What Are You Most Looking Forward To In Tsw5?

Kinzigtalbahn! Shadowfix, WCML over Shap, ATS Route, unknown TSG route.... the Dutch and Welsh stuff also looks interesting.

 

To be clear I do get why it’s pulling more votes, I agree with all your points. The interesting part of it is wondering why DTG used it as their headliner for TSW5. I do wonder if it was held back, ie should have been a TSW4 release, but DTG had nothing to put in TSW5’s release bundle.

Matt’s brought up a couple of times not to write off San Bernardino, but I’d hardly expect him to say yeah it’s boring. The only use I see me getting out of it is literally opening the F125 up abit more than you can with AVL. I did really enjoy the Caltrain MP36 too, prior to that route getting shafted. Still though, the new MBTA DLC is just going to a fuller experience.

 

Will the new "fast travel" and "improved map" functions also apply to existing routes or only from TSW5?

 

To be honest, none of the newly announced routes really peak my interest. I may get the WCML since it will have the full Lioness line. It's nice that we are finally getting a new track map. Also it's nice I don't have to pay for the core update.

 

All routes.

 

- Definitely improved track shadows at first (till now I try to avoid sunny weather conditions, because I'm really annoyed by shadows building up like just 50 meters in front of you)
- Second is the digital screen accessibility, hoping I don't have to fiddle around with the controller so much just to hit one tiny button while the train is moving
- last but not least the Kinzigtalbahn, which has interesting track layout and a good variety in services
