I have downloaded the Hagen - Siegen v4 off Rail-sim.de and when I click on a tree a pop-up box appears that I have not seen before.
It has a slider that seems to affect the appearance of the tree/trees

Screenshot (416).png With the Slider above Edit Position fully right I get this

    Screenshot (417).png
The Slider part way across gives this

    Screenshot (418).png
With the slider fully left the trees disappear

As you approach the trees when driving they are not visible until you are about 500yds/mtr and then they pop in to view - and the graphic on the leafs changes as you approach

Is there something I can change to stop this happening?

This is the asset block that was introduced in ~2012. It overrides the LOD of the assets used, so the best thing is to not create large blocks so they are less noticeable when they pop into view.

This can happen with asset blocks. What cures it for me is to select to asset block, make sure you copy it and locate the origin of it, then delete the asset block and paste in the block again at the origin. (I'd make a backup in case of a screw up first).
Regarding the leaf issue, that a LOD thing, don't think you can change this without editing files.

Thanks for the info. Oystein & fakenham

I might see if I can delete some of the asset blocks then see what it looks like
Hagen - Siegen v3 runs with good frame rate as it has a number of 2D trees
