Issue Regarding the Class 390 AI: At night time, they seem to be running Daytime Running lights instead of Night Running lights I believe, On series S! (I’m the train on the left, purple Avanti)

 

They know about the timetable and there being big gaps in it for the Lioness Line.
There are also a lot of BKL services missing from the timetable.
It was their choice.

 

Yet another Service that is meant to call at Watford Junction but on game says not to.
This time the Service is 9M62 Edinburgh to London Euston. (390/0 Timetable)

Again absolute joke that all the information is their for everyone to see and yet can't get it right and I can only assume Rivet have done the timetables as DTG is much better than this.

 

Class 350 - The ventilation noises in the cab occasionally just cut out and then never come back on again. This makes the cab completely silent when stopped which is kinda immersion breaking to me. I don't remember the class 380 having this issue, so I'm surprised that this is happening now in the 350.

 

Did a mega stream today. Last run of the night was the best.
On the approach to Watford I was on the down relief with the 66. Either side of me a a pendo past me on the left whilst a 377 passed me on the right heading for London town. As I was coming out of Watford heading north a pendo came screaming past me . Awesome. Will try and get the service number in the morning. The service was 4M41.

I don’t know if this has already been noted, but I am constantly emergency braked when coming into Euston Station even when I have the brakes applied and are below 20 mph

 

Ah yes to prevent that you need to Press the Train Stop Override Button which is a Yellow Square on your left As your coming into Euston

 

You're likely coming-in too fast and tripped by the TPWS plates - it caught me out once in a scenario. There are 15mph plates at the start of the platforms, although this isn't reflected in the HUD. I now stay below 15mph on entering the platforms and don't get any trouble from the TPWS.

Short Render Distance - wasn't this a problem with Rivet's FCL which caused the Forth Bridge to just pop in?

 

The 390 on some occasions on PS5 runs with the front panto up instead of the rear panto

 

In the class 350 when I get out of my seat, it moves the camera into the ceiling and I can't move or interact with anything. I'm stuck. Does anyone remember the keybind to sit in the last passenger seat you sat in?

edit: disregard. found out that ctrl + 0 is how to get back in your seat. Very useful if anyone needs it.

I've not actually had any crashes on it so far.......

 

To be honest I think this route will be great with updated busier timetable for the bakerloo line & London overground services I really enjoy it personally I just wish the the information screens get updated hopefully we get the livery back too.

But the only bug I did kept experiencing was when I was in conductor mode when I did external view (8) would usually end the service and say that I've left the train on Xbox app/PC

For me it's just updated information screens, a much more busier line & more 8&12 car consists of you guys could update the map signage like in the bakerloo line at stations that be awesome but other than it's great but it does needs it's improvements

 

Yeah the AI 390 only do up to 110 and the 350 do up to 100.

 

First of all, the route is great and really fun to drive! Even if a bit rough around the edges at the moment, I'm sure many issues will be fixed over the coming weeks.

Here are some of the issues I noticed playing on my Xbox One X. Since it's 8th generation, I know some of these problems may be down to performance on this older platform:

• I did a Pendolino timetable run from Euston to Milton Keynes. When going through Bletchley, none of the scenery (platform, etc) had rendered. It looked like I was going too fast for the rendering engine to have the area rendered in time for my train's arrival.
• The area between Tring and Cheddington in real life is actually quite hilly as the line cuts through the Chilterns. I think this is one of the most scenic parts of the WCML South, but I didn't see any hills rendered along that part. It would be great if the landscape could be improved in this area in a future update.
• I tried to spawn a train (the Training Centre 323) at Bushey on the DC Lines in timetable mode with the intention of doing a run up to Watford via Watford Junction. Despite my attempt, the dispatcher wouldn't allow me to set any routes along that line – not even a few metres in front of the train – stating none of the destinations were reachable.
• At some stations, especially south of Watford, station signage, posters, etc render at such low quality the text isn't even readable. I experienced a similar problem on the Suffragette Line on TSW4 initially, although it seemed to be addressed in a later patch. Hopefully it's fixable here as well.
• More of a grumble, but it's very disappointing to not have Bakerloo Line trains running. One of the things I was looking forward to the most for this route was being able to do the DC lines with both Underground and Overground stock. I appreciate performance comes first, but since TSW5 supports control over the timetable layering would it be possible to default the Bakerloo to off, but allow users to enable it whilst disabling other train types?

Not gonna stop replying until someone at DTG acknowledges the constant crashes on Series S

 

I too am entering at 15mph or below, and have had no issues. The speed limit is incorrectly shown in the hud and needs fixing.

 

Signal WM332 (coming out of Wembley depot) isn't showing junction indicator (Position 4) when routed across. Seen on service 5H04 but likely any service that takes the same route.

