(And I suppose for XBox players as well) This might sound stupid but it's 8am and I've not had my caffeine intake yet So with the announcement that you will be able to transfer your data over day one from TSW4 to TSW5, along with all of your saved routes as well, does that mean that you can delete TSW4 off of your systems because on console the hard copy of the game and the game save data are two different entities? Latte please with vanilla syrup. Once tsw 5 installed unless you have desperate need to play tsw4 then as I understand it yes. It’s what I did going from tsw 3 to tsw 4. Good thing I bought 2tb ssd for my ps5 recently can move tsw4 to that while getting tsw 5 up and running on main ps5 drive.
All of your saved data is tied into your Dovetail Live Login. When you start TSW5 it will ask you to login to your account and if you want to import your data or start a new profile. - Wrong & misleading Information - DTG Chris Exactly how it was down with TSW3 and 4. All your DLC purchases are tied to your PSN account. You can still play TSW4 while TSW5 is downloading.
Yes and no to help muddy the waters for you. Yes you can delete TSW4 off your console once you open TSW5 and it asks do you want to tranfer your progress like it did from TSW3 to TSW4 unless that has changed? Now, the confusing bit, no in deletion because going by how TSW4 launched you might want to keep a working copy of TSW till you are happy TSW5 is okay and stable to use. I would give it a few days after launch to let the dust settle, but thats just me, your choice. Keep an eye on these forums and players will be letting everyone else know the story, any issues they encounter and DTG might also comment on issues raised.
