I read in the FAQ that there will be a seperate editor for TSW5...Does it mean, that I will just have to copy my plugins into the plugin folder from the another editor and that everything works fine and with TSW5 standards (track shadow, new UI, etc.) or will there be a certain process that will be explained?
DTG Matt are we getting some info in the roadmap on thursday or around the 17th september? Appreciate it much!:)

Agreed, it’s important we are able to move projects over to the updated editor with as little upheaval as possible.

I'm here to lurk (as a "mod customer") because I hope things are easy for the modders to bring their work from TSW4 to TSW5

Still DTG's customised version of 4.26 (with elements of 4.27, the last release of UE4). UE5 is not an option.

    UE5?

Liam will quit his job at DTG. "Took me months to remaster routes for TODv4 - now again for UE5? No waaaay!!"

    :D

We must not forget that the remaster is a passion project. So Liam didn't get money for it. As with WSL, being a passion project, it was not limited by budget and only the willingness to spend spare time.

As for UE5: won't happen anytime soon. It would mean a complete new core and starting from scratch. Adopting a new engine is easier for one-and-done games but for these long-lived games it is difficult.
