Very impressed with the 380 and the new timetable included. The interactive computer also has some functionality which is really nice... I managed to get the 'wash' setting stuck and had to work out how to navigate out of it as it limited the 380 to 3mph! But altogether a really nice unit with a great deal of functionality. This is not a whinge, but more of a constructive criticism to 'patch' at a future date, but whilst letting the 380 stretch its legs on the Edinburgh to Glasgow route, and reaching 100mph, I noticed there is a slightly annoying and noticeable loop sound that sounds you're going over a junction that loops around every 5 seconds. Just needs to be edited out at some point if it is ever put onto the EG route. Won't be a problem running on Cathcart as it only appears as a high speed running sound. Anyway, thank you DT for the 380 and to Liam for the remaster, it's really come together nicely and hope you all see the positive reception!
Downloading now. Have to say, going back to Cathcart Circle with the remaster has been a lovely experience, and definitely up for a new loco purchase as a result.
I downloaded it, TSW Nathan! Brilliant EMU. New features and nice little details! Just a little disappointed with the DRA button and speedometer, which don't look so good to me. The cabin is like those of the Electrostars. Very clean. Too clean. Still an excellent train!
Most Desiros (pre 700 with its digital set up) have white speedometers (you can find them on 380s, 444s, 450s, 350s).
Just had a run up to Neilston in the 380. Impressed with the experience. The train is nicely modelled inside and out, even its looks are growing on me. It certainly moves smartly and brakes just as well. It sounds like the class 350's I hear around the Midlands which I assume is correct. The fact we have two quite different trains and therefore experiences on this route is a bonus. There is quite a difference to driving both units. It was always a favourite route now it is one of the best, especially with the new busy timetable.
Any layers for this? Not really interested in Cathcart any more, but might grab it if it’s layered on elsewhere.
2I23 09:14 Glasgow Central - Glasgow Central (Anti Clockwise) Peak time 6 Car Class 380 Spoiler Your train will be off the platform (utilising ASDO) on almost every station apart from Glasgow Central and Cathcart. Enjoy!
None as of yet, but I wouldn't rule out something in Skyhook's 158 timetables (even if just to add some AI life to EDN/FCC)
You highlight Branchton, Branchton is my "local" (kinda, not really) - so, Station twins by logic of nothing.
U doing well finding these screenshoting them so I know what ones to drive keep at it I know how much u be enjoying this add on
My only complaints are that the speedometer is impossible to read at night, and that the throttle is too sticky. Other than that it’s a great train, well worth the money
I have to say the 380 is really good. Most buttons in the cab do something, and the TMS display also has a good number of options. I don't know how the original 380 sounds but the virtual version feels good to me. Also nice to hear the "clak, clak" when moving over the rails. Visited Glasgow Central at 6:30am and found lots of 380s and 385s there, plus some 314s. The Azuma was there too. Can't imagine how it is going to look when Skyhook releases the 158.
For those asking, the Game Pass discount kicked in around 5pm so is available now. Seem to be quicker than they used to be which is nice.
I had this on ECML at PBO the other day. Never had it before on that route, then first time playing since the latest update it happened...
Well! A very worthwhile spend of £12.99! The route upgrade is excellent and the 380 and timetable are both outstanding! Well done to all involved, ESPECIALLY Joe and Liam and anyone else involved in the upgrade and timetable. Also a round of applause to the management for supporting this project and dlc. Commercially I hope it’s a hit, but importantly it shows that new life can be breathed into excellent older routes.
Looks like I’ll be getting this then, even though it’s another one handled emu with a letterbox view and a big wart on the nose!
A very accurate depiction of the 380 to be fair! It’s a lot of fun, and I’d say the timetable is worth it alone.
So spawning on foot bugged.so instead picked a service 2l25 1013hrs central to central to give up service and go for a look about.so platform 4 what train and livery is that?or is it a bug?class 385? But whats the livery?
Platform 10 I think. Can't remember the name of the scenario. Can't check rn sorry but it's the one where you tour the V.I.Ps. Right at the end of the scenario I noticed this.
I'm looking right now and E-G isn't mentioned anywhere i can see. US version fwiw. Edit: wait, yes it does, in the little history of the unit paragraph it says, "...including newly wired-up services such as the Edinburgh-Glasgow line." I think it's a stretch to say it's misleading, but maybe an unfortunate phrasing. They should probably reword it.
A new timetable needs to be done to add Skyhook's 158 to Edingburgh - Glasgow, so I wouldn't be surprised if they reach an agreement to add some 380s too.
That makes sense all round, mind you if it’s not added, and it most definitely should be because G-E is a busy line that needs more traffic, then an enterprising modder will do it for pc players.
Does anyone have a list of services that are booked as a x6 380? I only know one and thats 2I23 0914 Anti Clockwise but im 100% sure theres more than 1
Only one I've found so far is the one I've posted and a scenario. There is more though I'm yet to find it. Sorry mate.
Train Simulator Driver (I think it was him anyway) showcased it near the end of his stream. It's on the farthest west platform (15 I think???) where the stone wall ends and the bridge starts. On the platform you'll find a little blue bench. I'll send an SS when I can.
Dumb question, but if one bench can be interacted with, why can't they all? Does it mess with the NPC passengers?
Not sure sorry there's probably a reason why only one has been done could be cause of memory and coding
Look what goodies i found! its not a 6 car, but theres two early morning trains to Neilston that have a 1 headcode and go express to Muirend!
Just realised, any 6 car 314s are meant to be a x6 320 but we dont have those in tsw sadly would be neat in the far FAR future to have a fully stock complete cathcart circle!
Yes it would be nice to see class 320 and/or a 318 even if they replaced the class 314, we still have the old timetable. The only downside for me personally to this new timetable, is that is it is now unrealistic as being set in 2022/23 when the class 314's have been gone since 2019. I assumed the new timetable would be based on 2019. It is a fairly minor complaint though.
