Just to mention, about an " incident" of a car hitting my train! But it was not the car driver fault! As you can see, the gates did not closed! Is a minor issue, but just to inform about it. Have a nice week-end!
It appears they know better for me. Bow before your superior form of transport. This is actually a freight service which has you perform a 20 minute wait in a position that has your train sitting across the crossing.
There has been an ongoing issue on many routes of road vehicles ignoring the lowered barriers at level crossings. A particular problem resuming a save game as, presumably, the car stoppers fail to initialise properly. You would have thought, like the passengers on the track on Goblin line, fixing this type of thing would be a priority if only to offset irate calls from sponsors/licensors complaining they don’t want images of trains in their livery crashing into vehicles (or slicing up people) on the track.
The oft-used expression "fire and forget" once again springs to mind. Although I often admire the work done by the devs and much enjoy TSW, there has always been a certain reluctance at DTG HQ to fix silly bugs like this once the content is released. Whether it be a lack of pride, passion, or simply budget, I find it is not at all commensurate with the prices charged. For 35 euros a pop for a route, I would expect a more long-term view to bug fixing and maintenance. Bring back the Preservation Crew, please!
Indeed, as I noted above. It’s all very well DTG wringing their hands and saying how hard it is to get licenses, but when they allow this to go on surprised more operators haven’t stepped back.
Train operators probably don't even know stuff like this happens. Otherwise I'd imagine it'd have been fixed by now.
I thought this Bug got fixed on newer routes, but still a lot of rail crossings in TSW are somehow broken or close too late
