With the roadmap, there's been a reveal of a new loco add-on in the 4-6 month section. here's a few of my ideas on what it could possibly be:
EMT class 156 for MML (or maybe a reigonal railways 156 for BPO?
    Class 91 for ECML
    Class 222 for MML
Class 56 for tees valley/potential tod4 update alongside it?
    Class 68 for Fife circle
    What do you think?

Uk routes are all I care about. Not the biggest fan of olden day routes but will still give JT's blackpool route a go (mainly because the pacer was brought into modern day before scrapped)

The 222, 91, and 56 out of your list are probably the among the most highly requested trains so I’d imagine it’d be one of those.

    If it’s a 91 I’ll cry.

I'm hoping for either the LNER 91/DVT or ant kind of new freight loco (70, 56 or 60 preferably)
However, one thing I noticed was a HST in the background of one of the SR 158 teaser images.. just the GWR HST but surely it's some form of a hint, why else would it be there??

Could be prep for a Scotrail HST - getting it in the timetable to swap out when the new version is ready?

I believe scotrail used GWR ones while they were waiting to be retrofitted.
So could be a placeholder or a 'the shoe fits' situation

Whatever it is I bet it'll be part of the Deluxe Edition for TSW 5

Class 91 just has to happen. If DTG apply the same LAMPOIL system to loco DLCs, then it makes sense to represent this train in-game shortly before they retire in real life. Ticks all the boxes really.

If the rumours are correct it should be BR Standard Class 9F. Full steam ahead to Ireland!

What rumours have you heard? I've not heard a thing about any steam coming anytime soon for ages....
(I'm not doubting you, I'm not very good with keeping up with leaks and so on so I'm more than likely missing some info)

It’s probably a placeholder. Think one of the developers said on the Discord they just put stuff in as placeholders so they can orientate themselves.

As for the DLC: Please let it be absolutely anything, but another sodding EMU. For goodness sake don't give us anymore EMU 'loco' DLCs DTG. For the time being anyway.

Ah okay, either way it's pretty interesting! I mean.. with the ever-expanding ScotRail fleet in the game, it wouldn't fully surprise me if the SR HST was coming haha :)

We were all thinking it, and you just said it.
Here here!! (Please give us either the LNER 225 set, a Class 60, 56 or 70 preferably!) ;)

I thought this the instant I saw the picture on the stream...

Would make sense to have a ScotRail HST... From the way they were speaking I get the impression Edinburgh to Glasgow may be getting some well needed love and TLC over the next year.

Technically the “new UK loco” implies an actual locomotive and not a multiple unit, unless whoever wrote is not railway savvy.

Don't think it would be anything for MML, as Skyhook seem to own and curate the content there, so imagine they would want to develop a 222 and sell themselves as a future loco add-on.... class 91 would make so much sense as they can drop it into ECML; could also see them doing a new freight loco though as the class 66 has become a bit of a meme, so I think even DTG would be trying to get something else in place.

Interesting on the Scotrail HST and thoughts about some love for EDI-GLA... was thinking it was time to give the Scotrail content a rest, but would definitely appreciate any momentum that brings some TLC to the 385 specifically, and the 158 being billed specifically for EDI-GLA would bring renewed interest, so might justify the ROI to enhance the route

Not to mention in the past they have used “loco” to refer to what turned out to be a glorified reskin of something already in the game. So for light’s (sorry for Wheel Of Time reference!) not another Class 66 variant.

There have been several instances where they have referred to “loco” in the past and it turned out to be a multiple unit. The more accurate definition would be new traction or just call it a new train. What happens when you let marketing people with no real knowledge write the press releases and the actual knowledgeable people on staff don’t get to proof read or peer review.
