Add-ons

hi, i cant seem to get Deltic Addon to work on TSW 4, ive downloaded the train and the route needed but nothing shows in menu, im using an xbox for it, hope you can help.

There is no Deltic for Train Sim World as of yet. Where did you buy the add-on from? I’m not sure what you’ve downloaded from the Xbox store but Deltic it most certainly ain’t.

 

add-on was through a gift pass thing, i can try get photos about it, thanks for the reply mate

There’s isn’t a Class 55 for TSW.

Could this possibly be a mistaken identity for the Class 52?

Maybe OP purchased it not realising they also need the West Somerset route to use it on services

That's a class 37 mate, similar appearance wise with the nose, but different locos in many, many ways! From your screenshot it looks as if you don't own south eastern Highspeed, which needs to be installed to use the 37 I believe, as it is extra content for that route.

 

Purchase the SEHS route (the description of the loco clearly says you need it) and you can use it.

 

So when DTG claimed locos from TSW3 onwards wouldn't be tied to owning a specific route, they then continued to release locos which require their underlying route in order to function...

 

My heart skipped a beat when I thought we might be getting a Deltic for TSW.

Back to your lives, citizens.

 

You can use free roam or scenario planner without the route or other timetables on other routes where appropriate

 

That's odd considering this is an entire thread where the OP can't do what you claim they can.

 

yes, ive downloaded the route required as it says, then the class 37 but no joy, sorry for saying Deltic and have upset anyone...lol

 

The ROG Class 37 'Deltic' DLC should be playable regardless of if you have Southeastern Highspeed installed. It should be playable on TSW4 as well.

Do I understand it correctly that you have Southeastern Highspeed installed?
I would recommend submitting a support ticket to Dovetail Games.

SEHS was a TSW2 route.

The only TSW2 loco DLC for this route was the Class 465/9 EMU, and they bundled that free as part of the SEHS extended route when it released in TSW3.

No, the thread is about someone who has bought the Class 37 RHTT which was released as a loco dlc for the SouthEastern Highspeed Extended route which was part of the base TSW3 package, as the OPs screenshots show the game won't load the Class 37 RHTT unless SouthEastern Highspeed is bought and installed, which shouldn't be the case for TSW3 loco packs.

I'm guessing you answered your own question.

 

So, the OP bought TSW3 content without even owning TSW3.

Because if he owned TSW3, he wouldn't have had any problems installing the Class 37/7 DLC as he would have Southeast Highspeed tied to his account.

This leaves a few possibilities:

1. He knowingly bought TSW3 DLC without owning the base game (his fault).

2. He didn't bother reading the XBOX store page notice which says "You must own the base game before being able to play this DLC" (also his own fault).

3. He knowingly ignored the store page warning, bought the Class 37/7 DLC anyway, and then complained about it not working (again his own fault).


The OP doesn't even know what the heck he is buying (he thinks a Class 37/7 is a Deltic) so how is this DTG's fault?

PS - Class 37/7 ROG is not the same as Class 66 RHTT

You don't seem to know what you are talking about about either. They are two different DLC packs.

 

He is not buying it for TSW3, he is buying it for TSW4. The image he posted shows a badge on the store page that says 'TSW Compatible Content'.

Further, he says he has actually installed the route.

DTG did say that loco DLC that was released after TSW3 would not need a base game route to be used in scenario planner or other things (which this DLC should follow). I suspect that this is a bug on DTG's part.

Greig, I have only just noticed that you are using the TSW in-game store. Try using the Xbox store instead - it is more reliable.

 

Reading this thread is giving me brain damage.... but let's see what happens.

We aren't sure, but it seems the OP was using the in-game store instead of their platform's store. Use the platform store - it is much more reliable than the in-game one.
