Thank you, DTG, for (sort of) listening to the community!! You included the UPRR corridor with the CalTrain route! At least I will have fun operating Caltrain commuter operations as well as local freight. But I wish that a DLC would be soon released with the MP36 and bombardier cars, as well as freight locomotives (SD70ACE, SD70ACE-T4, ES44AC, ET44AC)!

I enjoyed the original Peninsula Corridor for TS. It looks like a pretty good remake for TSW from the pics, but you know DTG always has some rather unwelcome surprises in store for us when it's released.

I was very excited to see the article, screenshots, and video drop today. I've run both versions of the Peninsula Corridor for Train Simulator end to end dozens of times, including a northbound Caltrain run just tonight. I greatly anticipate enjoying the refreshed, reworked version of the route for TSW and will purchase on August 15 when it releases.

Re: the game lighting, I'm wondering if the promo video was shot in the game's dusk or dawn light and/or cloudy skies, so as to increase the visual ambiance for the trailer? Perhaps the light on a sunny afternoon run would look more appropriately California, because I do agree with others that the game lighting looks a little dark in the screenshots we've seen so far.

I couldn't help but notice that in the trailer and screenshots, it looks like the Caltrain local consists are simulated as 6 cars in the game. In real life, Caltrain's trains are mostly 5 cars long. Am I mistaken, or would this not matter for the sake of the game? I just don't want to get penalized for spotting incorrectly at stations if in fact it is an error.

All in all, I'm very pleased at what's to come with this DLC and eagerly await its release.

Really can't wait to see this route! Noticed the dynamically graffitied DTGX Hoppers, any confirmation of these cars or any others substituting into Sand Patch? Or the other way around with some Sand Patch cars coming to the freight section of the UP Route? This is really looking like an amazing route and will definitely be enjoying it soon!

Looks pretty damn amazing guys! The addition of freight is a welcome surprise too. Presumably this'll be at the normal price unless us console folk get a pre-order discount? :)

The DLC is looking very sharp!

DLC looks amazing, but I agree, the windows look very distracting. I watched a YouTube video of these trains before, and I don't recall the windows looking this strange before. Maybe that's how it is in real life?

This is a preview Peninsula Corridor article, I expect another one with complete DLC offer and description next week alongside with preorder.
TSW2020 is marketing thing, for most of players (like me) it's Main Update + New Route Release.

Caltrain has run 6 car consists for many years now. All of their Bombardier sets are 6 cars, and many of their Gallery sets are too. And believe me they are desperately needed. During commute times even 6 car sets end up packed to the point where people can barely board the train.

Yeah, I'm aware of that, just saying what I was most curious about in terms of the route. And of course TSW 2020 is nothing more than some updates and a new route, especially for someone who has all the DLC that are now the base game already.

Anyone else see a slight texture/lighting difference?

Regarding the windows, I have no knowledge of these trains however I assume they shouldn’t be as reflective as shown in the images and should be more see through?

Thought so too. The not sure why I said textures. I'm hoping the lighting difference is just from the shadows and not some odd bug.

That the only freight locomotive is a "diesel switcher" is promising. What now seems a long time ago, I bought the Peninsula Corridor - San Fransisco to Gilroy route for TS and enjoyed its switching activities. As always, I enjoy switching operations much more than general freight movements or passenger operations, so I'm hoping this route includes lots of yard time.

    Just 2 weeks to go!

Wonder if there'll be generic air traffic taking off/landing at SFO given the runway's proximity to Millbrae? Pretty sure we got low-flying aircraft on the NEC route, would be a nice touch.

In the trailer, one of the first clips of the maintenance facility shows a plane flying in the background.

Dmtri has posted that we should be getting a live stream today (August 2nd) showing off the new TS19 route and then TSW2020 features and the peninsula corridor route. If that is the case we should have a lot more information today!

Ok. But it doesn't say anything about a steam on the 15th. TrainSim-Dmitri , can you shed any light on this?

I never said we will be showing TSW2020 features. It's a TS19 stream only. TSW2020 stream will come closer to its' launch.

How can folks find out in advance when a stream will occur? How long do streams remain available?