Signal WM109 (route X out of Euston) AWS ramp always triggers AWS warning even with green signal.

Approaching Hemel Hempstead P3 from London, there are two AWS ramps that always trigger warning but the first one doesn't appear to be indicating anything. The second I can only assume is for the advanced warning of 60mph when diverging.

 

I think it is done that way on purpose so you can leave the station at 25mph.

 

I did notice this yesterday that there is a 15 mph sign just before you enter the platforms in Euston, but these have not been activated to tell you on screen it's 15mph. So you go in at 25mph and get TPWS'd. It's happened to me a few times.

A couple of cosmetic things to feedback as constructive criticism…

Tunnels, well the flashing light issue has been noted but as much as I could observe at a virtual 125 MPH some of the architecture seems off. I’m convinced the portals are not quite as they are IRL particularly the single bores at Northchurch and Linslade. Also emerging from some of the tunnels, Primrose Hill on the Up Fast one example, you can see that the tunnel mouth is smaller than the tunnel lining so rather than being flush with the portal you are seeing a brick wall with a portal in it. The portal size needs to seamlessly blend with the lining.

Oh and one other thing, but some of the bridges north of Leighton Buzzard don’t seem to have had the reverb effect added. So someone needs to sweep through the route and check all the road over rail structures have reverb enabled.

 

Oh I thought they genuinely entered at 25 this is to reduce traffic. This is from the WCML stream. I shall ask An Avanti Driver

Definitely 15 at the ramp of the platform and in reality you would then need to be doing 7/8mph over the TWPS grids nearer the end to not get tripped. I don't know if its a limitation of the game that you can't have a limit of 15 in and 25 out, so they've just set it for 25.

I was also going to make a note of signals with AWS issues, but there are just so many that someone really just needs to go through everything again and sort them out.

 

It is and it also makes no sense. An hourly service would have been bad, every 30 mins I could cope with but given there are 4 services per hour in real life, 90 minute gaps during the day is immersion-breaking.

Error report: The final 710 ECS service of the day in the Timetable (I think the departure is 00:55 but it's the only Watford Junction to Willesden Sidings run) the service returns UP to the depot on the DOWN DC/Bakerloo line. Wouldn't happen in real life.

The 710's Timetable is not only sparse but a complete mess of an afterthought.

 

They need a better way of doing that. I try and drive by the signs and not the hud, so I saw them and slowed down and didn't even realise, but there are many who drive by the hud and they're doing what the game says and getting a penalty. I imagine it can be kind of off-putting when you don't know what is happening.

 

DTG Alex there are several tiles that appear all along the route (PC - Steam) I find it impossible to believe that these have not been seen during Beta Testing/QC

 

Do you have any engine.ini changes or mods installed. I haven’t seen them (yet) in my standard install, but I did as soon as I started trying mods.

 

Maybe there have been localised outbreaks of miserable grey UK winter weather that plague our nation from October to March (or in the case of 2024; October to Late July).

 

Seems like they are following the line speed and not the EPS.

 

Can't quite recall that, but I know one can be seen at cheddington, the other somewhere south. Had set foliage.LODDistanceScale=3.
Looks like they're done automated but something went wrong.

 

The following Class 66 Timetable Services are odd.
20:03 6M69: Sizewell - Crewe
20:38 6M95: Dungeness - Crewe
Both of these are going to be services from the respective Nuclear Power Stations yet are hauling container freight! I realise the correct stock for these services may not be available, but anything would look better than containers here!
If you are going to stick with containers for these runs, then pretend they are services from Felixstowe/Thamesport?

Out of the three routes included in the core game I have been enjoying this one the least, massively disappointed in the lack of quality.

The timetable is the biggest contributing factor to this with a pitiful amount of LO and LU traffic missing.

Other problems include:
TPWS at Euston
Lights turning off during guard mode
No off world PIS
Invisible walls at stations in unnecessary places
PIS boards not working
No GSMR in both the 390 and 377
Bad station modelling (especially on the Lioness line)
LOD on the 72 stock has been ruined
Freight services use the passenger speed limits in places
The layer selector is super basic and only let's you remove three layers

I could go on and on honestly, what a shame

 

They should really learn to mind the gap!

 

I've just noticed that off world destinations are working in some places but not others

 

I'd like to thank whoever thought of the idea to put the London Midland logo in the livery designer. It's a lifesaver

 

Small observation: I’m wondering why the route hopping location at Queen’s Park is on the “disused” main line platforms instead of where the Bakerloo and Overground lines are? Seems it might break the immersion when moving back and forth between the two routes.

 

Maybe someone could finish off the fields?? I'll give you (DTG) a hint, go and look at Blackpool Branches and see how to do them properly.
