    Hello,

I've successfully imported the LIDAR into the editor, but there is quite large offset in both lat and long coordinates, meaning the imported terrain is in wrong location. Does TSW Editor use UTM grid? (I guess so since you have to select the correct UTM Zone. Since if yes, it would be much much easier to have an option to import the LIDAR in UTM coordinates, instead of Mercator. How can I import the terrain with the highest precision, please? Is there an option to directly import the terrain in UTM projection?

Thank you very much for your help!

If I don't use the SRTM, it works.

How to create the landscape without SRTM? Without SRTM data, the “Create-Landscape(s)” option doesn’t even appear for me.

Just import the KML with the route and stations, use command for generating tiles like in this tutorial

and then apply the lidar after flat tiles were created. Worked for me.

What can you do about it if the tracks are placed too high?

Can you share the screenshot of the problem?

In this case the tracks are too low instead of too high.

Depends on what are you trying to accomplish there. You can use the Snap to World option when laying tracks.

Or you can snap the terrain to existing track.

Thank you very much for this valuable information! I would never have figured out that it was because of the little "Snap to World" checkbox. The tracks are now in the correct position. I thought I would have to build a subway. :)

Subway, haha :D. Glad that it's working for you. But don't forget to set the Loft Type back to Lidar when importing another terrain. Also, you can use Snap to World also when adjusting the height of track where the gradient changes.

I'll think about that. Thank you very much! :)
