Same even if there's no freight I can't wait to drive the classic f40ph. I've seen one at the North Carolina Transportation Museum and it was in pretty rough shape.

Happy for new upgrade features...but a bit less for the new dlc. My doubt at launch? The only "iconic" station (the station in the picture) is Milbrae. San Jose and San Francisco (stations) have nothing of special, just common build and platforms. I hope to dont meet only F40PH (loco in the picture) passenger trains (like in LIRR?) in a semi-desert line. We will can see the Golden Gate? Nope, cause the famous bridge is on the north side of the bay and we reach San Francisco from the south (south-east). The San Francisco skyline is great the same, but we can admire it just before entering the station (the skyscrapers in front of us) but after played NEC for a year on console I'll wait before explain my happiness! My personal goal in TSW? To watch all the Dlc(s) with the same railway traffic and technical level of Main-Spessart Bahn where (with all the addons) we can meet also 5 different locomotives (143, 146, 155, 182, 185. with coupled locos I counted 8 locos at Ashaffenburg at the 10:30 of the morning) at the same time in the main stations (and many different lenght trains\services) similar to the real life.

Here a real CabRide from San Jose to San Francisco with the F40PH CalTrain

Yeah if they go only with one Caltrain from the photo it want a huge letdown

Hope it’s two different Train Numbers because there a lot of stations between San Francisco and San José but one route is only stop at the big stations like Millbrae

Will the new route be set in modern day? Has it said? Sorry if the engine being talked about dates the route, the US stuff is pretty new to me. Looks good though and I will be picking it up

So, nothing changes and only the game will show me which ones I have not done? In a new way only? Sad. A great game with unused potential. Add new content instead of calling old in a new way.

Aye, nice video lol - I made it :)

For anyone who may be wondering, that isn't a real cab ride per se, instead, it was shot from the vestibule window on the lower level of the cab car - with the engineer's cab located on the top level.

The route appears to be advertised as San Jose to San Francisco, which is 47 miles, with the top speed being 79mph.

Will the new "journeys" mode account for tutorials and scenarios that player profiles have already completed in the existing TSW routes that we own? It would be a shame to not get "credit" for all those hours and/or have to replay the same scenarios just to proceed along this new gameplay mode.

Also, here's hoping that the port of Peninsula Corridor to TSW is a harbinger of similar ports of other TS20xx routes. Would love to see the NJT routes (particular NJCL) and/or an extension of the NEC down to Trenton/Philadelphia once DTG works out the mechanics of longer routes in TSW.

There aren’t any mechanics for longer routes. It depends on development time.

You did not understand my statement most clearly - did you notice the word "instead"? Maybe I should have written: add MORE new content INSTEAD ... :)

It looks like the same sets of missions in the envelope of a filter called "Journeys". BR!

Well sort of. I remember them stating somewhere that route building for TSW takes much longer than they had planned and anticipated. Speculation: Hence the long wait for the editor, it seems like DTG don't have the tools they want and need themselves yet.

It’s strictly the time that it takes to build routes.

I should add, "Hence the long wait for the wait for the editor" is a theory of my own. Not entirely baseless but speculation nonetheless.

I would love to see the New Jersey Transit line from Pennsylvania station to Trenton New Jersey or the metro north Harlem line Grand Central Terminal to north white plains hopefully it’ll happen in the future.

Now don't the cal trans trains have driver cabs in the rear trailing cars?Because this type of unpowered driver cab is becoming a thing with DT lately. But i really do like them, they are a simple easy way to add extra driving options without having to build ever engine with power fuctions but i really hope that TC don't over do it and use as a way to limit new routes to one loco and then save additional locos as dlc.

    Nice vid 7orenz .
A - that horn is pseudo scary and amazing sounding, mad-max esque.

B - the platforms are packed

Hope we get both those in short order in the new route

They say that about everything. Given the varying quality of some of the sounds (not all, some are pretty good), I would bet that they don't use those recordings directly, but try to make a sound that sounds close to the recording...

Can Amtrak P42DC loco run along the San Jose-San Francisco line (In real life, I mean)?
    1) Cause I love This loco. 2) Cause they can use it, also like add-on,
in new Peninsula Corrodor and in LIRR (and NEC) line too, so we'll have a decent trains traffic in 3 different US routes Dlc.
    Sounds good?

The P42 can run on a little bit on the Peninsula Corridor from San Jose to the junction in Santa Clara where the mainline diverges into tracks bound for San Francisco (Caltrain and UP) and tracks to Oakland (Amtrak, ACE, and UP).

LIRR don't use P42DC. The closest they have is a DE30AC. And they can't be on NEC because they can't be used in the tunnels of New York Penn because of the diesel emissions.

    Caltrain also have F40PH-2 variant.
    • F40PH-2 > HEP generator powered by main engine.
    • F40PH-2C > Cummins-powered HEP generator
    • F40PH-2CAT > Caterpillar-powered HEP generator
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caltrain#Rolling_stock

What kind of safety system is used by Caltrain?

It appears your definition of "iconic" only includes modern/flashy. I suspect others might say the likes of Burlingame (and other Peninsula stations) also qualify as iconic for different reasons. Burlingame, built in 1894 in Spanish Colonial Revival style, is designated a California Historical Landmark and is also listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

Connecticut shoreline east uses the p42DC also so it would definitely be awesome to see someday New haven Connecticut to new London Connecticut.
