Wasn’t sure where to ask this question on which forum category, thought this one might make more sense. So yea my question is as titled, would the loss of the forum account mean you lose the game account ? Im not sure whether they are tied. Edit: If they are not tied could dtg_jan or another staff member who usually handles the account removal please go ahead and remove this account. Thanks in Advance.

Forum account has nothing to do with Dovetail Live account. You'll lose nothing. Account removal can be requested via a simple support ticket. Why are you leaving so suddenly?
As said, do it via support ticket and explicitely state that you only want your FORUM account deleted. That's how I did it back then, and I kept my DTL account for the game.
I’ll submit the support ticket, thanks for the info. thought on it for a little while now, even submitted a request the other week but backtracked, but I think the option is made up now. Basically with TSW 5 round the corner, I won’t have much to do with the game no more, TSW4 won’t be continued so any support ticket for it isn’t going anywhere, and I can’t contribute to feedback on content I won’t own, with holding back on purchases since December the gap/the same stuff has already become clear even without TSW5, most of my posts lately have just been on the only feedback I can get involved with, that being the business practices of the company, which the longer that goes on the more pointless it looks to continue with. so yea, exiting the back door full time seems the thing to do, I may return if theirs reason to in the future, that being getting back involved with TSW, but I don’t know if there ever will be.
You could just... not use the forums but still keep the account? Admittedly, I have had my old account removed to force myself to take a break from the forums... back then it had become an unhealthy obsession. Have become more relaxed now, not taking everything too seriously. It's only a game, entertainment it should be.
Seems a bit drastic to close the account. Just let it lie dormant, any threads you are subscribed to will die off eventually and if you don’t visit then you won’t get the red bubble with the number in at the top of the page. What if you wanted to play other DTG games like Catan, Fishing or TSC? Then at some point you might relent and buy TSW5, 6 or 7! I don’t play Elite Dangerous much these days, but I never cancelled my Frontier Dev forum account. And it’s far more toxic and salty over there than it ever gets here.
