    Hi all,

I would love to see these UK locos get expert loco treatment with ability to solve faults etc and scenarios which integrate such things.

    Class 801

    Class 387/377

    Class 142

    Class 395

These would cover blackpool branches, ecml, east coast way, BML and SEHS.

    Much appreciated,

    Sam

The only downside to “expert” locos, well two actually are…

    1. For those on console having to fiddle around with the sticks trying to hit all the click spots.

    2. It puts pressure on the save game feature as we know with the G6 you have issues resuming if you save while the train is in motion, as the controls essentially reset including direction. And in TSC I have the AP Class 40 which is a great complex loco, but to save and resume you have to stop the train, shut the loco down then go through the start up process again when you resume.

    Not exactly plug and play!

I would say it needs to be something not already in game. The Class 55 Deltic has already been mentioned in another thread, the famous Class 50 also a possibility. In either case for a £30 price tag it would need to come with some additional rolling stock, probably Mark Two air conditioned coaches (aka Coffins) and finally a catering vehicle.

The problem with doing anything “expert” for the UK, is that DTG’s current preoccupation with modern routes and one handled EMU’s, do not lend themselves readily to people handing over that sort of money. Who is going to pay £30 for a study level Electrostar when in actual fact, the current version pretty much simulates everything the driver can do anyway, without calling for a fitter.

It would be quite cool to see. I know there would be some unique situations present with UK locos
