So far I'm impressed.

I don't mind the lime-green of Flixtrain, but this... feels a bit like a reskin...

 

What do we think they mean by "limited core features?"

 

Cool that the 390 is coming to the game. Good that they made both the 9 car and 11 car formations.

 

The most requested feature of the live map: a "You Are Here" feature...! xD

 

Guard mode looks cool

 

Fast travel look cool, easier to find collectable.

 

I am actually really sad that they still didn't add High entry version of Dostos. Especially when on Frankfurt-Fulda, almost half of the dosto Consist contains High-Entry dostos. Very dissapointing, but well, what can you do.

 

Very impressed so far. Nothing glaringly missing like there was last year, seems like a really good package.

 

Route hopping... Not quite as seamless as simply rolling from the MSB onto KWG, but it is something.

 

The routes so far are really disappointing (2 nee ones and 1 which was announced some time ago) and guess another Vectron as loco dlc, no extension to an existing route and still nothing around Berlin or northeastern Germany. ICE T is at least nice.

 

Hearing that they've reworked some of the tutorials made me sweat a bit. "If it works, don't fix it."

 

but we dont need to pay more if we want new route , doesnt it?
DTG wont delete TSW4 function on TSW5 right?

A Summary of what we can get when TSW5 is released

Hope we would get less bugs and those mods can work well on TSW5.

I’m happy with this. Three routes for £40. Not too bothered about the German one but still cheaper than 2 regular routes. I’ll probably get the deluxe version to get the Pendolino. 2 routes that I want and a loco for £60. That would usually be £80 purchased separately and I get the German route and Vectron Loco and Cajon Pass (which I haven’t got) as well.

The free upgrade is good as well, probably because there is not enough new to charge for it and at least it will allow you to buy future routes.

 

You'll come for the stations, but you'll stay for twisties~.

 

That 3rd ticket reminds me of an NS vending machine-issued, disposable OV-chipkaart... #pleasepleaseplease

 

My first thoughts...
Im super happy that the WCML is coming to Train Sim. Annoying that its another game and so we will be on TSW5. I had a feeling that the route was being made for the 350 route and is so only going to Milton Keynes. The 390 journey will be a little boring and quick in that case but im just super happy that its coming to the game. They know what they were doing putting it into the deluxe edition. It will earn them lots of money due to its popularity. On that, the deluxe edition being released 5 days early means there will probably be lots of bugs as many publishers do this method of early release and the game isnt ready. Its basically a beta test. Im not that interested in the American routes and so have no opinion on it. The german route looks ok and will have lots of traffic which is always good. I like some of the new features aswell especially the new map and the quick travel feature. The WCML alone is whats saved this for me as if it was anything else id probably hold back for a while. I do appreciate the starter pack though, thats moving in the right direction. The VR feature doesnt bother me either because I cannot play it. Oh and I always welcome new features so guard mode is positive, cant help but feel it will get boring though.

It's a shame we have to wait until 2 days to find out more about these routes

 

GWE new timetable sounds good, but please don't change the foliage, it's stll the most realistic/natural looking we have in TSW to date (seriously).
Hopefully the signalling will be upgraded.

Ooh Mannheim to K'lautern is a great choice! Wonder what will come with it. And the Valley lines too!

 

Very disappointed with the Deluxe Edition additions. In TSW4, there were 2 new locos and a remastered route (Narverkehr). This time, there's 1 new loco, a reskin and a copy-pasted route that most people have (Cajon Pass). As far as I'm concerned, that's about half of stuff for an increased price. I don't think it's worth the money this time around.

Hmm. I wonder if the Cardiff network will include the longest station name in the UK. Despite what many people think, it is Rhoose Cardiff International Airport - the one in Anglesey is officially named Llanfairpwll.

 

Finally, Wales routes is coming, we would get Cardiff city rail network. But I wonder which period it set? Would we get a Class 143? Or can we get this?

 

Have the prices for TSW5 been announced yet?
