    Very disappointing.

I don't understand their insistence on doing live-streams instead of pre-recorded. It just makes the product look worse and leads to postponements and cancellations more often than not. I don't really see any upsides tbh.

Can someone from DTG shed some light on the decision-making process here?

And this is slated to be released on 08-08-2024?
But I'm thinking the REAL BR 101 DRiver may have seen the thread here and others on the Forums and ran out, "saying Nope Ya Not Roping Me Into This, By By

£30 for a loco, or £30 for 23 boxes of Tesco 10 piece garlic bread slices

I'm willing to wait years for a sale if I have to. I'm not in any rush.

And 20% brings it down to right about what I expected. Since I only think it should be £5 cheaper. Not a major difference but enough for me to say I'll wait.

And this from someone who owns almost all the DLC and I don't usually wait for sales.

On the one hand delaying the preview stream because of a problem with the latest build suggests this is being rushed out the door before it's ready, but on the other hand the last thing they want is another Fife Circle situation where everybody noped out of buying it following the disastrous stream.

The mind boggles how they can be proposing to release the most expensive TSW loco add on ever next Thursday and the final build isn't even locked down to gold.

I've also tried translating Xander's screenshot from the German website via Google Glass and if I'm reading it correctly, DTG have basically said they don't want the driver (Maddy?) on the Stream?

Something is just not ringing right at all with this - are we seeing a huge internal struggle within DTG or between DTG and TSG? Not just the price but maybe DTG basically giving an ultimatum to publish the pack even if not quite ready?

Please tell me we are dealing with a professional company here!

Ah well, I'll be over in TSC driving my newly acquired Swiss content.

Google translate just says that the first poster would have thrown a strop by now and refused any further invites, thankfully it seems Maddy is more accepting of delays than Batman.

Batman: "Maddy has already been cancelled for the second time now, I would then no longer accept requests from DTG"

Klimi: "Will probably be there after all, even if not for the whole stream"

Are you actually saying there is no drama after all and we can all put our tinfoil hats away and go and watch Eastenders instead?!

Sometimes this forums feels like a conspiracy propogandist group, where imaginary conversations must be taking place!

No thats not the case... It seems like she will be available in the first half but its not 100% sure at the moment. Better wait for the final confirmation by DTG

It is always better to wait for the final confirmation, for anything. However on these forums, you get "facts" well before then!

I'd be pretty much sure most people moaning about the price will end up finding it too complex. If the article is stubbing many, let alone a train then god help them. :o:D:D

With gameplay that might change. Others have.

Let tsg show your their efforts.

    The circle continues..

The community point out concerns ( in this case the price ) then the community buy it, then DTG carries on. Prime recent example, Fife Circle garbage from Rivet Games. Someone at Rivet spent an hour slapping on some more terrain paint and fobbed us off with "more to come with the Levan Branch". This was after numerous threads on the forum pointing out how poor the route was compared with very well constructed routes like Blackpool Branches and London Overground. DTG shipped it anyway, Rivet ignore the forums thereafter. Next Roadmap stream multiple people ask for news on Fife improvements are greeted with "we have no news from Rivet".

Still waiting to see this amazing QA director that Matt used to bang on about ........

Oh god another person who didn't follow the discussion but gives his opinion...

    Okay I'll explain it again...
So it's NOT about quality here but purely about the trick that DTG uses to sell an Addon for a niche market with a very high price but probably way over the half of them won't use it. I'm afraid many will do that which gives the idea that this addon is doing well but that's just a lie. Expert is fine but there should be no coercion or cunning sales methods to force people.

I have opinions, did you watch me follow or not follow whatever your slant on the discussion is?? No is the answer, so depersonalise your responses because you are borderline bully in trying to steer the conversation in the way you wish.

Yes, and each time WE buy the _____ Fill in the blank, and it's borderline Fubared and images are posted, and videos are made explaining what is wrong. So we are the Beta/Q&A testers, no freebies, and don't want it, but tired of paying to be Q&A for DTG's, and so are so many more, it's not about complexity it's that the price is high and more is broken than fixed and so on and so on.

