I get that the route is being set in 2017, before the electrification through Reading - but in my mind that's not an excuse to not include the fully bi-modal IETS. From what I can find, test runs started about halfway through the year (and I assume it was even earlier given the first set entered service in mid-October), so it seems like a good opportunity to add some of those into the timetable for some extra variety - of course dropping the pantograph on the move where the OHLE ends as they must have done while on test. Don't even get me started on free roam - I cannot wait for the day I can take an IET out of Manchester Victoria without having to crawl up Miles Platting at 20mph. Oh, and while we're on the subject of IETs, can we have some audible door sounds please?
From what I've seen (and I may be wrong) the wires only reached Reading in 2018 but previous points still stand
nope - Class 800 IEP late/Carry on up the North Pole? Reading 18/10/17 (youtube.com) on the 18th of october 2017
As someone who is working on an Electric Timetable on GWE, I can confirm that the "fake" OHLE works, even in timetable mode up until Hayes and Harlington.
DTG Liam out of curiosity, is all of the work now complete and finalised or is there more work continuing at this time?
I must say GWE was way down on my wish list for possible upgrades. However, after this announcement I’m super excited. Can’t wait
Liam has done a fantastic job based on the available screenshots at this time. I can't wait for more teaser screenshots as the changes seen so far are incredible to say the least.
This quiet period prior to TSW5 release is agonising. No new teasers, probably until October roadmap. I can't wait to see more of Liam's awesome work.
DTG Liam I was just wondering if, owing to the fact that the Mildmay Line route is due for release presumably before this remaster, will we be able to have Mildmay Class 378s crossing the line at either end of Old Oak Common depot as per reality for Clapham Junction and Richmond services? I am guessing that this is not the case for now as I presume that you are still exceptionally busy but thought I'd ask in any case.
