What possibility is there to place a signal bridge cleanly, where it belongs and at the right length? When I place one, the top doesn't line up with the metal post:
It’s a spline, so you have to extend it. (Look up a YouTube tutorial about splines in Unreal Editor). That said, when I’ve tried other signal bridge models, the first post is rotated 90 degrees to how it should be, so let me know if you figure that out.
I've now experimented a bit. It's actually quite simple once you figure it out. You can spawn the post and the signal bridge individually. Then you can place the post and the signal bridge on the track as you want. And then you can change the length: "Use the scale options". I changed it from 1 to 5. Now the signal bridge is long enough to extend over the track.
did you spawn them individually als meshes? Or are the individual objects still Blueprints? And if I understand correctly, you didn't use that one sort of corrupted blueprint, right? Thank you
Hello, I didn't even know my thread still existed. It's a bit old . I've now figured out the simplest solution (as it's probably intended). If you spawn and place the "Gantry" blueprint from the European folder, the object near the ground will have a thin white line with a box at the end. If you click on one of the boxes, the thin line expands, allowing you to rotate the upper part of the signal bridge (which is offset by 90° upon spawning). This also allows you to extend the bridge as desired. Everything remains one object and is connected.
