PS5 (solved) East Coastway +more Reverting To Old Timetable When Starting On Foot/free Roam

I decided to dust off east coastway today and I thought I was going crazy at first but for some reason the Class 313 only appears if you start a service with it.
If you start on foot or in a 377 then there is no longer Ai 313s on the 313 specific timetable instead the 377 subs in all of the services

 

In theory that should be impossible, because the 313 timetable is specifically designed so that 377s cannot replace a 313 - not that it would be possible for them to do so anyway, as the trains are a different length.

 

Yeah that’s what is confusing me , it’s as if when you load in on foot or in a 377 it defaults back to the 2020 timetable despite choosing the 313 timetable.

 

It's a known bug on all routes not just this one

 

Ah fair enough that makes sense then , hadn’t tried with any others yet.

not surprised that an update may have caused a bug like that with how complex the timetable mode is

 

So do we have another substitution problem here? Ill check it later since i havent tried it.

 

Hell you are right, its not there anymore. I thought first you might took the wrong timetable but clrearly isnt spawning. Very disappointing from DTG....(if i still would be a day 1 supporter i would say its inacceptable, but i really dont care anymore)

 

I'm experiencing a similar issue with the old LIRR. Whenever I select a M3 to drive, all I see is the M3 as AI. Whenever I select the M7, all I see is the M7 as AI.

 

DTG Alex, sorry to Tag you on a sunday. But something is really wrong about the TSW4 core, services dont appeare and DTG keeps shoveling this topic below the carpet, which is somewhat dare. I noticed since day1 of TSW4 there is a major problem going on with substitution.

- Vectron still doesnt appear on semmering
- 1116 doesnt appear on vorarlberg
- and now 313 services entirely missing on the 313 timetable

Are you up to slam the entire sim into a wall or did you loose control over your code?

Looks like they botched a lot of things with the update..., just a big NoNo!

 

Is this only an issue when you spawn on foot. If you spawn a service everything is working as should ??

 

Nothing is like "as it should". I paid full price for the 313 and other loco addons and encounter DTGs "approach" of ignoring the mess with substitution and timetable problems.

I was up to buy the 380 and 158 scotrail at release, but thats not gonna happen now.

Saw fife circle and lirr 2.0 was on summer sale. Still gonna wait until it has an 80% discount.

(DTG knows since the release of tsw4 they botched the entire substitution. Damn exactly they know too only players with all the dlc will notice..especially loco dlcs are affected by this).

Hide the major problem with loco specific layers to make it look like everything is fine wont make it any better.

 

At this stage they may only fix the substitution for TSW5 to give players another reason to upgrade. Not good customer service if they do opt for that, but we’ll see.

 

I’m just having way too much fun with TSC to bother with TSW at the moment, even the new 218. Plus the distraction of a new playthrough of GTA SA and I’ve been recommended to try Sniper Elite. DTG going to have to pull a rabbit out the hat with whatever’s coming in September to get me interested again. (Sorry for off topic ruminations).

 

No, no, you can still access the 313 by spawning in as a service. It is only by spawning on foot do you get 377s only.

 

I only spawn my services on foot, never start them via menu. Totally inacceptable!

This was a walkaround a few years ago to prevent red light bugs.

A functional timetable is one of fhe very basic things i expect from tsw being done right. Same for the substitution system.

 

Oh right. That's fair enough. Unacceptable indeed.

 

The spawning of foot only loading the default timetable no matter what you selected was introduced in the summer core update, so please Dovetail fix this, it completely ruins user created and modded timetables. And even the ones that came with dlc-s. The only way to play them now is spawning in a service on the selected timetable. So the spawn on foot mode is now useless most of the times.

 

Yeah like you I start all my services on foot for the extra set up time and trainspotting etc.

Shame as this route keeps the 313 alive in virtual form.

Thats was just half the work

- Vectron still dont appear on the semmering route --> Where is the substitution activated?
- 1116 still dont appear on the vorarlberg route--> Where is the substitution activated?

Those were confirmed as Update fixes in the June patch...

Dont get me wrong, how is it that on the Salzrburg Rosenheim route all those substitutions are working as intended??

 

Yep I’ve had a look and it hasn’t been fixed for the 313 on EC either

 

I just checked the East Coastway and the Koln-Aachen New Journey's timetables (the only ones I have) and it has been fixed.

Yeah I’ve got all the updates downloaded , I’m guessing this is a console specific issue now and has probably been fixed on PC
