Reinstalling your entire DLC collection for TSW5 should be a Platinum trophy. It's going to take longer than anything else in-game.
I’m fortunate enough to be on Virgin Media’s Gig1 package for our broadband. Still don’t relish the thought of downloading all the DLC again, especially when the PS5 wants and tries to download the DLC for every version of the game that ever was.
Yeah, PlayStation needs to feature the Smart Delivery system for DLC content that the Xbox eco system has.
Yeah, this is a nightmare. When you try to add one of the original routes and then have to cancel the download as it tries to reinstall for TSW, TSW2, TSW3, TSW4... Another PITA element for console users that Dovetail probably don't even consider.
Yeah, I remember last year it was downloading random DLCs for games I no longer had installed, after a few of these I set the PS5 downloading a single huge game to keep the bandwith busy, then claimed all my TSW stuff before cancelling every single download and starting with a fresh install where I could choose to download all DLC for TSW4 - although that won't quite work this year as the select all option caps out at 100 DLCs!
It's straight to gamepass so maybe something similar to the following in order to give the casuals the usual easy100% completion: Drive any train for the first time: 50g Drive any train 10 miles: 100g Drive any train 50 miles: 100g Drive any train 100 miles 100g Complete any service: 50g Complete any scenario: 100g Create a custom route: 100g Create a custom livery: 100g Drive a custom livery on a custom route: 100g Complete all achievements: 200g I don't think we're ever going to return to the good old days of 10,000 mile slogs or driving the 166 for 1660 miles...and the bad old days of the brutally hardcore (if you did it without cheating...as I did) complete all services on Rapid Transit
I'm glad they ditched the "all services", it was on both Rapid Transit and West Somerset Railway and if you bought the loco pack DLCs it moved the goal posts and made you complete all those too!
I certainly hope not. I would like them to challenge us this year on the base game achievements. Maybe a return to form with the TSW2 (10,000 miles) trophy.
