Bought the Stevens Pass Scenaro dlc 2 in the steam sale a month ago .gives you the BN F45 U25b and GP38 and scenarios went to play them yest and they no longer work it shows a missing assets screen then i have to click exit then i get booted back to menu ..kinda feel like i was ripped off cant play something i paid for and downloaded..
"gives you the BN F45 U25b and GP38" It does not supply (give) them, it merely requires them - if you read the description carefully (in bold). I have many a time suggested to DTG to configure these packs as complete my collection, unavailable individually. (One could argue about stock swapping and playing 6 out of 10 scenarios, but.) These are glorified workshop scenarios providing some XP, revenue for the creator, and using multiple packs, unlike default scenarios which usually restrict themselves to just the route stock and maybe one DLC. Most offensive with New York DLC.
Didnt see that when got it.. Just assumed you got engines too.maybe they should have the disclaimer at the top first off to see instead of hiding it near bottom
All the information regarding requirements is at the bottom of each store page. I guess they expect people to read the information before buying . . . . Caveat emptor
Sarcasm.com springs to mind, if only we all had your vast "I Was A Train Driver" knowledge. Please remember newbies, and even some of us more seasoned members, do not have the vast knowledge and experience of people like you. I personally have fell fowl of your sarcastic tones over time and find them extremely offensive. Please just take a step back and think before you type.
Nothing to do with having "vast knowledge and experience" - if I did I would not have to ask questions on this group. I would be interested to know how many of the "more seasoned members" don't bother looking at what is required before buying something.
Answer is easy. Once you get bitten the first time you tend to look . Maybe the real question is am I seasoned. Well being a haggis I can assure you I am spicy!
Have to side with the "always read the small print" people on this, but then again I am rather old fashioned.
Far from a seasoned member but a seasoned train (and other) simmer, and yes, check, double check and if you're spending money absolutely check again you have or are willing to get all requirements. All I can say is that I can guarantee the OP is now just a little more seasoned than he was a very short while ago.
I see you edited your post after my reply. But my comment was nothing to do with railways but life. I have no idea why you think because somebody worked on BR that it is relative to purchasing something on the net. If you are buying something would you not check what you are buying?
