    Hi,
I'm behind the curve on this one but just started looking at UEVR and TSW4 (having too much fun in VR flight sims previously).

I have a rather frustrating issue when using UEVR which I haven't seen mentioned so wondering what random setting I have wrong. The right eye is rendering random dark shaddows which seem unrelated to the image thats on screen, initially I thought it might be due to volumetrics being turned but it still occurs with that turned off. Anyone seen similar and found a solution? It kinda ruins the whole experience and makes it unusable for me. If I close my right eye, the left is rendering as expected with no visual issues and it would be great to get the clarity in both eyes. No other games I have with native VR exhibit any issues so it might just be an anomoly on UEVR?

This is on a Reverb G2 running on a 3080.

I just picked up a VR headset this week and suffered the same issue and was searching for an answer roo but didn’t find out. I played around a bunch and here’s what I found:

Not sure if you have got any mods installed but I managed to get it fixed after removing all the light shader mods I had installed + playing around with a bunch of settings in UEVR. I’m not sure exactly what fixed it but suspect it might have been one of the top sliders of the cvars menu in UEVR being set to zero. (The cvars menu only appears after ticked an advanced checkbox in top right of UEVR menu).

I hope some of that helps? I made some notes I can check when I’m at PC tomorrow on specific settings if not

Thats great, thank you, nice to know it can be fixed. I'll start doing some checks to see if I can work out the setting. Will update if I find the answer but if you beat me to it it would be really useful to know what settings its likely to be. :)

Here are the notes I made. Hope it works for you:

Within the UEVR UI that appears after you inject into TSW4:
    1) Click Restore to defatult
    2) Tick advanced options
    3) On Console/Cvars menu Set r.AmbientOcclusionLevels to zero
3b) On Console/Cvars menu Set r.HZBOcclusion to "ticked"
    4) On Unreal menu, set Ghosting Fix "ticked"

Not sure if these steps helped too but during my testing I also updated my GPU nvidia drivers. If you're using mods, I also removed the godmode ini settings by clearing the entries in the ini file

I am experiencing the same problem on Oculus 3. It really interferes with immersion. I have determined that this is a defect in the implementation of shadows in the cockpit. This is not observed on external cameras. I really hope that someday TSV will receive official support for VR and we will get a completely different experience without such artifacts.

uvm0902 i just got meta quest 3 and was fearing the same but after playing around with the settings described above I managed to get rid of the cockpit shadow issue. Not sure if it will help in your case but might be worth a try as I’ve got it working really nicely week and the immersion is amazing

A big request to you. Please explain in more detail how to configure the UEVR. Thank you!

Here's some screenshots of how I setup the UI settings. If you have any mods installed, you may also need to test removing those

Good luck and please let us know if it works for either of you so others can use it too if it works.

Hello! Thank you very much for answering my request. When I launch UEVR, the menu looks different.

How to open the settings menu?

It doesn't look like you've "injected" into the game on the above screenshot yet. The menu I am showing comes up after you have injected into the game. See if this helps:

    1) Before you start you need to have your VR headset turned on and connected to your computer using quest link.

    2) Then, when run UEVR, run it "as administrator" -> Right click on it's icon then select this in yellow in the screenshot at the bottom of this message.

    3) With it running in administrator mode, it won't have the grey bar saying "Restart as administrator" and you can select "train sim world....." under the grey line that says "inject". Then click "inject"

Once you have injected in game the other menu will come up where you can follow my instructions above (or you can click L3 + R3 ie. push thumbsticks down to open that menu)
