Well I just tried to have a run of the ICE1, one of the few trains I thought wasn’t suffering as much with this, only to find it’s got as bad of an issue with Z-Fighting as pretty much the same as the vectron (which is on the scale of the worst of it) I used to use this train a lot and I’m positive it was one of the few that wasn’t suffering greatly, now it’s pretty much all over the cab. (I think all monitors, symbols for the central controls, reverser handles, far left side radio controls)

Console discovered on: Xbox Series X
    Issue: Xbox Z-Fighting Unresolved Issue
    Train: ICE 1 401

Not sure if this is the most active thread on Z fighting, but the lasest Class 380 is also suffering from it. There appears to be no end in sight :(

yea, saw it yesterday on a stream around the monitor and below the CCTV (possibly other places)

Best I can do is wait an see if a core fix ever comes for it.

it’s certainly strange, I think their could be more to the issue than what’s been said, otherwise it’s a big question on what’s been done differently in development.

AtherianKing So I just did a little test. Downloaded and installed TSW 2020 onto my series X. Obviously this is not series s/x enhanced. I tired the class 43 and 377 both of which suffer from heavy z fighting on tsw 2/3/4.

There was no z fighting what so ever on the tsw 2020 version. This only strengthens my belief, that this all started when tsw 2 received the series s/x enhancement.

It can't be to do with the two textures being too close together (as mentioned on some streams) otherwise, why didn't it happen pre series enhancement?

Yea there’s a few things what don’t seem to match

As far as I remember it started with/after rush hour with TSW2, so going by that it shouldn’t affect TSW1.

I’ve always thought it’s probably a core UE4 issue, especially considering it’s also present on other games what use the same game engine on Xbox like Bus Sim 21.

I've not played that, so I'll take your good word :)

But yeah, I'm of the same thought as you. Didn't they do an UE engine upgrade, that broke a load of stiff, and they had to re-release all the dlc?

One good thing that came out of running 2020, good god, the game we have now is so much better (z fighting aside)

yea UE4.26 I believe is it’s name, funny enough it caused a horrible graphics issue with the ACS64 (possibly others) with the cab completely losing all details, once it was fixed is when the Z-fighting issues began noticeable.

I definitely agree, if it wasn’t for the z-fighting they’re would be tons to enjoy, I really wanna check out stuff with the DB193 if z-fighting ever gets fixed, haven’t been able to use it as it’s one of the worst cases, fantastic looking and sounding loco otherwise in my view :)
