I’ve been playing wcml on Xbox series x and the textures keep going very low detail train and surrounding scenery sometimes it returns to normal but I have some Xbox error messages saying out of video memory.
I also tested the Salzburg Rosenheim map on PS5 and it's also bad for Salzburg... I'm afraid that TSW5 is currently not suitable for the console
Almost every route I try it seems to be affected on Series X. So I've decided it's time to take a break until they have said there is a fix in a patch. I figure maybe by the first Winter update, so until then.
It almost looks like it's the same on PS5..... I'm starting to have similar feelings about going back to TSW4 until they fix TSW5
I am having the same thing on the series S so seems to be a wider issue, and really does need solving quickly. TSW5 performance is clearly lower on both the xbox and PC and I don't even have any of the TSW5 routes on PC.
In TSW5, I think the cab textures are showing much better than TSW4, but this seems to come at the expense of environment textures (for example, the bridge between Rochester and Strood on SEHS often appears as a plain green wall instead of the crossed steel) Xbox One btw
What are you even talking about? Every Series X/S game is 1: The same, fundamentally, as a Scarlett, rather than Durango build. but crucially 2: Different, in that it toggles which features are available as defined by the hardware it is running on. You cannot just "Make a separate version" of a game for each different Gen9 XBox, the point is to be able to unplug your SSD from one console, put it in the other, and get that console's version of the game immediately. The install contains "both" versions and turns stuff off or on as required by the hardware. Hence things like the resolution differences and the different availability of content depending which console you load it on. The LoD bug is nothing to do with not "separating the versions", it's just that they screwed something up with how it handles memory on all XBox systems.
Xbox Series X has Not the Same Draw Distance and Quality as PS5, because it used the Series S Version for it
i’ve been having the same problem on PC, all the textures are low quality until i fly near them, at which point they are then normal for about 30 seconds until i have to do the same again, which is extremely annoying in the case of ballast
I'm genuinely wondering if it has to do with the amount of downloads or layers someone has. As I haven't encountered these issues at all on my series X. Maybe a reduced amount of add-ons could help?
I thought this initially, but now not so sure as the game still crashes regardless, including video memory errors. I'm on Series X too.
It's clearly some kind of memory issue, which as we've seen elsewhere are getting more noticeable the more the game's loading into memory from ever more layers. If anything, the X using slightly lower settings than PS5 for various things should REDUCE that, it would not be a cause of it as some have implied. It's a curious one because many devs choose the opposite route when developing cross-platform, PS5 often gets marginally lower resolution and draw settings but runs at a more consistent 60 while Series X versions often push those settings higher and have more FPS dips as a result, presumably a choice made due to XBox having had VRR support since launch.
