Just Trains likely to be something in their North West comfort zone, unless they throw a curved ball and do Met/Chilterns or a BR period West Of England route.

DTG - anyone's guess. More than likely their next UK route will be the TSW5 or summer bundle part of, so expect something modern, more than likely electric and utilising one or more recycled items from other recent releases as a layer and the wretched Class 66 on freight. Ergo, could be just about anywhere.

Always a snigger when me and the missus go out walking, along the Wansdyke near Pewsey. “Do you want to walk on top of the Ekyd, dear.”

I have three types of routes I would like to see in TSW

    1. Southern Slammers
    2. Industrial Freight routes similar to TVL
    3. Riviera Line during the 80's or 90's

i am simply basing on easter eggs from MML here. But maybe HS1? From St Pancrase to somewhere across the channel tunnel maybe along with E300/Class 373 Eurostar sets? Simply guessing here though for Just Trains at least.

I think a 90’s Aire Valley based around Knottingley (yes I do have the old SIAM traffic control game) would be superb. Class 56’s with 36 loaded MGR hoppers screaming through Sudforth Lane en route to Eggborough and Drax Power Stations. Sorry Greta, coal is king!

The English Riviera. Paignton/Plymouth-Exeter with hopefully the branch to Exmouth included. I don't care about the time period, I just wanna blast through Dawlish haha.

I would be ecstatic if it was a modern route with loco hauled services or if it had modern freight with other than another class 66.

For players like me, who wish desperately another uk route in the 90s. (Be careful what you wish...)

As a pure aside always had a fascination with the HK trams. However whenever I loaded the various DEM data into one of the train sim editors, horribly inaccurate and rather useless. Think the satellite imaging picked up on all the tall buildings and averaged it, created undulations where none exists in reality.

Hong Kong was a colony and not part of the United Kingdom. The colony was administered by the UK government on a lease agreement from China. The United Kingdom (UK) is made up of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Hong Kong is therefore not part of the UK.

I have my fingers crossed for a Welsh Line but I'll take anything from Just Trains because I know it'll be worth the money

I hope it would be a Welsh or East Anglia line which both regions have zero line in TSW, or maybe even a NI route ( although it's nearly impossible). Bringing a new region into TSW is not a bad thing

I would have loved to see the narrow gauge Welsh Highland Railway in the game, but steam is now off the table so little to no chance of that unfortunately.

I know I'm late to this thread but I would love for them to make another London Underground route, especially the Picadilly line. I recently started watching a person on YouTube who drives this route and films out the front while he's driving and narrates about what he is doing, so it would be cool to drive that route.

From the teaser image - my best guess for the new JT route would be WCML Over Shap: Preston - Carlisle, Morecambe/Heysham Port and Windermere, with a Class 86, 142, 47 and 08. New stock in the form of updated/backdated Mk3 coaches possibly among others.

It's long distance but few stations, which is why I think it's feasible, and helpfully reuses the excellent Preston from Blackpool Branches.

That would probably be one of my top 5 routes if so, Carlisle to preston is such an amazing run

Carlisle would be a lot of work though with all the yards and at that time the avoiding lines for Citadel were still in use. I suppose they could stop just north of the station but not including the Kingmoor complex would be a huge omission. Still think people may be getting their hopes up a bit too much expecting Preston to Carlisle. Far more likely to be Lancaster to Morecambe and Barrow.

It would appear that the Citadel avoiding lines were mostly closed in 1984 after a Freightliner derailment - if the route is set in the same period as Blackpool Branches (1987) then they may get away without some of those lines.

Bog Junction to Willowholme Junction Carlisle (cumbria-railways.co.uk)

Part of the reason I'm quite confident is that the last roadmap described the JT route as being 'highly requested' or words to that effect - Over Shap has most certainly been highly requested whereas Lancaster to Barrow? I don't think that would qualify from what I've seen. Still, could be wrong.

The avoiding line ceased to be used after 84, Kingmoor yard on the other hand would be an undertaking, certainly within the time period. Kingmoor TMD wouldn't be out of the question seeing as it's only a mile north of citadel (saying that it does mean modeling the castle if they do!!)

I think whatever JT do will be solid, it’s great they’re staying in the same era - everyone else has abandoned BR Blue & JT have proven once they are bringing quality to it.

Staying in the same area is an added bonus, it would be great if we continue from Preston, but regardless the pacer alone on more JT track is more than enough to look forward to.

Same, Dale Charmans YouTube channel is great and there’s plenty of reference there for developers if they decide to reproduce the Picc Line in TSW https://youtube.com/@dalecharmantravels8057?feature=shared

Luckily (I live in Alfreton) most of my local lines are for some reason unknown to myself, available. Every route I’ve ever gone to work, town, Derby County, Sunday-days-out to Matlock, are on there.

So Riviera ideally, anything but steam, or something North Welsh (unsure if narrow-gauge is possible, WHR and Ffestiniog for obvious reasons) or failing that, Crewe to Holyhead (as much as specs allow)

Another possibility, based on the only released screenshot so far, is Exeter to Plymouth. As for locomotive, I have a sneaking suspicion that we might be about to see either Valenta HSTs or Class 50s.

I keep seeing reference to Just Trains making a route in their "comfort zone" of the NW of England.

Blackpool Lines in TSW is literally the first route JT have ever made for TSC/TSW that could be described as being a North West route. Their Midlands Main Line extension in TSC via the Hope Valley is their only other DLC that goes over the West side of the Pennines.
Their traditional stomping ground is the original Western Region out of Paddington and Marylebone stations up to Birmingham and down to the South West. More recently, the East Midlands too.

That they did Blackpool was a bit of a surprise to someone who's bought their TSC releases over the years.

After more investigation, it could also be the Morecambe branch to Preston and this would probably have the Class 156 if set in the late 80’s. The screenshot could represent a spot just after leaving Morecambe.

S Stock would certainly be useful for Goblin and GWE as AI on the District Line and Hammersmith and City.

I forget their names now but two of the developers have made the freeware Northern Lines routes for TSC. Certainly one of them lives in the area and if I recall has some involvement with the Blackpool trams.

By comfort zone I meant their TSW route builder is from the area, a tram driver in Blackpool I do believe.

Could it be a route from Morecambe via Preston to Colne?
Total mileage seems almost feasible with a large number of stations en route.

I don't think that would be as popular as the Furness Line and would make more sense integrated into BPO.

As much as I'd love to see Merseyrail in-game (I travel on the network daily), only the parts around Liverpool Central are underground (5/6 stations), and all routes are simple "all stops" routes so offer little in the way of gameplay variety.

Yes quite enough of that already in TSW!

However maybe something like Wrexham to Bidston could offer something a little different.

By merseyrail underground I didn't just mean Central, James St, Moorfields, Lime St etc, I was also thinking the Wirral, Southport, Ormskirk and so on, I think there's enough variety there for an interesting route.

Three routes from JT on my wish-list are the following:

Cornish Mainline east Plymouth - St Austell incl. Looe and Fowey (era approx. 2017) New DLC: GWR Class 57, GWR HST, GWR Class 150,
    Layered DLC: DB Class 66

ECML Kings Cross, St Pancras and Moorgate to Peterborough (era approx. 2023) New DLC: LNER Class 91, GN Class 717
Layered DLC: LNER Class 801, TL Class 700, EWS Class 66

Eastleigh and Southampton to Portsmouth incl. Branches (era approx. 1984) New DLC: BR Class 421 CIG, BR Class 33, BR Class 50
    Layered DLC: BR Class 47

Would have mentioned something like WCML but we are practically guaranteed that now.