As a TSW3 player, I've not been as active here since TSW4 came out. I just wanted to see what's on the horizon for TSW and saw the article for the "new" BR 101. I've read it and saw the special functionality and features and while i read it, i guessed wich price will be come at the bottom on this Article. 19 Bucks? 24 Bucks? At the end of the article, I had to laugh out loud because of the price. The price is completely exaggerated.

If you consider that the same developer has released a complete route (Niddertalbahn) with a completely new rolling stock (BR628), new Signaling, plus a timetable and scenarios for the same price, I wonder what justifies this price here????

The discussion about "if you don't want it or it's too expensive, then you shouldn't buy it" is always bad for the developer and complete bulls***.

If only 40 people buy it for 35 bucks, income will be 1.400 Bucks. But if 120 people buy it for 17 bucks, because they think 35 is just too expensive, the income will be much more (2.040 in this example).

So I can't understand how some people can support such a pricing policy. Maybe TSG/DTG just want to try out how far people will go to buy DLC's for TSW and maybe in future Routes will always cost 49.99 and a Loco 29.99, if only enough people can be found. I can only hope that many players will remain sensible and not go along with these prices.

If the prices are always like this in the future, it will be the death knell for TSW.

This is like when a northerner sees the price of a pint in a London pub. The difference there though is that the beer is the same as the beer up north. It’s a bit different with this though, what with it being a premium product being sold at a premium price and not a standard product at a premium price like a London pint.

sigh, i almost used the meme again.

But no. DTG actively wants maddie on Stream, also she isnt just a random driver DTG found to hop on a stream with, shes one of the main developers, was the main person to get reference etc.
Lukas german message in xanders post above says, that she now probably can attent tomorrows(todays) stream as well, even if not for the whole duration.

    IMG_20240801_063203.jpg

No DTG person ever said or gave the feeling they dont want her on Stream (in your mind probably because DTG fears a real driver would finally tell them off for their bad Product) whereas in reality, the expert 101 was to a very big part made by a real 101 Driver.

I don‘t know if this DLC is comparable with the Train Simulator DLCs ICE 1 & ICE 4 (from 3DZug), which cost around 30-50€, how did you feel about those prices, since they also come with an expert edition of those trains?

As alr said, maybe i still attend the stream, even if its not the whole time. I'm on irl shift tonight and my planned break is after 20 for around an hour. Still depends hugely on if i'm on schedule. If i'm delayed an hour, which is not that rare in germany, i cant attend.

Ha ha, tell me about it! I'm already saving up my beer money for my weekend trip down there next month! Just a shame the Wetherspoons in Angel, North London is no more, price of a pint there was pretty much the same as up here.

I does not. Ebula is a core feature.
DTG didn't implement EbuLa, yet. So no EbuLa on the 101.

Thats for the MTD, not the EBuLa. EBuLa is something we have to wait for a Core Impl to make it dynamic. But if that is done, we'll add it to this loco even after release.

I tend to be the Glass is half-full type of person, not knowing the source of this message, I take what you have said at your word, here also DTG could have made a more :) better statement on this rather than being so vague.

This is definitely a day 1 purchase for me. Love the 101. If we could also get a expert 151 for some serious freight action, i would go through the roof :D Cheers

hello peterdian, and all of you
Unfortunately not on this DB BR 101[Expert] nor on any other locomotives or trains in TSW4 to date!!! And it is really a function that would be a huge "plus" in the immersion of the railway simulation, but this is in my humble opinion another question followed by another problem, although I recently saw on the forum [Train Sim World/General discussion on TSW] on this DTG forum some TSW "enthusiasts" launching into software applications (of good quality) that would behave in fact like a "simplified" ebula system giving you, pk, speeds, timetable, PZB mode according to the number and weight of wagons, whatever it is, excellent subject and very interesting for those who would be interested.
    source : https://www.trainsimcommunity.com/mods/c3-train-sim-world/c75-utilities/i4700-simple-ebu-la
    Kind regards, tof

So I am watching the YouTube live stream as I type this post.

    - NO suspension.
    - NO Ebula
