Steam Transferring Dlc From Tsw 4 To Tsw 5

Hello everyone!
I tried to transfer content from TSW 4 to TSW 5, but after checking Steam starts downloading again anyway.

..\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Train Sim World 4\WindowsNoEditor\TS2Prototype\Content\DLC

To:

..\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Train Sim World 5\WindowsNoEditor\TS2Prototype\Content\DLC

Maybe something is wrong? Maybe I should transfer some more files from other directories?

 

You can not just copy/transfer your files across.
You have to install TSW5 with a fresh install from steam.

 

You do not "transfer" DLC. Your DLC ownership will be transferred to TSW5. You must download them again, else you're risking crashes and unexpected behaviour using TSW4 paks, and any upcoming patch will trigger a full redownload of all DLC because Steam will detect wrong file checksums.

 

That's very sad. I compared, DLC's have different checksums, but in terms of data size they are about the same. I just wanted to avoid re-downloading a dozen gigabytes, ehh...
