So I really think free roam was one of the best additions to the franchise. But you know what bugs me? You just plainly drive from A to B. How about a simple feature, where you can select intermediate stops along your route, which then influence your routing and are also displayed when you bring up the timetable with "T" or the next "mission goal" so to speak. That way you could spawn in your train and set up a route/basic timetable that you will then drive. A super simple feature in theory, but I think it'd make free roam so much better.
Not sure they're displayed in your "destinations" routing...but you can set routing destinations. I do it all the time. Or do you mean actual "stops"? I am talking about "via points" where you just pass through them.
Or how about with freight being able to spawn in empties to load and for loads be able to unload them. Like with the aggregate hoppers on Peninsula Corridor. The player could spawn loaded hoppers, bring them up to South San Francisco and unload them. Same thing on Cane Creek being able to load and unload the hoppers there
