So I will continue to express my displeasure here just a little more understandable. 1. I don't want to threaten anyone, I'm just angry. 2. I know that it is not easy for such a game an addon etc. To produce But what else is own DTG,s problem. Extremely many German addons are just garbage.... Be it the Dostos (control cars/waggons) Missing details Wrong sound No sound, etc. What we see here as pictures 1. DB BR642 (Desiro Classic) from the maintalbahn the vehicle owns TOD4 I often use it on the semmeringbahn which also has TOD4... I don't know exactly what that is but the desiro lacks the light... No matter whether final light (red light) or the normal exterior light (white) 2. Dosto waggons in many addons, these waggons were supposedly revised....but because there are still so many errors Too quiet interior sounds (control car) Missing details Interior I would like to remind everyone that a dlc costs almost $40, which is not little. 3.the traxx locots 1.despite many messages was not fixed at the 146.2 no matter whether the AFB SIFA PZB LZB or other things that have the problems with the previous screens. 2.the 185.2 from the addon s-Bahn Vorarlberg seems to be the only one that works halfway. based on the lzb If you as an entrepreneur have neither will nor desire, then you should just leave the LOVE. As a consumer, I am annoyed... And yes, there are a few products that work and are half good. The errors listed are not a final list.
I am aware of that. But if you compare us/uk content, these two countries are a little better off than now material from Germany.
My fellow Americans are just staring to wake up now so it shouldn’t be too long before this thread turns into Americans and Germans arguing over who’s tsw content is worse.
I agree with you that there are some issues with some DLC, but writing that “Extremely many German addons are just garbage” is way over the top. If this is how you see the game, just stop playing it because you will never be pleased with it.
I always thought German content was upheld to a decent standard, compared to American content which DTG show very little love for in this game. If you’re expecting perfection with TSW, than you will be sadly disappointed.
Extremely much does not mean everything. And no, I paid and invested money. And will not give up on demanding improvement.
I think it is on par with UK stuff & way ahead of US content. There’s bad but there’s also very good & then there’s stuff in-between. As a whole it’s on the same level as the majority of content.
There are some German routes that are good, particularly the older stuff, but like a lot of things in TSW it has been on a downward trend.
Can you read? No, the German content is not the only one with mistakes, but that's why I explicitly deal with German things, I just pay more attention to it. And now it was also about the fact that uk/us dlc are often better than the Germans.
I'll just take the rudeness as being lost in translation and not intentional response to a well intentioned question. My point is valid. You say "German routes" when it's just DTG in general. In fact, your whole complaint is very GENERAL to the point of being uselessly vague. Essentially you just said "They suck" How is that helpful or constructive? Not specific routes, specific trains, specific bugs, just blanket statements without any actionable suggestions. I've seen a lot of threads with SPECIFIC problems that were then fixed (some not, many are) I have yet to see a thread of "You suck DTG" where anything was fixed. Unless you don't WANT fixes, or don't expect them. In which case it's just personal frustration and a desire to complain for others to see it. Maybe there should be a "Ranting" thread where people who don't expect solutions to problems can just rant about things in anger to cool off. Then we would know that the person doesn't want answers or helpful suggestions, they just want to yell a lot with other people who like yelling.
Absolutely. Next goal is 200 pages. That thread suffers from a lack of negativity in recent times to be honest. It's become a boring irrelevant and off topic thread unfortunately.
It's the kitchen junk drawer, a place for all the flotsam and jetsam, random thoughts and nonsense that comes to mind. To that extent it serves a purpose. The thread long ago lost its original ranting theme. Actually, I think it's running out of steam, doubt if it'll reach 125 pages rather than 200. As far as this thread goes, I've always felt quite the opposite to the OP. I think German content has always been a cut above the UK and US in terms of quality though its continuous conveyor belt of red boxes on wheels has caused me to drastically reduce my German purchases in recent years. But for scenery, I think it has always been better, certainly in comparison with US content.
Every nation has good and bad routes, there is no bias against Germany whatsoever. TSG build some of the best stuff out there. I think the OP might be being a bit paranoid by perhaps not experiencing the problems on some UK and US routes. Tunnel vision maybe?
Please forgive the mistake. It's not supposed to come across that I want to insult you or someone else, That everything is rubbish I also completely mentioned above that this is not a perfect list that I have listed. There are also a lot of positive things in the game Here are some examples -DB BR143 -BR193 -DB BR425 -DB BR185.2 -DBB 204 -DB BR 218 routen -Salzburg, Rosenheim -S-Bahn Vorarlberg -S-Bahn Leipzig -Schnellfahrstrecke, München, Augsburg -Semmeringbahn -Ruhr Sieg Nord Core -Formation Designer -Freerom -new Rain
I don't want to have any negativity or hatred towards the developer. I just want to draw more and more attention to problems and put pressure on DTG so that they finally get all problems under control gradually. I have added a small list below that is also positive things that I am very happy about. You can't always only spread positively in life. You also have to address negative things, even if this is unfortunately more common at the moment.
