I've just re-run the test, this time with a 47 from the UKRS Free Pack. That's from 2011 and uses scripts from RW3.

Same result, passing a TPWS grid that's protecting a signal showing a red aspect gives a brake application. No alarm horn as with AWS, just a straight emergency stop.

    Yes.
I started the train further down the platform and the AWS sounded for the Green Signal but passing over the AWS Ramp near the signal it sounded a warning. It is set correctly and the loco should ignore it.

Both those ramps are permanent, sounding regardless of the signal's state

    What you're hearing isn't a fault.

Permanent AWS ramps cause the alert to sound regardless of next signal state, but they should only do so if the track link is facing the same way as the direction of travel.

Peter, have you edited that ramp to have the correct direction set?....by default it's the wrong way round so, as Steve has said, it doesn't sound.

I have NOT Edited any AWS Ramps
The ramp in the Picture is NOT For the Signal just BEHIND It but for the one at the Cheltenham end of the station
Therefore the Link is pointing in the Correct Direction towards a Signal that Does not Clear so a Permanent AWS is correct
The Ramp for departing towards New St is part way down the platform and did sound Correctly.
But then Approaching the Signal in the Picture which was clear I got ANOTHER AWS warning

It should not sound when going the opposite direction to the Arrow.

Which one of the 2 ramps are you actually driving over?

The One in My Picture that I clicked on to determine if the Arrow was pointing South West
Which it is Correctly and the AWS should not sound.

Back to the loco and it is becoming a pain to place a loco on to the track

In both my installations I can select the correct pack and any of the locos but as soon as I move my mouse away from the pick list it is CTD with out of memory.

The Default DTG 60 can be placed on the track as normal

See post#2. It's not working v75.8a but in 77.1 it does. I've made a few test scenarios on various routes using it without issues.

I don't have a ramp part way down the platform, have you got any 3rd party mods applied to the route?

Having looked at the route I though there was another magnet part way down the platform but its not there.
    My Error.

Not a problem, it does mean that the duplicate ramp is the root cause.

I think the outbound magnet should be a normal AWS Magnet.

Should there actually be one?..it's much too close to the signal to be of use.

Maybe not - I put it there just to see if it worked correctly - and it did.

Whichever works is the way to go...the main thing is that the problem has been resolved.

I can confirm that the normal DTG Class 60 works fine with no issues for me on all routes. Its the MJW pack that wears the bugged script. I supposed I can do some manual editing with the Class 60 bin files and copy them over to fix the MJW pack myself.

Isn't it a pointless exercise fixing the MJW scripts when the issue is fixed in the upcoming public build releasing very soon anyway as has been verified by Spikee1975 using the current beta build?

Whatever v75.8a didn't like in the lua scripts seems to be ignored in v77.1 just as it was before v75.8a.

But without the scripting the MJW features wouldn't appear.

Right, in that case. I will just wait for the update to come though. No action needed?

Right, I have switched over to the beta v77.1 and the Class 60 works 95% better this time around with only one TPWS bug. Progress and maybe MJW is awaiting the update before needed to do anything which I understand fully in this situation. Screenshot_Birmingham Cross City_52.32022--2.04992_15-35-53.jpg
Here is the scenario I am working with 60097 set in 2004! Yes this is based on a real event although the NPC trains are fictional timetabled due to the lack of information available.

Where was that?,,,whilst we're all in investigative mode we might as well see if we can sort that out.

Would it be better if I make a video? I have since updated the launcher to v77.1 which has made the Class 60 prone to TPWS tripping but it is still a problem on the Huddersfield Leeds to Manchester route at Leeds, Huddersfield and some other bits of the route.

I guess we need confirmation now that the core update fixes the MJW 60's previous issues.

I know its been a while but here is the video. Work and other commitments have gotten in the way until now.

Still, the TPWS bug lives on sadly. This is with the update.

At all the locations in that video. This happens a lot! Usually happens where is a lot of rear facing signals. Hope this helps.

I'm trying to help here...don't tell me to watch a video for an hour and half but just say "at signal X,Y,Z just outside station A, B, C"
Let's deal with a single instance before trying a global fix.

To be honest. It happens so many times that I have lost track. Seems these days that I cannot talk to anyone here or on any forum anymore without someone trying to rip my head off. Sorry for asking.

I will try and work on something as a temporary fix for this because its only a buggy script that is letting down this fantastic pack. With the recent announcement of the new OO gauge model coming from Accurascale. That has made me want to use this pack more than just AI traffic. I did the video to try and help others including Major Wales himself if he uses the forum to shine some light onto the problems. As once the TPWS bug is fixed, this will make this pack usable without frustration. Because of the work I do offline that involves a lot of patience, I can tolerate the bugs as I just keep on mashing CTRL+Q until the red light goes out and hold brake release until it comes out. I also understand that not everyone's patience might be as high as what mine is.

I also downloaded the Class 60 revamp pack.
Inside the zip file is a pdf with instructions and two exe files. -
    Class 60 Revamp Pack.exe dated 07/07/2022 & MJW Class 60 Revamp Pack.exe dated 02/06/2024
I only ran the newer of the two exe files and so far no problems with the pack.

Only did a short test run to start though.

Trying this for the first time and wondering if the vigilance is accurate, I feel like I have less time than the AWS to acknowledge before an emergency application is applied.

Driving the IKB version there seems to be only a small amount of amps shown on the ammeter as well, the ammeter is in kA, it looks as if the value needs a multiplier before being handed off to the gauge. Not sure about other versions as havent tried them

I am going to be doing more tests at the weekend on the Huddersfield Line. I have tried the MML and I can do a clean run once I am outside of the Newark Northgate to Lincoln as I tested the overspeed TPWS and it does work fine. I just need to try my scenario from Derby to Nottingham as part 1 of the Kingsbury to Humber with DB 60001 with 32 empty TEA's as I saw that one back in July 2017 in this state. Semi fictional scenario but all from memory.

I got caught out with the AWS as I was looking at the 2D map when it sounded but I had enough time to hit 9 to go back to the game and push Q before the brakes applied.

You did install with MJW Class 60 Revamp Pack.exe file?

If anyone gets any issues. Try removing the old version and then install the new one using the auto installer instead. I installed mine from the desktop and run as admin. Hope that helps.

Yeah roger but it is not the AWS that is the problem, it is the vigilance that seems to have a rather short space of time for acknowledgement.

It should be 5 seconds before it dumps the brakes if/when the DSD goes off and is not reset. I think its 3 seconds on this one in the game.

Yeah it does seem a bit quick, I wonder if the DSD sound is delayed a bit giving the impression of it being shorter than it is

I get the same with the Class 390 revamp pack. I don't know whether it's the original model or Ben's tweaks but I keep having the brakes slam on. I don't switch it on as a result, which reduces the immersion.
