Use Fast Travel to grab Collectibles The new Fast Travel feature is perfect for those that quickly want to see what’s going on elsewhere with the route they are playing. This might be useful for when you’ve ended a service and want to start from the other end of the route again, or perhaps run a different kind of service from elsewhere, without returning to the main menu. But! We know people like to speedrun grabbing those collectibles, including the adorable delivery bots from WCML shown above. With plenty scattered about all three core routes, Fast Travel is an open door for quickly mopping them up. Using Fast Travel also introduces you to the new-look Live Map! This now shows a handy legend, signal aspect direction and useful live information on trains travelling round the route. Exploring, pathing and observing the rails around you is now much easier and more interesting, with more detail than ever before. 5: Submit your Photos with #TSWRailShots Screenshot taken by Beta Tester Federico Di Liberto Photo Mode has had an upgrade! You can now pause the action, change the weather, time of day and get creative with camera options and settings to create true masterpieces showing trains at their best. From 17th September (1800 BST) to 24th September, we’ll be looking for the best Photo submissions across Social Media and our Forums. That means you’ve got 5 whole days to hone your skills! If you really want to stretch your creative legs, Livery Designer, Scenario Planner and Formation Designer are all available for you to chop and change your trains and run them in a variety of ways, colours and formations – your way! From wacky space-age liveries, to ‘alternate reality’ timetables and formations that aren’t available in timetable mode. But the DB BR 193 Vectron is also included for freight services, meaning both red and green variants, with slightly different cab layouts, can be run along the same route. 8: Refamiliarise yourself with Free Roam Free Roam was the most significant new feature in Train Sim World 4 and still offers a fresh, flexible way to play in Train Sim World 5! In timetable mode, spawn in trains and set paths wherever you like, mixing in amongst the traffic and operating services not covered in the base timetable. Head into a siding, run round in a platform, head out of the map or insert a service of your choice. Be prepared though! You might come across unexpected signal aspects, unusual pathing options and trains blocking your way if you haven’t quite pathed your trains correctly. If you’re stuck, no worries! Just delete the train in front of you and continue on your way. 9: Relax. Railfan. Ride the rails. If you’re after a slower pace of play, take to the routes on foot and explore the environment at leisure! Find those collectibles, jump on a train or railfan at your favourite spot and watch the timetable unfold. There are unique dioramas to observe, stunning scenery to admire and even the odd easter egg to find! But we’ll leave the exploring up to you. You might even spot one of our newly licensed Airbus aircraft flying overhead and of course, our diverse passengers. Commuters with briefcases, coffee addicts and others glued to their phones can all be bumped into across the core routes. I've The first photo in that list of features under drive tilting trains is what just convinced me to purchase it. I do hope they fix the shortcomings, but I really want to play it now and I know the fixes will take a while
Going from those screenshots I’m glad they’ve finally added the ability to sit in the instructors seat in the cab of the 1972 Stock
The screenshots are most likely taken at 4K resolution, the streams max out at 1080p and even then they are compressed with a limited bandwidth which creates smear and artefacts.
You mean “play Cajon Pass” from 4pm today? Because thats all thats on there i have all packs installed and nothing else will show up

This is weird. Couple of minutes after 19:00 CEST I restarted Steam, and – as expected – TSW 5 download was there. I clicked it, it rapidly downloaded a grand total of 10.4 GB, installed immediately. But once I started it, it opened a "fresh" copy of TSW 4, asking me about transferring my profile from TSW 3. Eventually I got to a menu of TSW 4, but without any content whatsoever. Something seems seriously wrong...
I uninstalled, deleted the game folder (not sure if necessary) and started installation again. Now it downloads 240 GB, as expected with DLCs, so I think it's fixed.
I didn't even get anything I could start after that 10GB download. Having rebooted my Windows machine I now see a 228.9GB download so that seems more credible. Hopefully the same will work for you.
"No downloads in the queue" for me, after restarting Steam. Cleared the Steam cache and selected it from the Library (thanks SLBM), so now it's downloading 222GB (which will take over 9 hours, as I've 'only' got 60Mbps out here in the sticks …)
It won't go directly to the queue, you need to select it in the library and click the "download" button. No problem, thanks for the quick reaction. It downloads properly this time, will confirm it works, once it's done
I installed the game on my XBOX, but now three hours after launch, l only have the new TSW5 deluxe game. I have purchased all content since the beginning but nothing has come across yet. DTG jan, please could you explain. Is it too early, by that l mean do l have to wait until 4pm on September 17th?

Thanks for confirming DTG JD . A manual would be great to have though. I've had a few problems so far such as not knowing about the 390 AWS fuse, struggling to work out how to find the master key and reverser on the vectron. now sorted, but a manual would be very helpful going forward.
I hadn’t owned a TSW version since TSW2 but had been playing TSW4 a little when i switched from PS4 to an Xbox Series S so took the decision to dive head first and buy the special edition alongside getting back the Sehs and also the Midland Mainline pack. i’m not a serious train buff or hard sim player but must admit I am impressed with what i have seen so far, I’ve caught the overground route bug as really into that this morning, but overall I am pleased to be back on board so to speak. i know there is a bit of flak flying about but I am happy with this release and thanks to DTG for getting me back into TSW!
But Why is the Routes Not Available to Download from the Premium Edition? We already own then and it’s unfair to hold things back
At any station on frankfurt fulda, I can't hope in the passenger doors of the db br 423 as the train wont let me step up, I have to get in through the cab door to get in. And also on frankfurt fulda, the ICE 1 and 3 don't appear on the services as well as 425 however the 425 appears as ai. Xbox series s
The false "insufficient disk space" message is caused by Windows Defender refusing (by default) to allow a 'new' program (TSW5) to write to protected space within Windows. You need to give the program permission - the easiest way is to check in 'Notifications' after the error message occurs and then follow the links to give permission. If this doesn't work: Select Windows Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Security > Virus & threat protection. Under Virus & threat protection settings, select Manage settings. Under Controlled folder access, select Manage Controlled folder access. Switch the Controlled folder access setting to On or Off (brute force) or use the "Allow an app through controlled folder access" and add the new TrainSimWorld.exe (in the Train Sim World 5 folder) as an allowed app.
I can't find the feedback thread for the WCML route interestingly, so I'll post this one extra bug on here; The Class 66 horn seems excessively quiet, both with and without the cab windows open - sounds fine from external view, just when in first person it sounds as though you're a million miles away from it! (I'm on Xbox Series S)
Besides some minor performance issues and one crash (ICE Service on Kinzigtalbahn) it woks fine on my PS5. Especially the Guard mode is interesting.
