It’s not for me. Not a big fan of rail tours in TSW and I don’t feel the need for another 47.

However, it does look very nicely done, especially the name plate and plaque. so I’m looking forward to seeing what comes up in the future.

You guys look like very promising developers. I'm excited for your entry into TSW. The detail on that 47 is phenomenal...

Is there a time frame you can give us for any upcoming content?

I’m surprised nobody has mentioned the seemingly obvious thing with this add-on…..

I must say though that I really like the idea of this add-on but personally think the choice of loco is extremely poor. Bearing in mind it’s fundamentally designed to be used with the ECML route which is based/set post 2017 why choose to include and re-model a loco that was withdrawn from service in 1995???? And even in preservation has never actually been restored.

Surely something more realistic would have been a better choice?

As others have said a mk1 catering vehicle is a much more required addition to TSW than a GW150 loco from 1985 and would have been a bigger selling point IMHO.

It can be the best of the model and everything. I'm actually as fed up as seeing another class 66. Bring in new locomotives which we've never seen in TSW. This will only be a sale purchase as we have seen class 47 before and wouldn't immediately want another just because it has a sparky new livery. The Centro Class 323 from Sim track doesn't excite me at all as much as their new DE Loco from roadmap or 104 for peak forest.

Is it just scenarios or is there timetable services as well?

Catering coaching stock is something that keeps coming up but still has very little implementation so far in TSW. We have the buffet Mk3s for GWE and MML in the HST sets but even they lack any modelling of the counter.

I think this is a bit of a weird and very anachronistic pack - a loco withdrawn in 1995, using coaching stock from the 1970s (given the included Mk1s are vacuum braked only), on a 2020s route—everything lacking a bit of context.

It would be helpful to understand if any timetable services are planned or whether this will exclusively live in scenarios and free roam.

It would fit in on an 80s or 90s GWR route.

Would of been better had it been placed on the forthcoming GWE remaster instead (with it being named IKB afterall) as a seasonal railtour in timetable mode with the MK1 stock being Dual/Air Braked with the inclusion of a Buffet Car of course!

It'll also be packaged with the Preston - Carlisle route.

I like the 47 but I, too, am very interested in buying it again.

It's their very first project so they want to take things slow. Plus, they have tons of other brand new content coming such as their first loco dlc, first route and much more.

Looks good, and I'm glad you're discussing adding a Mark 1 buffet carriage as well.

Also really glad to have Blue/grey mark1s added. I'll be purchasing.

Also, will the DSD be working, I'm still annoyed that DTG removed it from the Blackpool Branches 47s.

At the same time though, new 3rd party dev for TSW, actively promoting details of upcoming DLC on the forum and answering questions......it would be good if everyone could give them a bloody chance before the negativity starts.

Not another 47 and if it ever materialises isn't exactly encouraging participation within the community going forward.

For me it looks great and the details and info come across very well, as in the developer is putting in quite a bit of effort. Look forward to seeing it progress, a buffet car (hopefully) and it launching in the near future.

    Just scenario, no timetable

As already said, there's a "once burned twice shy" mood around Athena, I know they're new, but some of the team are not and there was some significant drama.

Understandable, but they could've picked another locomotive to 'take things slow'. Even if it'd be one we already have, but not one we already have like 4 or 5 versions of...

Sadly the forum is often like this. I sometimes think some feel that any positivity needs to be nipped in the bud.

This pack looks good if a little unusual for the period. They have done a great job on 47484 and we need some blue and grey mark 1's. They will be useful for the BR routes. There is every chance 47484 could have turned up at Blackpool North on a summer Saturday in 1986.

I think a 3rd party developer should be happy with feedback. It's useful for them to know why people may not be buying their product.

Feedback, not pre release hand wringing! The content isn't even out yet and people are jumping in with the negativity.
If you have nothing decent to say about the topic, i.e East Coast Mainline Railtours.....then don't bother posting.

For my part, the model looks fantastic and im looking forward to seeing the DLC released and to the future of TSW.

Well I don't consider personal comments about one of the team and sarcastic comments like "if it ever materialises" feedback, certainly not of the constructive kind.

The class 47 was the most numerous class of mainline BR diesel and is a regular sight on railtours, so it is an obvious choice for this kind of pack.

I have never said they can do no wrong. I have complained about the timetable on WCML, I started a thread about it. I have been very critical about their stance regarding steam content. Generally I will say though I enjoy the content and get pleasure from it. I fully understand that there are many who don't.

This is about a new developer so I feel they should be given some breathing space.

There has been a lot of unpleasantness in the last year with some, including myself being attacked for daring to spend their money on new content.

  27. These are great screenshots but I wonder if the yellow cabs could do with a slight move towards orange? Im comparing them to the real life example in the provided photo and it looks very slightly off. Thoughts?

The only time I see any mention of you being attacked is when you bring it up. We see the odd member come along, take something too far & subsequently disappear.

If you’re going to comment on a thread & point out negativity, knock in a dig about how people don’t like positivity, then what sort of response do you think you’re really encouraging?

With regards to this pack, I don’t think anything is wrong with someone questioning the reality of it, or the trustworthiness of its creator.

The "taking things slow" idea would make sense if this wasn't a (implied) from-scratch Loco DLC, but instead a reskinned 47 gameplay pack.

Just noticed the ETH box is finally in the right place! Brilliant! That’s the one thing that looks wrong on the early 47/4s in Blackpool Branches … was driving 47 410 the other day and every time I went to the external camera it just bugged me (ok, only very slightly, but still). Big thumbs up for this new model!

Could we see this ECML legends pack be turned into a volume of other packs? Maybe a deltic? a 91? That would sell well

Given it’s called a pack, it would be really cool if Mike-ATH included the special liveries and nameplates (if they did a 91)

Egg on face time... it seems the first 20 47/4's actually did have the ETH box on the buffer beam like in the sim. The rest of the first batch, bar a couple of rebuilds like 460, had it where 484 is.

    I'll get me coat :D

What makes you think they could do that? So far, they haven't released anything, and the 47 is just a minor rework of an existing model, so I wouldn't set my expectations too high here.

We're working with many of the folks who built the 158 and they are super talented - I believe they'd do a great job with something like the 91. That is something we'd love to do but we have a few other products to deliver first and, as with everything, we want to make sure we can do a great job of something before we start. It's just a shame there are only so many hours in a day!

Would You make a poll with some Trains and Locos that the Community Can Chose between This Options?
It would be a Win Win Situation for Both Sites to make high Requested Trains that the Community is waiting for.
