Hello everybody ! Today I present to you a new suggestion for Train Sim World 4 1. Where and what Brussel the capital of Belgium have a quite dense rail network for it's size. And out of it there are multiple stations, lines and services. Here's a map of the full network (Not everything is part of the "dlc") : The dotted and grey lines are the rail network owned by Infrabel (Our Network Rail) and operated by the SNCB. The full lines are metros and trams line in Brussels. My suggestion consist of 5 terminuses. Hal, Nivelles, Leuven, Vilvoorde and Jette. With a "main line" from Hal to Leuven via Brussels South and 9 branches. Included in the DLC are the AM 08 EMU and the HLE 18 engine (With his coaches). 2. The services included in the DLC There is : -The S1 from Nivelles to Vilvoorde via Brussels South, Congrès and other stations. -The S2 from Hal to Leuven via Brussels South, Schaerbeek and other stations. -The S3 from Brussels South to Jette via Brussels Central. -The S4 from Jette to Vilvoorde via Schuman, Mérode and Bordet. (Very intersting trip). -The S5 from Hal to Vilvoorde via Boondael, Schuman and Bordet. -The S6 from Hal to Schaerbeek via Brussels South. -The S7 from Hal to Vilvoorde via Mérode. -The S8 from Brussels South to Arcades via Brussels North and Schuman. -The S9 from Nivelles to Leuven via Schuman -The S10 from Jette to ... Jette via Brussels South -The S19 from Nivelles to Brussels Airport Zaventem via Schuman And multiple IC services. The most common are: -Hal to Brussels Airport -Brussels South to Leuven -Nivelles to Brussels There is a possibility of a ai/player layer with the ICE 3M (It have to be updated tho) Why ai/player ? Well it goes from Brussels to Leuven, but normally don't stop at Leuven. So it depends of the realism you want. Playable but not realistic or just AI but realistic. All those different services allow up to 2000 Services 3. The major stations Brussels South: Schuman: At level 0 there is the railway tracks and below the subway. How cool ! Leuven: 4. The signaling system and the rolling stock The signalling system in Belgium is quite simple ! Have a look : And now the rolling stock ! Here is the AM 08 EMU. A modern and fast train used in suburban services. German railfans may recognize it's shape ! It's almost the same train that you can found near the Rhine And the cab: And now the workhorse of the Belgian railway ! The HLE 18 ! A modern loco capable of travelling up to 200 km/h (125mph) and built around the Euro Sprinter familly of Siemens (She's a mix of the Taurus and the Vectron) And it usually push and pull consists of M6 double deck coaches. 5. Potential DLC's The AM 80 EMU : Like the AM 08 it's also used in suburban lines, this EMU is used on the less frequent and less crowded ones( Mainly the lines that are not part of the "Main line" from Hal to Leuven) The AM 96 EMU: Inspired by the Danish DS3, this EMU is derived of the I11 (International 11) coaches. And it's used on IC services like the Hal<-> Brussels Airport. It can go up to 160 km/h and is really really confortable. Thanks for reading !
huge yes for me! It can be such a good and busy dlc, also 2 variants of the AM08 (3Kv & 25Kv 50Hz)! would love to see this arrive
hell yes this one must become a reality! A Desiro with a fully functioning ETCS would be particularly interesting in a compact, busy railway network cab view video's from YouTube
Are there any TSC 3rd parties who made Belgian content? It may be worth to contact them and ask them to get involved into TSW. You know, sometimes that really works
We had SkTrains for Train Simulator classic, a fantastic developer with a lot of Belgian content, has also stopped creating content on TS classic. If anyone were it would be a miracle
The Complexity of the Bruxelles RER is that you need Dutch language signs in French this is called Flamand. It's the northern lines that need dutch signs on the stations. EMUS are called MS in dutch while French Manuals have them as AM. Have the S2 suggestion to Louvain Leuven in Dutch (Flamand) check on L36
it could be nice if DTG make a F140 MS-MS2 for TSW too the vectron could be run to on the route with Nightjet service and freight 186 same + benelux service but for me it could be better to make Essen (BE) - Brussels zuid (midi, south) in tsw and rolling stock AM08/MS08 / HLE 18 + M6 nmbs(sncb) and we pass one of the most beautiful station, antwerp central and a lot of services MS08 could be run on S,IC,L and P
