I know people have been requesting multiplayer online for quite a long time but why not start really small where you and a friend can play together in a true friendship experience and share your passion and enjoy train sim world 5. I have been thinking since Train Simulator World 5 has that new conductor mode, what if and hear me out, you and a friend can play together on the same train where one drives the train to the destination while the other checks tickets as a conductor for a true railway experience. I would like to invite the community to share their thoughts down in the comments below
Up voted. Would like this feature. The two kinda go hand in hand. Hopefully they'll have it implemented for the next game I doubt they'll have it for this one for marketing reasons.
Co-op Would not be bad, but that brings it back to having to rework/rebuild all the routes, whether it can be done with only New routes, which would also require rebuilding the game as a whole I do believe, because of the way it's been built. Now they can build a whole new MP/Co-op add-on but that would also bring the cost up and it would be two separate options to select at game boot-up. And they did say in a recent live stream there are NO plans on MP, and Coo-op does fall into that category.
Good points you make there and I do agree that it would be a future project and thank you for the upvote.
Yeah I do agree its not in the interest or priority of DTG as of currently to have a multiplayer because they will have their teams on standby to fix bugs and such. when the game releases, its one of the reasons why I suggested something very small in the form of a 2 player experience that could kick start things, if they look back on this post in the future and this would mean the price of the game would elevate slightly to keep up with running costs etc, a small 2 player experience could create new opportunities in the future of Dovetail Games.
+1 Time will tell. Honestly, I'm surprised it was not even remotely talked about in the live stream, Maybe they will or at least contemplate it, many games give the option to choose MP/Co-op or Single-player, or it could be concern about player conflicts they think about, I have heard many on Simrail, or hosting it all, much can be worked out if the will is there.
indeed considering how quiet they are about multiplayer or coop it almost feels like they have something in the works already but for future Train sim world game development.
For freight trains, one player could drive the train and the other could handle conductor or brakeman duties (throwing turnouts, uncoupling, hooking up air hoses, etc.).
Good idea but, I'm not sure if it's gonna happen as dovetail did mention on one of there previous live streams they're not planning to do multiplayer.
That's why I hope they might just change their minds if this forum suggestion gets enough support behind it from the Train Sim World Community.
You haven't been on the forums long have you? Ot would take like 30 pages at least for DTG to glance at this thread.
Actually no it shouldn't because if we are asking for just a feature to add co op too conductor mode that only changes the fact there is no AI simulated Driver. The routes should all stay the same.
I think co-op will be a great addition to tsw. You can play together and enjoy moments either driving the train or being the conductor.. Love the suggestion!
Haha funny enough I'm not called bob. I let my step brother pick my username and he said bob. My actual name is Riley!
