TLDR: If, after a certain amount of time driving, you have issues with the doors not locking and the "lock doors" task not completing, make sure that the "Electric Train Supply" (Zugsammelschienen - ZS) is active. I've seen reports from people having issues with the door task not completing or doors not locking. These reports seem to include that the issues start appearing after a certain station. I am not 100% sure that this is the cause but I suspect that these issues (or at least a subset of them) are caused by the battery load shedding. Below 18 volts the battery in each coach will make the "Minimalspannungsrelais" (minimum voltage relay - abbreviated MSP) trip and shut off several important systems, like the Mg-brakes, NBÜ/ep (emergency override/ep-brake assist), anti-skid, and relevant for the door issues: door locking. The doors won't lock in this state of the MSP. The MSP has 4 states, 1 is the lowest (above mentioned) and 4 is the highest which is active when the battery is enabled and being charged by the train line Electric Train Supply (ZS). Intermediate steps will load shed less important systems like the climate control, main coach lights etc. You will know if the ZS is active by the "ZS aus" light extinguishing on the MFA indicator panel. The ZS has to be re-activated every time you deactivate the cab or open the main circuit breaker. Even if the battery is low on charge and has started load shedding, you can quickly get the MSP back to step 4 by activating the ZS again. This should then immediately make door locking functioning (and the other systems I mentioned, like anti-skid which the speedometer uses). Let me know if this doesn't solve the issues
I've only had Problems in the "Take a Cab Back" Scenario. At the Station of Freilassing and Rosenheim I couldn't open the doors despite everything else was working as Intended. However, everytime I put the door controller in it's supposed position, the doors were still locked (while ZS active) and even the Conductors Key didn't really work, only about a few minutes after spamming "unlock". Also sometimes when I've used the door controller to either release or lock all, the sound "Schließvorgang eingeleitet" kept repeating 2 to 4 times in a row. And even when I chose "release left" or "release right", even in that position the Train said "schließvorgang eingeleitet" and it happened in both, the Loco and Cab Car. However, I've only noticed this Issue in the mentioned scenario.
posts like this make me want a "pin post" feature on this forum... or maybe I should create a Google document where I can copy helpful comments, yes, I think I will do that right now
what if I have 218 coupled instead of 101? this procedure only works on 101 (which is an electric loco)
No, the 218 very much also has Electric Train Supply. It's called that because it supplies the train with electricity, not because it's something that only electric trains have.
I've had this too, but in a normal timetable run on Nahverkehr Dresden. ZS was absolutely on, and I gave up trying to get the doors open. I'm really hoping to find a way to reproduce it to help the devs.
Neutral sections on both, Nahverkehr Dresden and Salzburg Rosenheim? Might be the issue if ZS isn't reactivated after those.
The problems remain here after doing this. That after closing the doors TSW sees him green but not completely.
Why does the battery deplete in non expert mode? I have issues with the doors in the cab car and expert mode is not enabled.
I am having the same problems even with ZS on. Mainly in free roam with the 218 and 111 on the back pushing.
For those that still are having door issues, could you please provide some more information? 1. Have you confirmed that the "ZS aus" light is extinguished on the cab car or BR101 MFA (indicator panel)? 2. On the cab car, can you check the overhead fault panel if any indicators are illuminated and if so which? 3. Is this with a full Expert formation or a mix of legacy and Expert vehicles? If the latter, please describe what vehicle you are driving from and the whole formation. 4. How are you controlling the doors? With the physical door side selector switch in the cab or HUD?
1. ZS Aus was definatley extinguished whilst driving from the cab car. 2. No faults were illuminated when driving away from Koblenz on LFR, and the train drove fine until my first stop in Boppard where the door problem arose. After this the „Türen Schliessen“ light was on. (ZS Aus still not illuminated). 3. Driving from the Cab Car with full expert formation and the DB BR 111 pushing. (ZWS was selected in the 111). 4. I was using the door selector in the Cab. Mode was Free Roam on Linke Rheinstrecke, Consist put together in Formation Designer. Also to note is that I have had no problems with the doors on Rosenheim-Salzburg or Dresden-Riesa yet.
Hi all had the same Issue - could solve with the procedure above. In Plus i switched off/on the LSS 46F100 (UIC - BGT Türsteuerung) then the door opened again
I'll talk specifically about the "Take a Cab Back" scenario since I think it's the most reproducible method / most peculiar. 1: ZS aus off in the cab car. 2: none before stop, Bremse & NBÜ/ep when stopped 3: full expert (typical 101 + IC + cab car) 4: physical selector Doors work driving into Salzburg in the 101, and after switching to the cab car, I have confirmed the doors work by closing then reopening the doors before departing for Freilassing. Train Line Supply was restarted after crossing the river. Doors don't release upon reaching Freilassing, only way to open any doors was turning the key at the cab car. I fixed the doors by switching cabs and messing with the door control switch and door selector in the BR 101, but it took a few tries. While I thought it might be a setup issue when changing cabs, I feel like the odd thing is the doors only breaking after leaving Salzburg. Could be the scenario just being broken though, unsure.
Noticed that too. Didn’t have any problems with other scenarios but this one was quite a headache. The brakes venting first (that was discussed and answered in another thread) and then this door weirdness. Only thing that ended up working for me after Salzburg was the guard’s key at the cab car door.
1."ZS aus" light is extinguished. 2."Bremse" and "NBÜ / ep", but I think they all not ralative to doors. 3.A full Expert formation. 4.Physical door side selector. The situation is after I switch the selector to "Lock All(锁定全部)", the Right doors are not indicated to be locked. I must swith it to "Unlock Right Doors(解锁右侧车门)", then "Lock All", then the doors can be locked. I uploaded a video of Scenario: Touchdown. You can check these timestamps: 00:32:36, 00:42:15, 00:54:43. https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV1k1e4edEwo?vd_source=0801f0811fcc1d2c78d5890f46d9ddef
When is this scenario braking bug going to be fixed doors don't just unlock randomly and the Speedo stops working
I have a question regarding this for creating a timetable with the expert 101 and expert coaches. For some reason, the doors won't open when arriving on a platform as AI service with an unload task. Afterwards, the service terminates and the player service is supposed to start, continuing with unloading, before departing to depot. But somehow this does not work. When I take over the 101 after the AI service terminates without actually opening and closing the doors, I cannot get the doors to open in PIE (and in simulated timetable, it gets stuck). But the door control does work in theory: if I allow the left doors to open, manually go to one door, open it and then close it with the door selector in the cab, that closing is registered.
Because it's not a bug Make sure that the "ZS aus" light is not lit on the MFA. Every time the cab is deactivated or the main circuit breaker is opened the "Electric Train Supply" (Zugsammelschiene) has to be re-enabled (move the rotary switch to the "Start" position and hold until the light goes out). It is possible that this system fails as a simulated fault. On both the BR 101 and Bpmmbdzf cab car the "ZS aus" light will illuminate and on the BR 101 there will be a fault status on the St page, accompanied by a "Störung" alarm. On the Bpmmbdzf there will also be a fault light on the upper fault panel. Check the breakers on the back side of the cab car cab and in the electrical cabinet (S1), or inside the machine room of the BR 101. The manual has more details. If you don't feel comfortable with faults enabled you can disable Expert Mode in the player assist settings or disable the fault simulation on the EBuLa St page. You will still need to ensure that ZS has been enabled however.
cwf.green thank you for this perfect explanation it tested that with the "Zugsammelschiene" and it works have only to figure out with the "störung Alarm" which till now didnt appears really often. cheerrs
