Imagine running through some freight yards on the 2nd level and passing some UP trains.

They definitely could be because DTG went to Washington D.C. for their reference trip, and Superliners are in Washington, so it’s definitely possible.

Not necessarily. They could release it unbranded for people outside of the US.

Maybe they could somehow add the Capitol Limited into the CSX Heavy Haul route. It would just need to stop at Rockwood for some reason, maybe just a red signal or something, since the Capitol Limited normally doesn't stop there IRL.

That super chief passenger train would be absolutely epic tho. U guys remember that into video with that big UP engine for railworks back a few years? Seems like we're almost to that quality

Capitol Limited from Washington, DC to Cumberland. You've already got some of it finished and ready to go...

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capitol_Limited

Might be a little boring with just two trains a day though. So you'll have to add MARC train commuters too.

And while you're at it, you could do the Red Line metro that runs parallel to it at various points.

That's *way* too long. I mean, that's hundreds of miles of track right there.

Problem is, Amtrak only serves a couple stops on all of these. I feel like we need more than that to justify including them. The frequency of- well, just about any Amtrak long-distance route- isn't great either.

I think the best option here might to just model the similar California cars in some Surfliner or Capitol Corridor route and call that a day.

But I still don't know why we need Superliners.

I'm on the California Zephyr tomorrow; it would be great to see detailed models of the entire consist. The CZ from Denver to San Francisco is all on Union Pacific tracks. Last I checked, DTG had licensing for at least TS20xx.

Speaking of, got to see Cheyenne and the Clear Creek this week. It's really cool to see a real-life area that I know well in a sim.

The Sunset Limited is almost entirely on UP tracks as well, running from LA to (soon) Mobile, Alabama. And the Coast Starlight is on UP lines as well.

BNSF has most/all of the track for the Empire Builder, the Southwest Chief, the Heartland Flyer, the Chicago-Denver portion of the California Zephyr, and the Texas Eagle.

If we're talking Super Liners, The I'd like to see the Queen Mary 2 in the bay on the NEC. For that matter any river taffic would bring the scene to life... :)

OK, so, New London CT to New Haven CT is approx. 43 miles, do any bilevels operate on this route, if not, then it looks as though another location will be on the cards.

No. Amtrak uses Amfleet coaches and Acela trainsets, and Shore Line East uses single level push-pull cars. The plan in the future is to use M8s (similar to the M7, but with a pantograph) on trains to Old Saybrook, one stop east of New London where most Shore Line East trains terminate.

"We" are the players of TSW. And asap so maybe Dovetail Games can redeem themselves for the embarrassment of the cab car.

Yeah, I'm a player of TSW and the cabcar was bad but why does that mean we need superliners? I mean... they're cool, I would buy a route with them, but it's definitely my top priority or anything that DTG has to make urgently. Good suggestion, but it doesn't feel "needed."

Maybe it's because... IVE NEVER BEEN ON ONE... and being up on 2nd level is cool. Hell I'd take this or a route with worth a **** rolling stock from AKRR (not known for freight but their awesome passenger services) Fairbanks to Anchorage. Basically I'd love a non commuter passenger line I can ride or operate while navigating through freight trains. Pulling into sidings and waiting or whatever. Real activity. Not just point A to B you have all greens. Gets kinda boring ya know.

I've got HH, GWE, NEC, WSR, RT, and all add-ons associated with each except WSR.... I'm kinda bored at this point. It's not so much the route and locos .. but the experience given - the route alone isn't enough.. we need activities with actual activity. Anyone agree? I know on a lot of our single lines (AKRR) passenger OR freight will have to wait a moment in a siding for another train. Give some interruptions or Something.

On another note, (off topic) the animated gangways are cool to see now that we can access the passenger cars with cabcars.... wish it was available when simply riding.

I hate to say this honestly but I think I'm about done buying DTG DLC specially after the cabcar/switcher.. Remember back to MSTS days? Remember the Zypher... amazing quality.. And so much more... maybe it's time to wait for the community offerings only... whenever the editor comes. I've been with TSW since the first announcement but this is turning into a sham.... empty freight cars with no weight, taking away physics on other trains, recycled content... idk anymore. If Matt reads this, I wish for you to watch your first preview video of TSW where you said its always been a dream to be able to walk around and operate the train and watch the pre release footage of your new sim - it gave so much excitement but now its just fading. And keep in mind, I've been around since the release of MSTS so I'm not new to this by any means.

Hell does anyone remember the murder on the orient express on MSTS? lol. Basic flash cards of into or story and things to do... so simple n basic but it gave immersion. How about the Zombie scenario for Haloween for Railworks with the Amtrak train? Simple and yet immersive... and most importantly... fun. Matt, can you maybe compile some ideas together on a list based on your past experience in this industry and present them during your next meeting? Theres a past here, with certain priorities and creative ideas that drove your last product and other products forward.. I feel like it's kinda lacking here on this next gen platform which is a bit of a waste don't you think? Our backdrops for terrain are quite... very bland when you know very well UE4 can handle cinematic backdrops for next to no performance hit and yet we're stuck with speed tree and basic terrain shapes with trees thrown on....... cmon. (which do not stick at their desired performance level and hog resources) Lets be real here, we have real world physics to use and the bugs in this game are just plain ridiculous. Even the couplers mesh collides with each.
