I think that an Irish route would be a great addition to train sim world as there are many Irish playes like myself in the game. An Irish route would be easy to create as Dovetail is based in the UK. Although our gauge here is 1600mm I think you should really think off adding one. This is my proposal:

Bray - Dublin - Dundalk (+ Howth Branch)
This route has a combined length of 99km (62mi) which is not incredibly long. The route has many different varieties of services along the line. The DART (Dublin Area Rapid Transit), The commuter, the intercity, and the Enterprise running from Dublin to Belfast which is a core part of Irish Railways

    Included Locos:
    • Class 8100 (DART) - The class 8100 is one of the most iconic trains in ireland and is one of the oldest still running on the electrified DART lines here in Dublin. This train would provide services from Bray to Malahide and Howth as this is where the electrification ends. This train would be vital
    • Class 29000 ( Commuter) - This train would be just as important as the DART on this line. The Class 29000 runs services from Dundalk and Drogheda to Dublin Connolly normally. AI services would be visible coming from the Maynooth/Sligo line and some services would run to Rosslare Harbour. These trains are express after Howth Junction which adds a sense of racetrack to the route.
    • Class 201 with coaches (Enterprise) - the final train I think should be includes is this, it runs express services from Dublin Connoy to Belfast and would have intermediate stops at Drogheda and Dundalk. This train is also iconic to this route
An add-on that may be added in the future of this potential route is the Class 22000 which runs intercity services from Dublin Connolly and is put on Commuter services in North Dublin. I hope you can consider adding an Irish Route and I believe this is a really good option. Thank you.

Would like to see something from Ireland but maybe set back in the classic era when everything was loco hauled with 071’s on the main long distance services with 121/141/181 and the old 001 class on other services. Dublin to Rosslare or Rosslare across to Limerick would be my preferred routes, or maybe something out west to Ballina and Westport. The problem being of course very low service frequency. IIRC many of the routes only had three or four trains a day in each direction, apart from the Cork and Belfast lines.

Yeah that wouldn't be good at all IMO. I think this is the best because of the sheer amount of services and variety of express and DART. I hope one of the developers sees it

Could we maybe go out to where electric territory ends at Greystones?

Or instead of cross bordering, maybe DTG should create the Dublin to Cork Kent Road route which would be equivalent to a BML in terms of length, and I think the Scenery is beautiful around that area. I just think that Skyhook could really do a good job in terms of scenery and JT in terms of distance scenery.

Dublin to Cork is almost three times the lemght of the BML

I'm also sorry to have to burst the bubble, but I don't think Ireland is a country Dovetail or any third party developers are ready to invest in. I'm from Ireland as well, and I really do want to see an Irish route, for me I see potential there, but not just yet. Keep this thought for later as it would be handy, but what stands, stands, sorry

The best chance of Ireland being represented is if a competent third party came forward and partnered with DTG. Sadly you only have to look at TSC or older MSTS to see how little Irish (north or south) content is considered viable for payware.
