The South Western Main Line (SWML) stretches from London Waterloo in the capital to Weymouth in the Southwest. I'm proposing that this busy line to be added to Train Sim World.

It's currently operated by South Western Railway, which took over the South West franchise from South West Trains in 2017. If the SWML were to be added in game, the best area to make it is from London Waterloo - Southampton Central, with the additional branch line to Guildford and Hampton Court. If this was made, there would be a total of 35 stations.

Even though it's operated by South Western Railway, I would recommend it to be operated by South West Trains instead. This is due to nostalgia and the fact that several trains are still waiting to be in the SWR livery.

    Rolling Stock
    Class 158
    Class 444
    Class 450
    Class 455

    Pros and Cons
    Pros
    - Allows a busy section of the SWML to be featured
    - London Waterloo, the busiest station in passenger numbers can be visited by players in the game
    - Clapham Junction will be a good spot for many players to watch trains
    - The route is very scenic, so there will be lots to look at for players both driving and riding as a passenger
    - Clapham Junction and Wimbledon could have AI trains, making the station look busy and well used
    - Desiro trains would be featured for the first time in the game
    - People who missed and loved South West Trains would be able to see it in TSW3
    - As I said earlier, people who like to trainspot in game will have lots of action at many stops

    Cons
    - For people who wanted Metro routes, there would be no Class 456, 458 or 707.
    - London Waterloo, Clapham Junction, Wimbledon and Woking would have lots of lag for low end players
    - There would be a lot of services, and could possibly cause even more lag for low end players
    - Yet another Southern UK service would be added, leaving out the Northern areas
    - Some people could be unhappy that Suburban services weren't added

That is why I think the SWML should be added to TSW.

Let me guess you do want a part of the train simulator classic Portsmouth direct line into the game by the way Class 444 does combine with Class 450

That would be great. I like the variation of fast and slower services on the SWR

I wouldn't say that it's a con that is a southern route by this point with almost 2 years since that last one

There is not enough enjoyable Southern content which offers variation

It is a great route and I think it would be similar to Southern. The SWR has a bustling mainline between Surbiton and Waterloo and a slightly less frequent service on the branchlines
