side you can.
It doesn’t exist of the F125. That’s is just to make it look like the DE30AC that is used on LIRR in real life. Just for those that want to try free roam to simulate diesel service from the Oyster bay or The likes of Port Jefferson Branch
Fog is just ridiculous in TSW at this point, I literally can't drive on any route with dynamic weather enabled without fog reducing visibility down to 200 metres within 10 mins of starting a service.
Then searching a bit, I found this old model. This would be much easier to draw because it has very square shapes, and not even a line of headlights with curves to follow. For example, similar liveries would look good on the EMD F125: https://www.reddit.com/r/nycrail/comments/16tklo2/six_more_siemens_sc42dms_for_metronorth_railway/
Just as a heads up, Matt just mentioned in another thread that the ability to remove stuck trains in Journey mode is currently being tested. Thanks for (hopefully) sorting this out. As an act of good faith have therefore re-added LIRR 2.0 to the collection.
A minor grumble having got the route reinstalled and resuming the Journey mode. Why on earth are we being forced to wait 10 minutes in Westside Yard after arriving with the empty stock from Penn (ex Train 5 from Babylon)? This is total nonsense and ties in with the Suggestion I made earlier. You should not be forcing people to sit staring at the monitor for several minutes after completing the last task. The train has been allowed something like 13 minutes for a move which takes about 3. Did someone not note during testing and suggest some adjustment be made? This needs to be fixed please, either by adjusting the timetable for this or any similar slack timed move, or simply declaring the scenario/run complete on arrival. Still got 5 minutes to go after sitting here typing this.
as an addition, there are quite a few services where you have to wait multiple minutes after reaching the end. mostly services to NY penn, where you already have to wait 5 minutes, that then continue to westside yard, and then you need to wait 10 min to end it. i really don't mind waiting at jamaica or so, but at the end, it's just ridiculous
This needs changing, then. A booked scheduled wait during the run is one thing, like if you run early on SKW but just sat here looking at the screen for ten minutes is ridiculous. It's not like Steam will allow me to load another game while waiting, so I could drive my truck a few more miles in ATS or similar.
I’ve noticed the instantly vanishing fog on countless TOD4 routes, and the issue extends beyond fog to other types of weather as well. I find it more immersive to play with static weather which is unfortunately as dynamic weather was launched as being “more immersive”
hopefully before or around the summer core update. I asked this multiple times during the roadmap stream but never got a response.
More of a core issue, but running a long train booked to call at short platform stations we are still getting doors open on the whole train, i.e. not just the section on the platform. Surprised LIRR/MTA signed off on that one. And it might just be me and my potato PC but I'm finding the performance a bit rubber bandy, particularly sound which keeps doing a "whoop, whoop" every time the graphics stutter.
I appreciate your attempt at realism in the decision to remove passengers from the platforms at night. But maybe it’s worth returning at least a few ones? Otherwise, what’s the point of night services if there’s no people on any of the platforms?
Nice scenery but a bloody annoying route. Not only is it bugging me, its bugging my missus. The constant beeps and alerts EVRY 5 MINUTES, even when you are stopped at a station is infuriating and has made the route unplayable. You cant even admire the scenery because the alarm is ready to go off at any moment. This game is not just about the sim aspect its also about relaxing scenery. You need a toggle to turn the warning system off.
If you put it at max brake when you stop the Alerter won’t go off. Sometimes when I just want to see and enjoy the route I do it as a passenger.