Yes, that's why I also mentioned above that I explicitly only refer to German rolling stock because I deal with it more.
Have you tried listing your grievances and contacting DTG support? It may be that not enough German players have raised the things you mentioned, which are valid complaints and should get equal treatment.
Here are a few things from my personal side that I don't hate everything and am really extremely satisfied with many things I am also aware that you might think more here, that I completely hate the developer, which is not true, is true.
Yes, dtg has a list on my part that is not publicly accessible with a complete error list. I also understand that this takes time and resources are scarce.
Its a copy of the TSW3 Thanrandter Ramp Railpool 185.2, which have broken brake indicators (outside). So currently we have still the not fixed RP185.2 with broken brake indicators and an entire fleet of TSW4 185.2 clones with guess what: "broken brake indicators"... But cant say about the lzb, since im not sure its a standard configuration on the real 185s. Not sure whats going on in DTGs house, but i think i can say the sim took 3 steps forward overall, but 2 steps back on other ends / features. I guess vote with the wallet is the most effective way, and get the dlcs on sale. The 218 was the first full price day one purchais i made since a while and im enjoying it totally. Its just fun and free of annoyance.
I was just about to post to that effect. Rivet’s Swiss efforts are a bit flakey but with a few exceptions (such as the original Rapid Transit and the 648 on Maintalbahn), the German stuff generally above the average bar for TSW content. If the OP is so disillusioned with TSW there is always Zusi 3, if you want to pay nearly £60, graphics from 2008 and no save game. Don’t misunderstand, Zusi is great and an in depth sim but lacks some of what makes TSW (and even TSC) so enjoyable.
That's a good start. I'm glad you are being constructive. If you see threads on there about the same issues, don't be afraid to add your own two cents. They DO look at the forums and if they see enough noise about an issue often it will be looked at again. You know the expression "The squeaky wheel gets the grease" right? =-) I'd focus on a few specific issues though, not whole lists. Then when those are worked on, move on to new things. The list is even LONGER on non-German content so don't thing you're alone or that they just don't like Germany!
Unfortunately, I can't say anything about Zusi3 at the moment. Yes, many things are great, even the things you mentioned. Nevertheless, there are mistakes. and that is completely acceptable. Mistakes are normal.
Ummm, if mistakes are completely normal and acceptable, why have you started a thread to rant about how German railway content for the game is always shafted and unacceptable....... My mind is totally boggled......
Thank you for your understanding and for your openness. I don't mean anything bad, even if it comes across like that more often. However, this is due to the incorrect translation. The current list is not exactly short, let's put it this way. The saying seems familiar to me, but I don't have it in my head right now. And I also don't want to say that DTG hates Germany or its railway companies, but it's often ignorance apparently, which is completely understandable/As an example, if I told JD now that you should make a bus, he certainly doesn't have to, how and what he has to do (This is a rough example) Here are a few more examples with which I am satisfied DB BR 442 the Sound is great traxx 185/146 Sounds is good
To continue to draw attention to the mistakes I did the same with the 193 (Vectron) and it was solved. Mistakes. As I said, they are normal, but you also have to take care of the mistakes. It seems to be confusing. Maybe I expressed myself wrongly. I'm sorry. DTG is like a old car A small kick and it’s work
He's just a kid that hasn't touched grass in a long long time, the issues he's complaining about are literally either non-existent or extremely minor and he's just nitpicky. He thinks that all German routes are "Rubbish." For example how is a MISSING Fire Extinguisher automatically makes the Dostos bad, I mean yea the sounds are bad or non existent, but a missing extinguisher isn't the end of the world you know. And regarding the screens, what's the issue exactly with the screens? They are working just fine for me and plenty of other people. At this point this thread was just very nitpicky
I’ve used and formulated opinions as someone who plays the game without limits to a particular country and came back with the same result everytime, theirs no bias towards any. there sure is certain things like for example US freight access what simply is a difficult thing, but that’s not a bias. Apart from that I’ve found trains with real good work done and others what went rather downhill from the start, other bugs are often present unexpectedly across all routes or at random without bias towards country.
I'm generally pretty forgiving of minor details like paint, engine sounds or seats. I don't know most of the difference anyway since I've never seen most of the foreign trains in real life. The only really glaring issues are if they are game-breaking...that is they LITERALLY break the game (make it crash) or they make it literally unplayable (train won't move, doors won't open, missions won't complete, etc) Then again, having grown up in the days of Atari, Commodore and 8-bit, ALL of this is frankly AMAZING by comparison. Maybe it's low standards....maybe it's just not getting wrapped around the axle on little things. I can honestly say I'm not enough of an expert train DRIVER that I'd even notice the majority of the "glaring errors" that people are focusing on in general. No, it's not an excuse...but priorities are priorities with limited resources. So I can see both sides of the issue.
Yes the first driving games I encountered were Simudrive and the ones created by SIAM, who mainly focused on Traffic and Signalling simulations. Both were text based with no sound. For the US there was Trainmaster 3 with its little side scrolling train icon. What we have now is, well, beyond compare really, warts and all.
I have mentioned several times in this post that I am currently only focussing on DE content. As I mentioned, DE is not the only area where there are errors in the content. But this is what I notice most often at the moment, please read the other news again.
This is completely understandable, but people like me as an example, who are familiar with it, already pay a lot of attention to it.
If I may ask, what is your problem? As a customer, I have consumer rights and I enforce them. Just because I draw attention to mistakes. Doesn't that mean that I'm a small child, your behaviour indicates that you are the toddler. If you have a problem with different opinions and views, I ask you to ignore the posts.
I have read the other posts, and came to same confusion, how is noticing something which you obviously will if you play something more, a problem? you have stated in other posts Germany is worse than the others, yet you say you ain’t saying that... and this threads title is literally that subject (See below)
Yes, I'm sorry, I've only just seen that. I was a little confused earlier. Here is a summary I own a few uk/us dlc myself, but I haven't installed them for a long time. I haven't used them for a long time and, as I said, they have also been uninstalled for a while. But nevertheless, I noticed many positive points there that would now be desirable with some German dlcs. Be it details or performance South-eastern high-speed is a good example of good performance. And many us/uk vehicles and routes are sometimes a little more realistic (According to Google/Chat gpt) As our German products, I now say very roughly Details include sounds interior design This is presented a little better there than now at e.g. our dostos Maybe there are also things there that I have overlooked or that I generally have no idea about Please forgive me for the confusion.
I would even like to give you a list of which uk/us dlc I got, but somehow didn't use it anymore that you just see that I myself have dealt with it uk -Edinburgh Glasgow -Glasgow Cathcart -Goblin line - Brighton mainline -Preston to Blackpool -Glossop line -BR CLASS700 -Flying Scotsman -East Coast mainline -South eastern high-speed -isle of wight 2022 -Bakerloo and both train addons -West cornwell steam special -BR Class 37/5 us -mp15DC Switcher -North east corridor -Cajon pass -CSX Heavy haul -Metrolink Antelope valley line -Harlem line -Long Island rail Road (old version) -North East corridor Boston Providence Here is the complete list that you can organise it yourself, that I have tried to participate in this content myself
Just sounds like you’ve been playing just German content noticed a few bugs or the usual slight offs and decided US and U.K. content is all dandy theirs so many examples of US and U.K. content being advantageous and not so and so many examples of Germany being advantageous and not so.
No, not at all. As I said, I tried to learn how these vehicles work with Google and ChatGPT. Personally, I have also come across many mistakes, be it with Azuma or with class 387 (class388? There are also some mistakes, I don't deny that, but my main feature is on German content because I have more idea of the content I don't deny it, some dlcs, others don't work. I have simply summarised it here only roughly and to draw more attention to DTG, to also to put a little focus on the fact that they give added value to detail. And it doesn't matter if DE/uk/us
I guess this threads been a big communication error in that case then, as everything else is more similar to the other threads on the forum where members from one of the big 3 countries decide they’re country is the most neglected
Yes, no problem, mistakes happen and I admit that I'm often really LOVE in there to explain things. But I'm trying my best here to keep my eyes on the dlcs to keep putting everything better Compare
I was just in Germany a few months ago. I was getting deja vu riding the trains, hearing the sounds, standing on the platforms. So I don't think the German content is THAT bad. But we all have different standards and that's the beauty of life.
Thats really a problem even the features of safety systems is getting dropped by DTG with this one. To take immediately action in this shoddy and risky environement of a dangerous german Dosto: 1) Pause TSW by pressing the "esc key" (dont wait or search for excuses to play down this potential danger) 2) Equip your Dosto cab with Fire extinguishers now. 3) Put the sign good visible, this way your new "Anti danger Zone" wont get confused with strawberry juice and a drinking tube 4) in Case your dosto gets on fire dont be shy to do the right thing. Take your extinguisher from the new created anti danger zone 5) Dont wait for DTG, nobody will come and solve your problems.
